Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesalahan-kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal aritmatika sosial berdasarka teori Newman serta faktor penyebab terjadinya kesalahan tersebut. Subjek pada penelitian ini yaitu 33 orang siswa kelas VIII B SMP Negeri 9 Cimahi. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian yaitu hasil tes dan wawancara siswa. Hasil tes tersebut kemudian dianalisis dengan teori Newman. Hasil penelitian ini mendapatkan kesimpulan bahwa siswa melakukan kesalahan dari kelima tipe Newman yaitu (1) kesalahan membaca sebanyak , hal tersebut disebabkan karena siswa tidak membaca keseluruhan soal, (2) kesalahan memahami sebanyak , kesalahan tersebut terjadi karena siswa tidak menuliskan informasi yang terdapat pada soal dan apa yang ditanyakan serta siswa tidak memahami soal yang diberikan, (3) kesalahan transformasi sebanyak , penyebab kesalahan ini terjadi karena siswa salah memilih operasi yang digunakan, (4) kesalahan keterampilan proses sebanyak , kesalahan ini timbul karena siswa kebingungan dalam menentukan rumus lanjutan untuk menentukan, (5) kesalahan penulisan jawaban akhir sebanyak  dan merupakan kesalahan paling tinggi, kesalahan tersebut terjadi karena siswa tidak menuliskan kesimpulan atau jawaban akhir.

Abstract

This study describes the ability of mathematical connections. This study is a qualitative descriptive research with the subject of research as many as 27 students of class IX SMP Negeri 01 Cipongkor West Bandung regency. Subject given a written test in the form of an instrument about the connection consisting of eight items. After that, researchers conducted interviews with selected subjects. From the result of student completion and interview, it is found that the level of mathematical connection ability of junior high school students is still low. This is seen from the mistakes that students do in solving the problem, where students actually already understand the problem quite well as can mention the elements that are known and asked. However, students are less conscientious about how the relationship between the data is known and what is asked. So that students are wrong in choosing the right strategy in the settlement. In addition, this is also influenced by students' lack of understanding in the application of formulas. The errors are caused by several factors, including students are less understanding of the material and students are not able to transform the issues submitted into the knowledge it has.

Abstract

This qualitative descriptive research is where it has the goal to analyze the workmanship of junior high school students' mistakes solving on circle material. The students who attended were 22 concerned about this researcher who became the subject of students of class VIII-SMP Negeri 6 Lembang one of the Lembang District State Junior High School data used in the form of test 5 questions, after the study was described. every question of why students experience errors in the speaker on each problem number in the Circle material. Student error analysis can be done by collecting data, presenterizing data and drawing conclusionsevery question of why students experience errors in the speaker on each problem number in the Circle material. Student error analysis can be done by collecting data, presenterizing data and drawing conclusions.The result of errors in the highest hardening of problem number 5 is 72% while the lowest error result in questions numbers 1 and 4 is 45%. By. The results of the study showed that students' errors in solving problems there are errors, misunderstandings to concepts, misrepresentation in reading contained in the problem, and errors in the optimization of problems Researchers have concluded that it turns out that there are still many students who make mistakes when talking about circle material.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah dapat menelaah kesulitan dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis daftar pustaka menggunakan mendeley dalam karya ilmiah  untuk guru-guru di Kecamatan Pengalengan. Peningkatan profesionalisme guru melalui kegiatan pelatihan penulisan daftar pustaka menggunakan Mendeley sangat diperlukan dalam penulisan karya ilmiah. Dengan adanya kegiatan ini para guru di kecamatan Pengalengan menjadi terbantu dan mendorong mereka dalam meningkatkan kegiatan publikasi ilmiah. Bagi tim pelaksana dari Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika juga dapat menjalankan kegiatan tridharma perguruan tinggi dimana salah satunya adalah melakukan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini.Kata Kunci : karya tulis ilmiah, daftar pustaka, mendeley ABSTRACTThe purpose of this community service activity is to be able to examine the difficulties in improving the bibliography writing skills using Mendeley in scientific work for teachers in Pengalengan District. With this activity, the teachers in the Pengalengan subdistrict were helped and encouraged them to increase their scientific publications. Abstract

The background of this research is that the situation in the field shows that the pythagorean theorem material is an abstract material, complicated, and requires precision in calculating using formulas. The purpose of this study is for learning learning using the PBL model (Problem Based Learning) in the Pythagoras theorem material. The method of this study used the exeriment method with the design of the pretest-posttest group, the subject of this study was class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Campaka Mulya which produced 32 students consisting of 20 males and 12 females. The instruments used are tests and non-tests. Data collection tools are RPP Learning Implementation Plans, Observation Sheets, and Test Sheets. Based on the results of class VIII tests before using the PBL model in pythagoras lotus material obtained an average value of 53. And the results of class VIII tests after using the PBL model on pythagoras teorema material scored an average value of 75. and after the application of the PBL model Based on teacher observation and students in the implementation of mathematical learning in the material of the pyhtagorean theorem can be concluded to run well. 78% and 75% student activities are carried out.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out: (1) The learning activities of students of class XII IIK MAN Kota Cimahi on average inequality material using the Problem Based learning model. (2) Whether the learning outcomes of students of class XII IIK MAN Kota Cimahi average inequality material using  Problem Based Learning can increase. Research is a class action study, this study is conducted in 2 cycles with each cycle consisting of 2 meetings. Before performing class actions are done ¬pre-test  to students, then carried out cycle I and cycle II activities using the Problem Based Learning model. Based on the results of this study shows an increase in student learning outcomes seen from the completion of student learning outcomes. In cycle I there was an increase of 44% then in cycle II there was an increase of 69% in learning outcomes more than 7. This shows that the improvement of student learning outcomes of class XII IIK MAN Kota Cimahi can be improved through the Problem Based Learning model.

Abstract

This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which aims to improve student learning outcomes after using the discovery learning model. The subjects of this class action research were 22 students of class VII. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation, documentation and also using test questions. The increase in student learning outcomes will be seen based on the value of students in working on individual questions that will be given before and after the delivery of the material. Based on the results of the study, it showed that a) In the initial conditions, the students' test results were 13.64% with an average score of 26.55. b) In the first cycle, student learning outcomes increased to 36.36% with an average value of 55.77 c) Student learning outcomes in the second cycle increased to 72.73% with an average score of 73.14 d) Most of the students' learning outcomes have met the KKM. From the results of this study it can be concluded that there is an increase in student learning outcomes using the discovery learning model.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the mathematical problem solving ability of SMP class VIII students in solving story problems on the material of a two-variable linear equation system (SPLDV). This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects in this study were 20 grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Haurwangi. The data collection technique used a test technique in the form of descriptive questions, totaling 4 questions and each question representing each indicator of mathematical problem solving ability. The instrument used in this research is in the form of a test of mathematical problem solving ability on the material of linear equations of two variables. Based on the results of the study, the results of the mathematical problem solving ability of students who had low mathematical problem solving abilities were 8 students (40%), the category of moderate mathematical problem solving ability was 7 students (35%) and the category of high mathematical problem solving ability was 5 students (25 %). It can be concluded that the mathematical solving ability of SMP class VIII students in solving story problems on the material of linear equations of two variables is still relatively low.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of students to understand basic concepts and students' interest in learning mathematics. The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes through the use of Problem-Based Learning in class X mathematics subjects. The research method used was qualitative and quantitative data analysis, with the research subjects of all 34 students of class X. Based on the processing and results of data analysis, the application of the Problem-Based Learning model in mathematics learning has increased after the actions of cycle I, II, and cycle III were held. Student learning outcomes in the first cycle have an average grade of 73.5%, student learning outcomes in the second cycle have slightly increased, namely the average grade of 81.4% and classical absorption of 73.5%, then proceed to the cycle III and experienced an even better improvement, with an average grade of 83.5% and classical absorption of 88.2%. The conclusion of this research is that learning mathematics using Problem-Based Learning can improve the learning outcomes of class X students at SMA Karya Pembangunan Cicalengka.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was will explain students' mistake when working on math problem on the lesson of flat-sided geometry material at SMP Negeri 8 Cimahi Class VIII, namely 27 people. Used qualitative research with descriptive method. How to collect data, namely test instruments and interview with seven description question. The results of the student's response test for question number five were 29.63%, for question number seven it was 37.04%, and for question number three it was 40.74% still very low. Research conducted by students is difficult when working on these question. Explanation of data and assessment of students made part type of errors, is: (1) students' difficulties in understanding concept; (2) difficulty understanding question or not being careful when understanding question so that students' response are incomplete; (3) difficulty in understanding mathematics theory or the prerequisites of the Pythagorean theorem; (4) lack of accuracy when working on the calculation phase. This proves that class VIII students are very low when working on the problem of building a flat side room.
