Abstract

Sidokumpul adalah sebuah kelurahan yang berada di wilayah Kecamatan Lamongan, Kabupaten Lamongan. Penduduk Sidokumpul sebagian besar bermatapencaharian sebagai petani dan petambak. Pada musim penghujan lahan tersebut berfungsi sebagai tambak yang dimanfaatkan petani untuk budidaya ikan, sedangkan pada musim kemarau untuk usahatani padi monokultur atau padi dikombinasikan dengan ikan atau udang windu. Untuk mendukung program peningkatan produktivitas usahatani di lahan sawah tambak di Kabupaten Lamongan, perlu dilakukan sosialisasi pembuatan dan penggunaan EM4 kepada petani sawah-tambak yang tergabung dalam Gabungan Kelompok Tani (Gapoktan). Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan mulai dari persiapan kegiatan (survey lokasi, permohonan ijin, pengurusan administrasi, persiapan alat bahan dan akomodasi) pada 13 Juni 2021 hingga pelaksanaan kegiatan (penyuluhan pembuatan dan penggunaan EM4, sesi diskusi/ tanya jawab serta pemberian door prize kepada peserta penyuluhan sebagai bentuk evaluasi tingkat pemahaman peserta terhadap materi yang diberikan) pada 28 Juni 2021 yang bertempat di Sekretariat Gapoktan “Darma Sari” Kelurahan Sidokumpul. Peserta penyuluhan ini adalah anggota Gapoktan “Darma Sari” dan petani yang berdomisili disekitar Kelurahan Sidokumpul, Kabupaten Lamongan. Kegiatan penyuluhan berjalan lancar dan terlaksana dengan baik, para peserta terlihat antusias dan berharap kegiatan serupa dapat dilaksanakan pada waktu yang akan datang dan menjalin kerja sama lebih lanjut untuk pengujian efektivitas penggunaan EM4 di lahan sawah salah satu anggota Gapoktan.

Abstract

Community education and routine use of insecticides are implemented by the government to reduce dengue vectors. Chemical insecticides and larvicides kill mosquitoes faster and optimally, but massive use in the long term will cause resistance effects. Limonoids and flavonoids in Citrus aurantifolia could be substitute temephos in abate. The study aims to enhance community knowledge on homemade biolarvicide from lime leaves and peels (Citrus aurantifolia) powder against dengue vector in Sukoanyar Village, Lamongan. Target of community education is women who are members of PKK in the Sukoanyar Village, Lamongan. The activities consist of educational sessions about dengue vector control, vector resistance, lime (Citrus aurantifolia) as biolarvicide, and distribution of trifold brochure media. Then, cognitive test sessions were conducted in pre-tests and post-tests. Results showed that the community was very enthusiastic about making powdered lime leaves and peels (Citrus aurantifolia) as homemade biolarvicide. Moreover, women in Sukoanyar Village have good knowledge (85,5%) about dengue vector control and biolarvicides then increasing to 90,9% during post-test. It was concluded that community knowledge improved regarding dengue vector control and the use of homemade biolarvicide from powdered lime leaves and peels (Citrus aurantifolia) in tea bags as substitute for abate.

Abstract

Unhealthy housing poses significant risks for children's respiratory health, such as pneumonia. Indoor and outdoor environmental factors can vary between urban and rural areas. Spatial vulnerability mapping is a potential tool for developing an early warning system for policymaking in pneumonia control. The purpose of this study was to determine the spatial vulnerability of unqualified housing factors among childhood pneumonia in both urban and rural areas of Bojonegoro, Indonesia. This study employed a cross-sectional design with spatial analysis to determine the correlation and distribution map of eight housing factors of childhood pneumonia in comparison between urban and rural areas. 60 mothers of under-five children as samples for interview and housing factors assessment. Six (54.5%) and four (28.6%) villages had high prevalence cases in urban and rural areas, respectively. Concentrated in the city center and home industries of Bojonegoro sub-district, then livestock and agriculture area of Sukosewu sub-district. Humidity in urban (P=0.03; PR=16.50) and rural (P=0.04; PR=12.60), lighting in urban (P=0.01; PR=23.00) and rural (P=0.04; PR=12.60), house occupancy density in urban and rural (P=0.04; PR=12.60), and ventilation area in rural (P=0.03; PR=25.00) were correlated to childhood pneumonia. Six urban and four rural villages exhibited a high prevalence of pneumonia cases. Unqualified humidity, lighting, house occupancy density, and ventilation area impact childhood pneumonia. It is recommended to improve natural or mechanical housing ventilation, adjust the total housing occupants, and update national healthy housing standards. The use of spatial analysis effectively identified housing-related risk factors for pneumonia, providing critical insights for developing targeted interventions in Bojonegoro.

Abstract

School is a social interaction system of an entire organization consisting of personal interactions linked together in an organic relationship. It was observed that many of the quality of school buildings and sanitation facilities in Kembangbahu Lamongan Village did not meet environmental health requirements. So it becomes a factor causing disease and even transmission of disease between students or teachers at school. The aim of this research is to analyze the health quality of the school environment and health complaints at Madrasah Al Munawwaroh Kembangbahu Lamongan according to the Republic of Indonesia Minister of Health Decree No. 1429/2006. This research was conducted descriptively about a situation objectively. The population of this study was the total number of Al Munawwaroh Madrasah in Kembangbahu Village, by applying a total sampling technique of 3 school. Data analysis used the School Environmental Health Inspection Form modified from Minister of Health Decree No. 1429/2006 is then calculated using a formula and analyzed and then presented descriptively. The research results show that the majority of schools meet the requirements for location, building construction, building space, room air quality, lighting, ventilation, noise, school sanitation facilities, sports and worship facilities, courtyards and the presence of mosquito larvae

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi keanekaragaman mikroorganisme yang terdapat pada berbagai ekosistem (tanah, air, dan udara) serta menganalisis peran ekologisnya dalam menjaga keseimbangan lingkungan. Studi ini menggunakan metode deskriptif-kuantitatif dengan pengambilan sampel di tiga lokasi berbeda: tanah pertanian organik, danau air tawar, dan area vegetasi alami. Isolasi mikroorganisme dilakukan menggunakan media selektif (Nutrient Agar, Sabouraud Dextrose Agar, dan BG-11 medium) diikuti dengan pengamatan morfologi koloni, uji biokimia, dan identifikasi molekuler berbasis gen 16S rRNA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mikroorganisme dominan yang ditemukan meliputi Bacillus subtilis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Rhizobium sp., Nitrosomonas sp., Actinomyces sp., dan Chlorella vulgaris. Mikroba-mikroba tersebut berperan penting dalam proses dekomposisi bahan organik, siklus biogeokimia (terutama nitrogen dan karbon), serta bioremediasi polutan organik dan anorganik. Analisis kuantitatif menunjukkan bahwa keanekaragaman mikroba tertinggi ditemukan pada ekosistem tanah dengan indeks keanekaragaman Shannon sebesar 3,12, diikuti oleh air (2,74) dan udara (1,89). Hasil studi ini menegaskan bahwa mikroorganisme merupakan komponen kunci dalam menjaga stabilitas ekosistem dan kualitas lingkungan. Temuan ini juga membuka peluang pemanfaatan mikroorganisme dalam bidang bioteknologi lingkungan seperti biofertilizer, bioremediasi, dan bioindikator ekologis.
