Abstract

Energy is something that people need every day. One of the energies that are glorified to meet people's energy needs is electrical energy. The need for electrical energy in Indonesia continues to increase in line with economic growth and the increasing population. One of the components of electric power that is useful for delivering electric current to transmission networks is a substation. With the feasibility of techno-economic, it is possible to know the feasibility of the quality of an electric power system based on financial analysis. This paper provides a mini-review of the techno-economy of substation electricity and its maintenance in several regions in Indonesia today. The research stages consist of literature study, identification of article titles, article abstract screening, complete article selection, and mini-review reviews. Several studies are still not widely applied to the calculation of the cost of energy consumption to customers. In addition, the basic cost of providing electricity, the profit from electricity sales, and the payback period method need to be improved in research related to the techno-economic analysis of electrical energy. It is important to do this to determine the potential feasibility and the estimated advantages and disadvantages of an electric power system.

Abstract

Electroplating uses aluminum material, where it’s easy to obtain, lighter, and cheaper than other metals. The research goal was to determine the ability of the electric current to power aluminum (Al) coated with silver (Ag) by the electroplating method, to determine the effect of the magnitude of the electric current and the length of time the coating process took on the weight of Al coated with Ag and to determine the strength of the metal Al after tested using Brinnell test. The method used is to compare pure Al and pure Al coated with Ag by electroplating at different currents to determine the effect of the electroplating process. A Brinnell test was carried out to determine the hardness of the Al material after electroplating. The results are the amount of current that flows during the electroplating is directly proportional to the thickness of the electroplating layer attached to the Al surface. If the electroplating process uses a large current, the attached layer will look rough and not smooth, which also affects the material testing by using the Brinnell method. The Brinnell test proves that the hardness value of the Al material is directly proportional to the thickness of the layer.

Abstract

Medical emergency conditions required patients to be mobilized by ambulance quickly, precisely, and accurately. To save the patient, the ambulance acted as a helper and hope for the patient to survive until the patients reach the hospital. The ambulance has to go through the fastest and closest way to reach the hospital. However, problems arise when road conditions do not support the creation of the fastest and closest ambulance. Due to congested road conditions, it will be possible to delay the ambulance from reaching the hospital or other unwanted events. The road and traffic conditions that can be controlled for the smooth running of the ambulance need special attention. Smart-iMbulance framework modeling allows an ambulance to move quickly and precisely to reach the nearest hospital. This paper provides a transportation model for vehicles, an application model as an embedded program in an ambulance, and a traffic management plan as a solution offered for ambulances on the road.

Abstract

The use of information technology in human management today has increased, along with the implementation of intelligent systems that generally use artificial intelligence (AI) in their application. One of the areas of human management that has adopted AI is talent management (TM). TM is crucial for companies to identify, manage, determine, assess, and recommend talent (in this case, it can be employees) for their company's sustainability. The application of family planning in TM is not as extensive as thought, but this study tries to review the latest research that adapts AI to a very complex TM process. The results of this review are at least 11 articles involved in the use of family planning. These 11 articles certainly discuss one or more processes in TM, such as talent identification, talent matching or mapping, and talent recommendations. Some critical studies in the future are that in practice, AI needs to be widely used, especially to handle large-scale data management (data intelligence), in addition to intelligent system methods, and AI can be used for all processes in TM, proven to be accurate, efficient, safe, and fast in practice.

Abstract

The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) which was developed by Saaty is a decision-making tool in the year of 1970s. The system is able to solve the complex analysis which could not be performed by the human brain. In this project, the AHP system is chosen to select a better insulating oil for power transformer oil application since the insulation is the most important part of a transformer. In this research method based on the AHP technique, there are six criteria are involved in the model, namely breakdown voltage, dissipation factor/tan delta, pour point, kinematic viscosity, density, and flash point. While, the given alternatives are palm oil, canola oil, palm fatty acid ester (PFAE) oil, corn oil, sunflower oil, and soybean oil, respectively. A spreadsheet software application (Microsoft Excel) was employed in this study. As the result, it is found that the PFAE oil is the best insulating oil that able to be used in a real power transformer oil application. All requirements as insulating oil for transformer oil of PFAE oil are met significantly.
