Abstract

This study  was intended to see obstacles in implementing the 2013 curriculum by elementary school teacher 2 Kebumen. This study uses qualitative descriptive assessment methods. The subject of this study is 6 elementary school teachers 2 Kebumen made up of 6 class teachers. Data collection using angers and interviews. Studies show that the obstacles that elementary school teacher 2 Kebumen experienced in implementation of the 2013 that is in the plannin phase, implement phase, and evaluation phase. Obstacles include learning preparation, slection and media lerning making, insight teacher, cross-loading of lessons in thematic learning, and It literacy.

Abstract

AbstractUnderstanding concepts is crucial for elementary school students since it effects the next concept. Communication is the main key in the learning. This study aims to improve students' understanding of science concepts and communication about force by applying the Scientific Reading Based-Project (SRBP) model. The method was classroom action research conducted in two cycles. The research subjects were teachers and fourth grade students of SDN Wironatan. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, tests, and questionnaires. The data validity used triangulation of techniques and triangulation of sources. Data analysis techniques included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results showed that students' understanding of science concepts and communication increased after applying the SRBP model. It concludes that the application of the Scientific Reading Based-Project (SRBP) improves understanding and communication the concept on natural science about force.Keywords: Scientific Reading Based-Project (SRBP) model, understanding concepts, science communication AbstrakPemahaman konsep menjadi hal yang penting untuk dikuasai siswa sekolah dasar dikarenakan konsep yang dikuasai akan mempengauhi penguasaan konsep selanjutnya.Komunikasi menjadi kunci utama dalam berjalannya pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan Komunikasi IPA siswa tentang gaya dengan mengggunakan model Scientific Reading Based-Project (SRBP). Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan dengan dua siklus. Subjek penelitaian adalah guru dan siswa kelas IV SDN Wironatan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, tes, dan angket. Validitas data menggunakan triangulasi teknik dan sumber. Teknik analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemahaman konsep dan komunikasi IPA siswa mengalami peningkatan setelah menggunakan model Scientific Reading Based-Project (SRBP). Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah  penerapan model SRBP dapat meningkatkan komunikasi dan  pemahaman konsep IPA tentang gaya. Kata kunci: model Scientific Reading Based-Project (SRBP), pemahaman konsep, komunikasi IPA
