Abstract

Kecenderungan untuk selalu meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas manajemen berdampak pada peningkatan akses dan pemanfaatan jaringan telekomunikasi. Sistem komunikasi yang dirancang untuk memberikan layanan yang dibutuhkan dituntut untuk selalu meningkatkan kapasitas layanan. Hal itu berkenaan dengan upaya untuk merespons peningkatan jumlah pengguna. Tiga teknik akses jamak (multiple access) merupakan skema layanan yang diharapkan dapat menjawab tantangan itu, yakni FDMA (Frequency Division Multiple Access), TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access), dan CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access). Pengaturan slot frekuensi yang dapat digunakan serentak pada waktu yang sama, pengaturan slot waktu untuk menggunakan frekuensi yang sama pada waktu yang berbeda, serta penggunaan frekuensi yang sama pada waktu yang sama pula, namun dengan kode atau sandi yang berbeda, adalah bentuk ragam layanan akses jamak yang dimaksud

Abstract

Hand-off is the transfer of a call from one cell site to another as the cellular phone moves through the service coverage area. The cell site warns the MTSO that the mobile?s signal strength is falling below a predetermined level. The MTSO then alerts all cell sites bordering on the first one. They measure the mobile?s transmitting signal and report back to the MTSO. The MTSO, which is programmed to select the site receiving the strongest signal, then switches the call from the weak cell to the strongest cell without interrupting the call. The whole process takes a fraction of a second, and the caller usually is unaware of it. Such hand-offs may occur several times during a single conversation as the caller moves through the coverage area

Abstract

The development of automation technology nowadays has allowed humans to do many things remotely, including daily activity such as watering plants. This study combines a mobile robot as a plant sprinkler and a smartphone as a remote control that uses Bluetooth as the connectors. Users can water plants remotely by using an application created with the App Inventor to control the Mobile Robot which is in charge of watering the field. Based on the test results, the sprinkler robot produces a current of 2 A and a voltage of 12 V with the heaviest water load that can be carried is 1 liter. The more water that is carried, the greater the measured voltage and current. The App Inventor application created successfully runs the sprinkler robot with an average delay of 1 second and the farthest distance is 5 m using a bluetooth module.

Abstract

Teknologi 5G membutuhkan antena yang memiliki karakteristik bandwidth yang lebar dan beamwidth yang sempit. Dalam hal ini, antena vivaldi merupakan salah satu jenis antena yang dapat memenuhi kebutuhan untuk pengaplikasian teknologi 5G karena antena vivaldi memiliki lebar bandwidth yang cukup luas dan pola radiasi yang terarah karena beam yang sempit. Penelitian ini mendesain sebuah antena mikrostrip vivaldi yang dirancang dan dianalisis menggunakan software CST Suite Studio 2018 sebagai software simulasi dan direalisasikan atau dipabrikasi menggunakan substrate Rogers RT/Duroid 5880 series double side dengan konstanta dielektrik (ε r) = 2,2 dan ketebalan 1,575 mm untuk frekuensi mmWave. Rancangan desain antena mikrostrip vivaldi pada frekuensi tengah atau frekuensi resonansi di frekuensi 42 GHz yang menghasilkan nilai parameter antena sebagai berikut : spektrum frekuensi kerja antena di frekuensi 40,5 GHz – 43,5 GHz, bandwidth 3 GHz, s-parameter atau return loss -24,137 dB, Voltage Stading Wave Rasio (VSWR) 1,1324, gain 7,94 dBi, dan pola radiasi Linear Unidirectional, dimana hasil tersebut adalah hasil simulasi menggunakan software CST Suite Studio 2018. Pengujian dan implementasi dengan aplikasi Speed Test dengan hasil nilai parameter kecepatan koneksi internet Wifi USB dengan antena sendiri lebih baik dari antena vivaldi yang dipasangkan pada Wifi USB akan tetapi hasil dari penggunaan antena vivaldi yang dipasangkan pada Wifi USB koneksi internet masih dapat terhubung dan digunakan.

Abstract

One of the developments to improve the economy is technology. The development of information technology, especially in the computer sector, has experienced rapid development. Information and communication technology has developed in all fields. One of the efforts to implement in terms of computer expertise requires training and development. One of the most effective things that can be used to develop society is through providing training. The results of the Information and Communication Technology Application training program to improve the quality of skills for residents of Srikamulyan Village, Tirtajaya District, Karawang Regency are in accordance with the objectives of the cooperation (MoU) agreed by both parties. This training went smoothly and all the participants attended and were very enthusiastic about following the material taught in the training

Abstract

ABSTRAK Sebagai bahasa yang digunakan untuk berkomunikasi oleh orang-orang dari penjuru dunia, bahasa Inggris menjadi salah satu bahasa asing yang layak dikuasai oleh tenaga pengajar seperti dosen. Ketika dosen mengajar dalam bahasa Inggris, mahasiswa akan terbantu untuk terbiasa dalam menggunakan bahasa Inggris. Namun, sebelum menggunakan bahasa Inggris sebagai medium instruksi, dosen perlu mengikuti pelatihan yang dapat memberikan arahan untuk mengajarkan materi dalam bahasa Inggris. Sehubungan dengan itu, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini berjudul “Mengajar dalam Bahasa Inggris” dan bertujuan untuk memberikan metode pengajaran mata kuliah dalam bahasa Inggris. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di Fakultas Komunikasi Sastra dan Bahasa Universitas Islam 45 Bekasi dan diikuti oleh 25 dosen dari semua fakultas dan tiga kampus di Bekasi. Kegiatan ini berlangsung selama empat hari dan dilakukan secara blended (daring dan langsung). Metode partisipatif dalam bentuk ceramah, diskusi interaktif dan microteaching digunakan dalam pelatihan ini. Mayoritas para peserta dari kegiatan ini memberikan respons positif. Pelatihan ini merupakan titik tolak bagi kegiatan-kegiatan pelatihan yang dapat memberikan manfaat kepada pengajaran terutama pengajaran dengan menggunakan bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa pengantar.ABSTRACTAs a language which is used to communicate with people from all over the globe, English can be a foreign language that is useful to be mastered by educators such as lecturers. When lecturers teach in English, it can help students to get used to using English. However, before using English as a medium of instruction, lecturers need to attend training that can provide directions for teaching material in English. In this regard, this community service activity is entitled "Teaching in English" and aims to provide a method of teaching courses in English. This activity was conducted at the Faculty of Literature and Language Communication, Islamic University 45 Bekasi and was attended by 25 lecturers from all faculties at the Islamic University 45 Bekasi and campuses in Bekasi. This event lasted for four days and conducted in a blended approach (online and offline). Participative method through lectures, interactive discussions and micro teaching were used in this event. The majority of the participants of this event gave a positive response. This training is a milestone for similar events that can give benefits to teaching especially teaching using English as a medium of instruction.
