The learning process has been carried out in the conventional way, this is caused by the teacher's understanding of using multimedia is still not optimal, so the learning method used is still limited. This phenomenon makes the researchers interested in doing this research. The purpose of the study  to determine the effectiveness of multimedia use in improving mastery of cell concepts. this study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the use of interactive multimedia provides a good value of effectiveness in mastering the concept of students cells, compared with learning using conventional media. This is evidenced by the t test on spss obtained value t = 0.00. Based on these results the average value of the gain  experimental class is greater, which is 41, compared to the average value of the gain control class, which is 32. The results of this study is  indicate there are differences in learning by using interactive multimedia and learning with conventional media. The success of this research can be used by educators in supporting the learning process, especially in biology. Keywords: cell, Interactive Multimedia, Mastery of concepts.

Mata pelajaran biologi menekankan pada pemberian pengalaman secara langsung maka sudah semestinya mendudukkan siswa sebagai pusat perhatian utama. Peran utama guru adalah memberikan pengalaman dan memperkaya pengetahuan siswa dengan mengeksplorasi lingkungan dengan proses pembelajaran yang sesuai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri terbimbing dengan multimedia dan lingkungan riil terhadap prestasi belajar biologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen yang dilaksankan pada bulan Januari-Oktober 2010. Sampel penelitian ditentukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling yang terdiri dari dua kelas. Satu kelas eksperimen I dengan multimedia dan satu kelas eksperimen II dengan lingkungan riil. Pengumpulan data prestasi belajar dengan menggunakan teknik pos test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan prestasi belajar siswa dengan model pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri terbimbing dengan multimedia dan lingkungan riil yaitu media dengan lingkungan riil memberikan pengaruh yang lebih baik daripada multimedia terhadap prestasi belajar biologi.

The environmental problem-solving skill is influenced by many factors, including ecological literacy. This study aims to analyze the relationship between ecological literacy and environmental problem-solving skill in the Adiwiyata school of Tangerang City. The research method that used was quantitative descriptive with survey technique. The number of respondents consisted of 245 students of grade 11th Science from three Adiwiyatas' Senior High Schools in Tangerang City. Ecological literacy was measured by using test and questionnare, while the environmental problem-solving skill was measured using an essay test. The results showed that there was a weak positive relationship through the regression model Ŷ = -18,084 + 0,877X. The correlation coefficient obtained was 0.382 and the determination coefficient was 14.6%. The higher score of the ecological literacy, so the students' environmental problem-solving skill will be better. Based on the results of the study, other schools also need to implement Adiwiyata programs in order to ecological literacy and students' environmental problem-solving skills could be better.ABSTRAKKemampuan memecahkan masalah lingkungan dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, termasuk literasi ekologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara literasi ekologi dengan kemampuan memecahkan masalah lingkungan di sekolah Adiwiyata, Kota Tangerang. Metode penelitian yaitu deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik survey. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 245 kelas 11 IPA yang berasal dari 3 sekolah Adiwiyata di Kota Tangerang. Literasi ekologi diukur dengan menggunakan tes dan kuesioner, sementara kemampuan memecahkan masalah lingkungan diukur dengan menggunakan tes essai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan dengan tingkatan yang lemah melalui model regresi Ŷ = -18,084 + 0,877X. Koefisien korelasi yang diperoleh sebesar 0.382 dan koefisien determinasi sebesar 14.6%. Semakin tinggi skor literasi ekologi maka kemampuan memecahkan masalah lingkungan siswa akan semakin baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, sekolah lain perlu mengimplementasikan Program Adiwiyata sebagai upaya agar terbentuk literasi ekologi dan kemampuan memecahkan masalah lingkungan yang lebih baik.Kata kunci: sekolah Adiwiyata, literasi ekologi, lingkungan, kemampuan memecahkan masalah

Students' awareness in conserving medicinal plants and the environment is still the focus of discussion among educators. Especially in students at vocational school levels who do not receive comprehensive Biology learning. The purpose of this study was to measure students' attitudes in conserving medicinal plants and the environment. The research method used is descriptive method with survey techniques. The study was conducted in March-April 2019 at Cipanas State 1 Vocational High School, Cianjur, West Java, Indonesia. The sample used was selected by simple random sampling, obtained as many as 104 students divided into 44 male and 60 female students. The results showed that the average score of students' attitudes was 76.47. The indicator with the highest score is related to the program of planting medicinal plants in the home yard. While the lowest indicators relate to conservation policies for medicinal plants and the environment. This is because the information received by students in terms of conservation policy is still need to be improve. The conclusion of this study is that the scores of student attitudes regarding the conservation of medicinal plants and the environment are good, but in some indicators still need to be improved.DOI: doi.org/10.24071/ijiet.2019.030202

PENILAIAN KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS DAN PENGUASAAN KONSEP PADA MATERI EKOSISTEMAbstractCritical thinking skills and mastery concepts are competencies that measure cognitive aspects. Both of these competencies support each other. This study aims to analyze critical thinking skills and mastery concepts of students in the ecosystem material. This was quantitative research. The sampling technique used Purposive Sampling, namely 60 high school students. Data was collected through the critical thinking skills test and mastery concept of ecosystem tests for students and interviews with the teacher. Based on the analyzed data, the average critical thinking skills and mastery concepts of an ecosystem are 53,15 and 61,10, which are in the low category. This is because students still have difficulty in understanding the basic concepts of ecosystems; students have not understood yet the terms in the ecosystem so that the terms with their meanings are often exchanged which has an impact on the low achievement of students.AbstrakKeterampilan berpikir kritis dan penguasaan konsep adalah kompetensi yang mengukur kemampuan kognitif. Kedua kompetensi tersebut saling berkaitan dan mendukung satu sama lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterampilan berpikir kritis dan penguasaan konsep peserta didik pada materi Ekosistem. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling, yaitu 60 peserta didik SMA. Data diperoleh melalui tes tentang keterampilan berpikir kritis dan penguasaan konsep pada materi Ekosistem yang dikerjakan oleh peserta didik dan wawancara dengan guru. Berdasarkan analisis data, rata-rata keterampilan berpikir kritis dan penguasaan konsep materi Ekosistem peserta didik, masing-masing adalah 53,15 dan 61,10. Hasil tersebut termasuk dalam kaegori rendah. Hal ini disebabkan oleh sulitnya peserta didik dalam memahami konsep dasar Ekosistem, belum mengertinya istilah-istilah dalam ekosistem sehingga sering terjadi pertukaran istilah dengan maknanya yang berdampak pada rendahnya prestasi belajar siswa. The purpose of this study was to analyze how the use of SkelToon animated video learning media in improving students' learning motivation on motion system materials. This research was conducted at SMAN 30 Kab. Tangerang. The method used in this research is a 4D research and development model method consisting of four stages, namely the definition, design, development, and distribution of research design one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects in this study were 21 students who sat in grade XI mipa. The research instrument used in this research is a non-test instrument in the form of a learning motivation questionnaire. The results of media feasibility test by validator showed that animated video media designed in the category is very valid, and in this study statistical test using t-test of paired samples that showed that the significance value obtained in this study was 0.000 which is less than 0.05 , then based on the anal results.

Evaluation activities of biology learning process for learners is teachers’ and education units’ responsibility. An authentic assessment is crucial to be implemented in the learning process so that learners could be guided to have abilities in knowledge as well as attitudes and skills. The research aims in 2019 is to observe 50 biology teachers’ differences in biology teachers’ skills in Bekasi Regency, Indoensia in mastering authentic assessment knowledge in biology learning before and after the implementation of training activities through a Scientific Approach-based Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (Cirsa). Cirsa, a learning developed by integrating a CIRC-based scientific approach, axpected to facilitate teacher learning in accordance with the objectives. The research is a quasi-experiment using one group pretest-posttest design. The research independent variable includes Cirsa learning model, whereas the dependent variable is concept understanding of authentic assessment. The research data are analyzed using descriptive statistics that encompasses teachers’ response on learning and analysis of average pretest and posttest. The research results indicate that there is an influence of Cirsa learning application on the concept mastery of authentic assessments of Biology teachers.
