Abstract

Bali as one of the paradise of the world has a solution that has been run from generation to generation by previous ancestors. The existence of Sekaa Teruna Teruni (STT) is quite a pillar to support the rampant globalization storm that is hitting young people today. Sekaa Teruna Teruni comes from the word sekaa, which means association, organization, while teruna teruni is the Indonesian word for young women. So, Sekaa Teruna Teruni is a collection, container, social organization for the development of young people who grow and develop on the basis of social awareness and responsibility. STT is a Hindu youth communication media which is related to the benefits of public communication in the Sekaa Teruna Teruni organization, the relevance of Sekaa Teruni Teruni to the demands of the current era, the benefits of Sekaa Teruna Teruni in the development of character and culture, and factors that impede the application of communication in Sekaa Teruna Teruni. STT will gain a lot of new experiences, through their organization they will also know how to communicate well with others, learn to work together with others, and most importantly young women can know, understand and deal with different people's characters. Become an agent of change and maintain the cultural traditions around the neighborhood, which is the identity of each banjar, village and the island of Bali.

Abstract

Pengelolaan sampah di Indonesia, tidak sesuai dengan metode dan teknik pengelolaan sampah yang berwawasan lingkungan sehingga menimbulkan dampak negatif bagi kesehatan masyarakat dan lingkungan. Sistem pengelolaan sampah di perkotaan harus dilaksanakan secara tepat dan sistematis. Untuk mengatasi masalah sampah, diperlukan campur tangan atau peran pemerintah. Meningkatnya jumlah penduduk dari tahun ke tahun di Kabupaten Buleleng dengan perubahan gaya hidup masyarakat, maka akan timbul permasalahan yang semakin meningkat yaitu mengenai sampah. Produksi sampah di Kota Singaraja pada tahun 1997 mencapai 240 m3/hari, yang berasal dari 70,8% penduduk, pasar 14,6%, dan dari pohon pinggir jalan 8% (Profil Kota Singaraja, 2010). Target pengurangan sampah menurut Peraturan Bupati Buleleng tahun 2018 target pengurangan sampah hanya 18%, tahun 2019 mencapai 20%, 2020 mencapai 22%, dan tahun 2021 target pengurangan sampah mencapai 24%. Setiap tahun ada peningkatan target pengurangan sampah sebesar 2% per tahun. Pemerintah Kabupaten Buleleng menerbitkan dan menetapkan Peraturan Daerah Nomor 1 Tahun 2013 tentang Pengelolaan Sampah dan Pengelolaan Sampah Plastik telah tertuang dalam Peraturan Gubernur Nomor 97 tentang Pembatasan Sampah Plastik Sekali Pakai (PSP). Adanya regulasi dari pemerintah dan penegak hukum akan mengurangi penggunaan plastik di Kabupaten Buleleng.Kata Kunci: Sampah, Target Pengurangan, Pemerintah

Abstract

The professionalism of the leader is very much needed, considering that his position is very important, so that the leadership spirit should be instilled and developed in managing the organization. The village government is an official government institution whose level is in every village in Indonesia, has the function to carry out the affairs of the interests of the local community in relation to government affairs in the state of Indonesia. Bakbakan village is one of the villages in the Gianyar sub-district, Gianyar district, this village was chosen as the focus of research because one of the village heads in managing the governance of his village by prioritizing Hindu leadership. This research was conducted to make a practical contribution for village leaders who are Hindus to always carry out swadharma (obligations) departing from the teachings of Hinduism. Data collection techniques in this study consisted of observations to research locations, interviews, literature studies, namely determining the concept of Asta Bratha's teachings in the Ramayana book and related literacy. Documentation is looking back at the document notes and photos of the village head who is carrying out his duties in the office and in the midst of the community. The implementation of the asta bratha teachings applied in leadership at the Bakbakan Village Office, Gianyar District, Gianyar Regency by imitating the attributes of gods consisting of: Indra Brata, Yama, Brata, Candra Brata, Surya Brata, Bayu Brata, Kuwera Brata, Baruna Brata , Agni Brata. The eight asta brata leadership are guidelines for bakbakan village heads in carrying out their duties as village leaders who are submissive and obedient to Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia and Bhineka Tunggal Ika. In carrying out his leadership, the Bakbakan village head prioritizes the interests of the community, improves community welfare, minimizes unemployment, improves education, and creates peace in the Bakbakan village environment.Key Word: Implementation, Hindu Leadership, Ramayana, Bakbakan Village Government

Abstract

Di Bali ajaran agama Hindu banyak terdapat dalam lontar, salah satunya adalah Lontar  Candra Bherawa, konsep ajaran yang terdapat didalamnya terkait ajaran catur warna, nilai-nilai ajaran catur warna merupakan empat pembagian profesi masyarakat berdasarkan guna dan karmanya, bukan berdasarkan pada keturunan atau kelas sosialnya di masyarakat, sehingga tidak terjadi kekeliruan mengenai pemahaman ajaran catur warna.   Keempat golongan ini saling berkaitan dan membutuhkan satu dengan yang lainya, sehingga menjadi satu kesatuan yang utuh. Untuk lebih mendalami ajaran catur warna dipilihlah Lontar  Candra Bherawa, karena didalam teks ini terdapat ajaran catur warna.  Dalam mengkaji Lontar  Candra Bherawa mengunakan analisis deskritif kualitatif, dengan menganalisis teks secara objektif serta mendalam sehingga didapatkan makna yang dapat diinterpretasikan terkait ajaran catur warna. Masing-masing pembagian ajaran catur warna memiliki kewajiban pokok. Golongan brahmana mereka yang memiliki keunggulan kemampuan dibidang ilmu pengetahuan weda, golongan ksatrya mereka yang memiliki kemampuan dibidang memimpin pemerintahan, golongan sudra mereka yang memiliki kemampuan dibidang pertanian, dan golongan waisya mereka memiliki kemampuan dibidang melayani. Dengan adanya pembagian catur warna dapat memberikan kedamaian dan kemakmuran bagi masyarakat dan negara, sehingga tujuan mencapai jagadhita dan moksa dapat tercapai.Kata Kunci: Catur Warna, Lontar Candra Bhairawa

Abstract

This research aims to develop an effective English vocabulary module as a learning media for the Applied English for Communication course. The study applied Research and Development (RnD) model using the ADDIE design. The module consists of six topics with relevant vocabulary exercises. Besides, the module was validated by subject matter experts and media experts, who rated it with an average score of 4.7. A questionnaire was also distributed to the students and overall average score of 0.85, indicating high acceptance of the module among the students. Additionally, the effectiveness of the module was assessed through pre-test and post-test evaluations. The researcher also conducted tests for normality, homogeneity, and significance using SPSS version 16. The normality test resulted in values of 0.39 for the pre-test phase and 0.12 for the post-test phase, indicating normal distribution of the data. The homogeneity test yielded a significance value of 0.468, indicating group homogeneity. The significance test showed a value of 0.000, indicating a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores. Thus, it can be concluded that the developed English vocabulary module is an effective learning media for the Applied English for Communication course in the Hindus’ Communication Studies program-STAHN Mpu Kuturan Singaraja.
