Abstract

Since Covid-19 was declared a global pandemic because it has spread throughout the world, every effort has been made to help prevent and tackle the transmission of Covid-19, including information technology. Information technology developed to determine the shortest distance for Covid-19 cases around us needs to be developed. This research implements Dijkstra's Algorithm written in the React Native programming language to build a Covid-19 tracking application. The system can display the closest distance with a radius of at least one meter, and the test results can map the nearest radius of 41 meters and the most immediate radius of 147 meters. This system is built for the compatibility of Android OS and iOS applications with React Native programming.

Abstract

Garlic (Allium sativum L.) is one of the kitchen spices with a distinctive aroma and economic value and has the opportunity to be developed because of the many ingredients that are beneficial to health. Garlic can grow in the highlands and lowlands; the altitude is about 200-250 meters above sea level. It was recorded that throughout 2019 in Indonesia, total imports of garlic reached a value of USD 529.9 million or around 465,344 tonnes. The import value is still high enough to allow sustainable agricultural innovation to be carried out independently, because the use of agricultural land is increasingly limited and does not vary, and is also the main problem of sustainable agriculture. Limited land conditions are also one of the factors for decreasing garlic productivity, and the low productivity of garlic is also caused by the application of cultivation techniques that are not suitable for agricultural land conditions and the surrounding climate because garlic is more often planted in upland conditions. This study provides a smart irrigation system management design which is named “Mr. Rytem” which is integrated between sensors in agricultural land and automation by IoT. The design of "Mr. Rytem" provides a solution for garlic farming in lowland conditions by utilizing new renewable energy sources that come from solar energy. The system offers smart irrigation support to farmers in garlic farming, namely effective fogging discharge, the width of fogging discharge, droplet diameter, droplet density. It can be implemented in the future for efficient garlic farming.

Abstract

Medical emergency conditions required patients to be mobilized by ambulance quickly, precisely, and accurately. To save the patient, the ambulance acted as a helper and hope for the patient to survive until the patients reach the hospital. The ambulance has to go through the fastest and closest way to reach the hospital. However, problems arise when road conditions do not support the creation of the fastest and closest ambulance. Due to congested road conditions, it will be possible to delay the ambulance from reaching the hospital or other unwanted events. The road and traffic conditions that can be controlled for the smooth running of the ambulance need special attention. Smart-iMbulance framework modeling allows an ambulance to move quickly and precisely to reach the nearest hospital. This paper provides a transportation model for vehicles, an application model as an embedded program in an ambulance, and a traffic management plan as a solution offered for ambulances on the road.

Abstract

Abstract

Covid-19 has now spread extremely worldwide. World still fighting against Covid-19, as well as vaccination programs. The problem to get one of the existing vaccines, it is required first to carry out a vaccination eligibility screening test, then usually carried out with traditional form method by the healthcare staff. Seeing the development of an expert system that can be used as an alternative for health workers to help reduce the number of Covid-19 suppression so that it does not spread to health workers, because after all, someone who will vaccinate Covid-19 must be in good health, this is related to the pre-vaccination procedure. We proposed the expert system with forward-chaining method. The result is the dataset (rules collection) of an expert system based on a forward-chaining inference machine for administering all Covid-19 vaccines.

Abstract

The use of pesticides is often given under extreme conditions. The excess use of these pesticides can harm both the farmers directly and the affected environment; this is the impact of the uncontrolled use of pesticides. There is a need for a control system to control the distribution of pesticides on agricultural land. This article seeks to provide a control system design for controlling the distribution of pesticides by utilizing photometric technology integrated with the internet of things (IoT). The control system is designed automatically with a sensing system or an operating record. It is expected to be able to disseminate the correct use of pesticides to achieve production efficiency. This study provides a design of an automatic control system for pesticide distribution IoT-based. We use a photometric sensor to control the pesticide distribution. Future work can be implemented for prototype work due to smart farming to control pesticide distribution automatically.

Abstract

Electroplating was the process of coating metal surfaces using the electrochemical method. We used alkaline zinc (Zn2+) plating that was anti-corrosion coating, cheapest, evenly adhesion, as well as better-looking crushing. This study aims to test and measure the thickness of the layer on spark plugs with variations in different electrical currents 300, 400, and 500A and increased hours during the coating process, investigate the corrosion resistance of white rust on the surface and analyze the changes in alkaline zinc concentration and temperature that affect the thickness of the layer, respectively. The results, such as 1st sample 13 pcs, 300A, and thickness of 7.26-micron with white rust 9 pcs. 2nd sample 13 pcs, 400A, and thickness of 9.15-micron white rust 5 pcs. 3rd sample 13 pcs, 500A, and thickness of 12.75-micron white rust 3 pcs. The high electric current (500A) and 45 hours of the experiment would influence the lowest white rust corrosion level. The high alkaline zinc solution with an optimum 36°C solution temperature and 500A electric current would undoubtedly deposit the white rust until 3 pcs.

Abstract

The traditional expert system (TES) in the medical field commonly uses a certainty factor (CF) rule-based algorithm that can be calculated several symptoms to determine the inference solutions. The main issue for this TES included a prediction for some particular disease likelihood in the cases of new patients. CF is calculated based on symptoms related to clinical signs in patients’ diagnoses. For some reason, this TES probably won’t predict uncertain things, such as particular disease likelihood of some diseases. So, supervised learning, such as linear regression, can solve this problem. We tried to analyse the existing TES for thyroid disorders due to modelling the regression equation to predict the thyroid abnormality particular disease likelihood, based on the symptoms’ CF value and its confidence level. We used multiple linear regression (MLR) and multiple polynomial regression (MPR) to analyse the best regression model to solve the problem. The results show that the MPR model indicates the best regression model for predicting particular disease likelihood of thyroid abnormality, supported by R-squared 94.7%, R-squared adjusted 94.4%, F-value 265.925, and p-value < 0.05, which are higher than MLR model. Our study proposed a foundation for expert system development by focusing more on machine learning expert system (MLES) analysis approaches than TES.
