Abstract

One of the infectious diseases that is still a public health problem in Indonesia, especially in North Maluku, is Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF). This study aims to model DHF cases in Tobelo City, North Halmahera Regency. The results showed that in Tobelo City there were 103 DHF sufferers and 2 deaths occurred. The method used in this research is binary logistic regression to model DHF cases. Binary logistic regression is a data analysis method used to find the relationship between the binary response variable (y) and the predictor variable (x). In this study, the binary response variable used was DHF sufferers. The predictor variables used were gender, education level and access to health. The results of the analysis using the binary logistic regression method obtained a strong correlation between the response variable y and all the predictor variables x and the coefficient of determination obtained from the model was 52%.

Abstract

Infant Mortality Rate is a reflection of infant survival which will determine the quality of life of human resources. North Maluku Province is an archipelago province with a relatively high infant mortality rate. The still high infant mortality rate in North Maluku is influenced by several factors, apart from the low equity and affordability of health services, socio-economic factors also greatly affect infant and under-five mortality rates. North Halmahera District is one of the highest IMR contributors in North Maluku Province. This study aims to mathematically analyze the infant mortality rate in North Halmahera. The results showed that all predictor variables had an effect on infant mortality. The analysis results found the best model with three point knots with a determination coefficient of 93% and a minimum GCV value of 1.52.

Abstract

Setiap tahun produksi plastik meningkat secara eksponensial, karena kebutuhannya sangat diperlukan oleh manusia. Tapi plastik berbeda dengan limbah yang lain, disebabkan oleh proses penguraiannya. Guna mengurangi populasi limbah plastik, kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di desa Wari Ino menitik beratkan pada sosialisasi masalah limbah plastik dan teknik pengolahan. Adapun hasil kegiatan menunjukan perubahan pengetahuan akan bahaya limbah plastik dan penerapan teknologi tepat guna menggunakan sistem pirolisis mampu menghasilkan BBM (Bahan Bakar Minyak) dari plastik jenis HDPE (High Density Polyethylene). Tapi teknologi tersebut masih bersifat prototipe, dan memerlukan pengembangan sehingga dapat dipakai serta diakui oleh seluruh masyarakat secara luas.

Abstract

Kurangnya pemahaman, dan penguasaan mahasiswa terhadap materi statistika serta pengoperasian software mengakibatkan minimnya penjabaran hasil analisis data. Hal tersebut tergambar pada mahasiswa semester VII dimana penyelesaian laporan Magang Kerja di wajibkan menggunakan persamaan matematika dalam memaparkan hasil magangnya. Maka fokus kegiatan ini, menitik beratkan pada cara menganalisis data menggunakan persamaan regresi sederhana baik secara manual dan penggunaan fitur data analysis yang tersedia pada microsoft excel. Luaran kegiatan dalam rekaman evaluasi, tertera pernyataan mahasiswa sebagai responden menyatakan kegiatan ini memberikan pengetahuan baru terlebih khusus penggunaan fitur data analysis. Meskipun berhasil, kegiatan ini memiliki kekurangan pada alokasi waktu kegiatan sangat terbatas. Maka pada kesempatan lain alokasi waktu menjadi perhatian.

Abstract

Tuberkulosis merupakan salah satu penyebab kematian utama di dunia. Penyakit ini disebabkan oleh bakteri kompleks Mycobacterium tuberculosis yang biasanya menyerang paru-paru. Analisis Cluster adalah teknik statistik untuk mengelompokkan sejumlah besar variabel ke dalam kelompok. Dalam penelitian ini variabel yang digunakan adalah variabel yang dianggap mempengaruhi penyakit Tuberkulosis (TB) di Provinsi Maluku Utara. Provinsi Maluku Utara merupakan salah satu provinsi yang memiliki penyakit TB terbanyak. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Analisis Cluster dengan keseluruhan variabel yang diteliti yaitu Kemiskinan (X1), Jumlah Tenaga Medis (X2), Usia (X3), Jenis Kelamin (X4), Tingkat Partisipasi Sekolah (X5), dan Tenaga Kerja (X6) diperoleh 3 Cluster . Klaster 1 terdiri dari 2 kabupaten yaitu Kabupaten Halmahera Selatan dan Kabupaten Halmahera Utara. Klaster 2 terdiri dari 7 kabupaten yaitu Halmahera Barat, Halmahera Tengah, Kepulauan Sula, Kabupaten Halmahera Timur, Kabupaten Pulau Morotai, Kabupaten Pulau Taliabu dan Kabupaten Tidore Kepulauan. Abstract

Culture advancement as part of a sustainable national development, needs to be supported bydata and information about factual conditions of cultural potential at national, provincial and districtlevel. However, until now there have not been many quantitative studies with subject related to culture.This research was one of efforts made to enrich quantitative studies related to cultural studies, as well asimplemented such knowledges about spatial statistics for cultural data and information. The main methodused in this research was secondary data analysis from various sources related to cultural potential inMaluku Province, which was available down to district level. Some spatial statistic measures used areGlobal Moran index, Local Indicators for Spatial Association (LISA), as well as spatial cross-correlation,which are applied to all variables related to cultural potential in this research. The results of analysisgenerally didn’t show statistically significant of spatial autocorrelation for each of these culturalpotentials. Nonetheless, there were several important results conducted in this research, that would beinteresting to note as basis for formulating cultural development policies in Maluku Province.

Abstract

The integration of technology in the learning process remains a significant challenge, especially in remote areas like SMA Negeri 4 Seram Bagian Timur. Limited infrastructure and low technological literacy among teachers have led to a lack of innovation in delivering learning materials. This activity aims to improve digital literacy and skills in creating technology-based learning media using Canva. The partner in this activity is SMA Negeri 4 Seram Bagian Timur, targeting 28 students and 1 teacher. The implementation of the activity is carried out in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. In the preparation stage, materials and tools are prepared. The implementation involves direct training using a Knowledge Transfer approach and the Community Development Model. The training sessions include an introduction to Canva, a workshop on creating media, and mentoring in the design process. Evaluation is done through pre-tests, post-tests, and response questionnaires. The results showed an average post-test score increase to 84.82 from 63.75 in the pre-test. The N-Gain analysis indicated a 57.82% improvement. Recommendations from this activity include the need for ongoing support for infrastructure and advanced technology training so that the skills gained can be consistently applied in the learning process

Abstract

Indeks Pembangunan Manusia merupakan indeks komposit yang dihitung dari indeks kesehatan, pendidikan dan standar hidup layak. Penelitian ini bertujuan memodelkan faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap Indeks Pembangunan Manusia di Kepulauan Maluku. Pemodelan menggunakan pendekatan Regresi Semiparametrik Spline Truncated Linier untuk melihat faktor-faktor yang signifikan terhadap Indeks Pembangunan Manusia dengan metode interval konfidensi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa semua variabel prediktor berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Indeks Pembangunan Manusia. Model yang terbaik dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan tiga titik knot dengan R-Square 99,97% dan nilai GCV minimum 0,346.

Abstract

North Maluku Province is one of the provinces with many cases of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) in Eastern Indonesia. Various factors cause the increase of DHF such as environment, personal hygiene and inadequate health infrastructure in North Maluku Province The purpose of this research is to group the multivariable of dengue cases into several simpler components using the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) method. The PCA method is a statistical technique for reducing a large number of variables to become simpler. The results showed that 1 variable did not meet the KMO value so that the variable was eliminated. All variables after eliminating one of the variables are tested to meet the KMO and MSA values. All predictors in this study form 1 predictor component variable used are non-labor force population (X1), medical personnel (X2), vulnerable age population (X3), workforce population (X4), villages with health facilities (X5), health facility (X6).

Abstract

Kumo, Kupa-Kupa, Pitu, and Luari beaches are tourist destinations that are always crowded with local and foreign tourists. This becomes interesting, because recently the problem of human population density in an area has become a hot topic for study. Using the polynomial method, it resulted in 6th order with R2 0.950 (Kumo), 0.868 (Kupa-Kupa), 0.799 (Pitu), and 0.399 (Luari) representing the distribution of visits. The highest levels of visits occurred in the twelfth, fifth, fourth, and sixth months, respectively. The analysis by applying the logistics function shows the highest level of visits throughout 2018 which are Kumo 283.95 tourists, Kupa-Kupa 342.12 tourists, Pitu 81.77 tourists and, Luari 1088.35 tourists. Based on the threshold analysis, the threshold value shows 255.56 tourists (Kumo), 297.08 tourists (Kupa-Kupa), 65.58 tourists (Pitu), and 836.42 tourists (Luari). The results of this study inform the level of tourist visits exceeding the threshold value in four tourist destinations. Given that the four tourist destinations carry the concept of ecology as a selling point, the manager needs to reorganize the level of tourist visits. Excess levels of tourist arrivals can have a negative impact on the comfort and sustainability of tourist destinations
