Abstract

Energy is something that people need every day. One of the energies that are glorified to meet people's energy needs is electrical energy. The need for electrical energy in Indonesia continues to increase in line with economic growth and the increasing population. One of the components of electric power that is useful for delivering electric current to transmission networks is a substation. With the feasibility of techno-economic, it is possible to know the feasibility of the quality of an electric power system based on financial analysis. This paper provides a mini-review of the techno-economy of substation electricity and its maintenance in several regions in Indonesia today. The research stages consist of literature study, identification of article titles, article abstract screening, complete article selection, and mini-review reviews. Several studies are still not widely applied to the calculation of the cost of energy consumption to customers. In addition, the basic cost of providing electricity, the profit from electricity sales, and the payback period method need to be improved in research related to the techno-economic analysis of electrical energy. It is important to do this to determine the potential feasibility and the estimated advantages and disadvantages of an electric power system.

Abstract

Electroplating uses aluminum material, where it’s easy to obtain, lighter, and cheaper than other metals. The research goal was to determine the ability of the electric current to power aluminum (Al) coated with silver (Ag) by the electroplating method, to determine the effect of the magnitude of the electric current and the length of time the coating process took on the weight of Al coated with Ag and to determine the strength of the metal Al after tested using Brinnell test. The method used is to compare pure Al and pure Al coated with Ag by electroplating at different currents to determine the effect of the electroplating process. A Brinnell test was carried out to determine the hardness of the Al material after electroplating. The results are the amount of current that flows during the electroplating is directly proportional to the thickness of the electroplating layer attached to the Al surface. If the electroplating process uses a large current, the attached layer will look rough and not smooth, which also affects the material testing by using the Brinnell method. The Brinnell test proves that the hardness value of the Al material is directly proportional to the thickness of the layer.

Abstract

Talent management is a factor that determines success in the business environment because talent management requires quantitative and qualitative skills. This study aims to implement the certainty factor (CF) method of an expert system for employee development talent management. This research using a certainty factor (CF) method to design an expert system framework. Due to the focus on our research aim, we provide a certainty factor calculation with mathematical modeling for calculating talent management employee development in X Company. The confidence level is 93.55% for a recommendation of not promotion of the job; for 52.38% is a recommendation that can be proposed for promotion, but HRD will evaluate in some time; for 98.73% is a recommendation for promotion of the job. We used CF calculation that can provide the level of confidence (in %). The calculation of the certainty factor (CF) method can be used for recommending job promotion in some companies.

Abstract

Since Covid-19 was declared a global pandemic because it has spread throughout the world, every effort has been made to help prevent and tackle the transmission of Covid-19, including information technology. Information technology developed to determine the shortest distance for Covid-19 cases around us needs to be developed. This research implements Dijkstra's Algorithm written in the React Native programming language to build a Covid-19 tracking application. The system can display the closest distance with a radius of at least one meter, and the test results can map the nearest radius of 41 meters and the most immediate radius of 147 meters. This system is built for the compatibility of Android OS and iOS applications with React Native programming.

Abstract

Energi merupakan sebuah keharusan yang dibutuhkan masyarakat. Meningkatnya jumlah penduduk di Indonesia menjadikan peningkatan penggunaan energi, dalam hal ini peran energi tidak terbarukan semakin terancam, sehingga perlunya memanfaatkan dan memaksimalkan potensi-potensi energi baru terbarukan yang ada di seluruh wilayah Indonesia seperti panas bumi, energi air, energi angin, bioenergi (bioetanol, biodiesel, biomassa), energi arus laut, energi nuklir, dan energi surya. Artikel ulasan ini merupakan peninjauan potensi-potensi energi baru terbarukan yang ada di Indonesia. Pemanfaatan energi baru terbarukan harapannya dapat dimulai dari masyarakat yang memanfaatkan energi berskala kecil sehingga dapat menjaga lingkungan, mendukung pembangunan berkelanjutan, dan mendukung ketahanan energi nasional.

Abstract

Covid-19 telah menyebar ke seluruh dunia dan berdampak pada sektor pendidikan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dalam rangka mewujudkan Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi yakni dengan salah satunya kegiatan KKN Tematik Covid-19. Program Kerja KKN Tematik Covid-19 salah satunya di bidang pendidikan yaitu pendampingan pembelajaran melalui teknologi informasi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei s.d. Juni 2020 di Kelurahan Sokanegara Kabupaten Banyumas secara daring, dan Agustus s.d. September 2020 di Desa Wonotopo dan Desa Sumbersari Kabupaten Purworejo secara daring dan tatap muka. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik random sampling dengan populasi siswa SD/sederajat, SMP/sederajat, SMA/sederajat, dan mengabaikan jenis kelamin, kelas, serta asal sekolah. Hasil yang diperolah yakni sebanyak 7 dari 10 siswa menyatakan pembelajaran menggunakan teknologi informasi yang dilaksanakan selama 2-3 jam per harinya di Desa Wonotopo maupun di Kelurahan Sokanegara yakni kurang efektif dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran tatap muka di Desa Sumbersari. Ketujuh siswa tersebut merasa kurang memahami sepenuhnya materi yang disampaikan melalui fasilitas teknologi informasi, sesekali siswa dijelaskan melalui telepon langsung, dan hasilnya tetap kurang memuaskan. Evaluasi metode pembelajaran melalui teknologi informasi perlu dilakukan guna meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan melalui teknologi informasi selama pandemi Covid-19.

Abstract

Dijkstra is a greedy algorithm that gives a choice of several available shortest routes and then provides a solution. The application of Dijkstra's Algorithm in everyday life is very diverse. This study collects research results regarding the application of Dijkstra's Algorithm to solve everyday problems such as the shortest path problem, this mini-review paper can explain the study of Dijkstra's Algorithm for various things, including solving bi-objective shortest routes, multi-objective routes, emergency evacuation, Dijkstra's graph, the connection between LBS features, best route distribution, and fuzzy solution.

Abstract

Pembelajaran yang memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dapat meningkatkankompetensi dan cakupan pemahaman ilmu bagi siswa. Matematika merupakan queen ofscience bagi perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi (IPTEK). Seiring denganperkembangan teknologi, peran ilmu matematika sangat penting sebagai buah kontribusidari lajunya perkembangan IPTEK yang dewasa ini sudah teradaptasi dengan teknologiterkini. Kesulitan utama siswa dalam memahami materi pembelajaran salah satunyamateri persamaan diferensial pada ilmu matematika di kelas dipengaruhi beberapa faktor,sehingga perlu adanya sebuah media pembelajaran khusus yang memanfaatkan fasilitasteknologi guna kemudahan proses pembelajaran dan pemahaman materi bagi siswa,seperti media pembelajaran matematika materi persamaan diferensial yang berbasisaplikasi mobile. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun media pembelajaranmatematika pada materi persamaan diferensial, dan media ini berbasis aplikasi Android,sehingga dapat digunakan oleh para pengguna smartphone Android dalam memahamimateri persamaan diferensial. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode pengembangansistem secara waterfall. Hasil berupa implementasi sistem dalam bentuk aplikasi Androidmedia pembelajaran materi persamaan diferensial. Aplikasi media pembelajaranmatematika materi persamaan diferensial ini dapat berjalan dengan baik pada smartphoneAndroid dan setiap pengujian fitur berhasil menghasilkan sesuai harapan.

Abstract

Etologi merupakan cabang ilmu biologi yang khusus mempelajari mengenai pengetahuan tingkah laku hewan. Mempelajari tingkah laku hewan (etologi) ini dapat ditemukan untuk studi pada jenjang perguruan tinggi. Dewasa ini, teknologi telah berkembang hingga dapat digunakan untuk sarana media pembelajaran di bidang biologi. Studi ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun aplikasi media pembelajaran yang berbasis Android untuk pembelajaran Etologi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk merancang dan membangun media pembelajaran berbasis Android dengan metode system development life cycle (SDLC) tipe waterfall. Tahapan dalam metode SDLC tipe waterfall terdiri atas analisis (analysis), desain (design), penulisan skrip (coding), dan pengujian sistem (testing). Hasil penelitian berupa desain user-interface (UI) media pembelajaran yang digunakan untuk penulisan skrip menjadi produk aplikasi Android (Android mobile-app). Aplikasi media pembelajaran ini dapat digunakan untuk sarana pembelajaran, karena dapat menggantikan buku ajar teks ataupun modul cetak karena sangat efisien bersifat digital dan dapat dibawa ke mana saja dan di mana saja.
