Abstract

AbstrakStudi ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya kesulitan Guru SMK dalam menulis artikel ilmiah untuk jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Berdasarkan situasi tersebut, maka sosialisasi artikel ilmiah penting dan perlu diadakan untuk melatih guru mengembangkan keterampilan menulis artikel ilmiah khususnya Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode ceramah dan pelatihan. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa guru mampu menulis artikel ilmiah khususnya PTK dengan baik. Implikasi dari pengabdian ini adalah sebagai acuan para praktisi pendidikan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam menulis artikel ilmiah khususnya untuk Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). AbstractThis study is derived from the fact that Vocational School Teachers still have difficulties in writing scientific article especially the type of Classroom Action Research (CAR). Based on this situation, the socialization about how to write scientific article is important and need to be done. The purpose of this study is to give workshop to the teacher in developing their skills in writing scientific article, especially CAR. The method used was lecture and training method. The result show that teachers are able to write scientific article especially CAR well. The implication of this activity is the improvement of teacher skill in writing scientific article especially CAR.

Abstract

Abstrak. The purpose of this research is to find out the role of teachers in implementing assertive discipline in senior high school students. The implementation of this research is to find information about how the role of teachers in applying assertive discipline in managing the classroom in English learning. Furthermore, this research is a descriptive research and the data were obtained from 2 English teachers in Man 1 Solok Selatan. To collect data, the researcher used observation checklist, and field notes, as instruments in this study. Based on the results of data analysis, the researcher concluded that English teachers who teach in classes X and XI, Man 1 Solok Selatan apply assertive discipline well, as evidenced by the existence of reference indicators about the role of teachers in applying assertive discipline. Teachers who teach English in classes X and XI, have fulfilled 14 sub indicators.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aimed to measure self-directed learning using blended learning in the reading subject in higher education. The researcher employed the descriptive method with a quantitative approach. Self-directed learning was the sole focus of the investigation. In line with Williamson, S. N., five aspects were to measured self-directed learning: awareness, learning strategies, learning activities, evaluation, and interpersonal skills. The researcher acquired data on self-directed learning through a questionnaire. The study's population comprised English students at Universitas PGRI Sumatera Barat during the 2022 academic year, totaling 55 students. Employing purposive sampling, the entire population of 55 students was included in the sample. Upon analyzing the collected data using SPSS 22, the researchers employed the percentage formula to ascertain the students' score distribution. The findings indicated a noteworthy 76% overall score, signifying a high level of self-directed learning. These outcomes suggest that students at Universitas PGRI Sumatra Barat exhibited robust traits of responsibility, persistence, self-control, discipline, and effective learning strategies.
