Abstract

Beta carotene is provitamin essential role for vitamin A formation. Most of vitamin Asources are ß-carotene. In the body, ß-carotene will be converted into vitamin A. Chilies areconsidered as one of the essential food. Chillies are known as very good sources of ß-carotene.Therefore, it is important to conduct a research in order to observe the content of ß-carotene inthe chillies using visible spectrophotometry. Fresh chillies were extracted with a mixture ofhexane:acetone:ethanol (2:1:1) v/v using a maceration method. After the extraction process wascomplete, aquabidest was added. The extraction result was non-polar phase. It was separatedand evaporated. The residue was further subjected to qualitative and quantitative analysis102 Pharmaҫiana, Vol. 4, No. 2, 2014: 101-109obtained. Qualitative analysis by using Carr-Price method. Determination of ß-carotene wasconducted using visible spectrophotometry method at 452,4 nm. The qualitative test resultsshowed that the Capsicum annuum L. Var. abreviatum Fingerhuth, Capsicum annuum L. Var.Longum sendt) and Capsicum frutescens L. contain ß-carotene. From the research, it wasobtained that the average levels of ß-carotene on the Capsicum annuum L. Var. abreviatumFingerhuth was (10,54±0,07) mg/100g, Capsicum annuum L. Var. Longum sendt was(5,57±0,13) mg/100g and Capsicum frutescens L. was about (0,36±0,01) mg/100g. Statisticalanalysis using LSD test of ß-carotene levels in the Capsicum annuum L. Var. abreviatumFingerhuth, Capsicum annuum L. Var. Longum sendt) and Capsicum frutescens L. weresignificantly different at P of 0.05.

Abstract

Desa Tamansari Kecamatan Karanglewas Kabupaten Banyumas merupakan salah satu desa yang sering mengalami kekeringan. Kegiatan eksplorasi sumber air tanah telah dilakukan menggunakan teknik geolistrik dengan konfigurasi Schlumberger. Teknik geolistrik ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis dan kedalaman lapisan akuifer air tanah dan struktur batuan bawah permukaan berdasarkan nilai resistivitasnya. Akuisisi data geolistrik resistivitas dilakukan di empat titik sounding dengan panjang masing-masing lintasan adalah 400 m. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa struktur lapisan batuan bawah permukaan berdasarkan nilai resistivitasnya tersusun atas tanah penutup (0,18 – 5,25 m), batupasir konglomeratan (24,38 – 155,26 Ωm), batulempung pasiran (5,07 – 20,19 Ωm), batulempung karbonatan (napal) (2,57 – 3,41 Ωm), pasir lempungan (2,82 – 6,26 Ωm) dan batuan breksi (101,45 – 153,00 Ωm). Jenis akuifer air tanah yang diperoleh adalah akuifer tertekan, dimana lapisan akuifer ini ditemukan pada titik-titik sounding Sch-1, Sch-2, Sch-3, dan Sch-4 dengan kedalaman berkisar 48,89 – 145,64 m dari permukaan topografi. Litologi lapisan akuifer tertekan ini adalah pasir lempungan dengan ketebalan 46,11 – 84,5 m. Akuifer tertekan merupakan lapisan akuifer yang berpotensi di daerah penelitian. Sedangkan akuifer bebas tidak ditemukan di daerah penelitian.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of distribution, scarcity, and the use of merchant base applications on the purchasing decisions of 3kg LPG gas customers at PT Agung Cipta Sentosa Berdikari. The background of this study is based on the importance of sustainable household energy supplies, especially 3kg LPG, which is a basic need for the community. Uneven distribution, the issue of scarcity, and the less than optimal use of digital technology by bases are challenges that need to be reviewed from a consumer behavior perspective. The research subjects were active customers who purchased 3kg LPG at the company. Sampling was determined using the Slovin formula with a margin of error of 10% from a population of 359 customers, resulting in 78 respondents. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, documentation, and the distribution of structured questionnaires. The research instrument was tested through validity and reliability tests which showed that all questionnaire items met the requirements for reliability and validity. Classical assumption tests such as normality, linearity, and multicollinearity were also conducted and showed that the data were suitable for analysis using multiple linear regression. The results of the study indicate that distribution, scarcity, and the use of merchant base applications simultaneously and partially have a positive and significant effect on the purchase decision of 3kg LPG. Timely and equitable distribution increases customer trust. Scarcity creates a perception of urgent need that encourages purchases. Meanwhile, the use of merchant base applications provides easy access to information and price transparency, thereby increasing customer convenience in transactions. The implications of this study's results demonstrate the importance of an efficient distribution strategy, good stock management to avoid shortages, and digitalization of services through merchant base applications to support consumer decisions.

Abstract

Effective marketing programs and efforts to educate consumers about the efficacy and use of products can help create greater awareness and build loyalty. This study investigated the influence between brand awareness, brand association, product quality, product price, and customer loyalty on Tolak Angin products at Nirmala Brebes Store. The population of this study was Tolak Angin customers at the Nirmala Brebes Store. The sample was taken 25% of the population of 412 people, so 103 respondents were obtained. The results showed that brand awareness has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty, brand associations have a positive and significant effect on customers, product quality has a positive and significant effect on customers, price has a positive and significant effect on customers. Simultaneously, brand awareness, brand association, product quality, and product price have an influence on customer loyalty of Tolak Angin products at Nirmala Brebes Store by 84.4%.
