Abstract

Cell phones are a phenomenon of the most interest since the end of the last century. A phenomenon that began in the 1990s and develops until now. Cellular phones now have an Operating System that is able to manage and control all applications, there are various operating systems such as Symbian, Windows Mobile, Palm, Blackberry and Android which are new today. Thus the authors are interested in creating an android application that makes it easy for people to seek treatment at a health clinic. The system created is a system that makes it easier for people to see the queue number so that people who are going for treatment do not have to wait too long at the clinic. In designing this class the research methodology used is data collection. The data collection method consisted of literature study and experiment. Android-Based Patient Registration Application at Cordelia Pharmacy and General Practitioner Practices Jl. RE. Martadinata Tanjungpinang is implemented based on a needs analysis using Android applications, PHP and Java programming languages, PHP MySql as a database.

Abstract

Background: HIV is a disease that has a very broad impact on a person's life, one of the most common problems experienced is the low quality of life. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of social support on quality of life among people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWH) during pandemic. Method:This research was a cross sectional study, involved 133 respondents that took part in the survey. The social support was measured by (MSPSS), while the quality of life was measured by (WHOQoL-HIV-BREF). Results: The social support effected on quality of life with (p = 0.000 < = 0.05). Multiple logistic regression analysis showed that sosial support was the dominant variable that affected the quality of life in people living with HIV/AIDS with OR=22,413. Discussion: From this study that social support played an important role in a person's quality of life. Participation in the foundation made them showed an optimistic attitude and had a positive acceptance of the conditions they experience, so that they were relatively able to overcome difficulties. Conclusion: The social support effected on quality of life, and respondents who have high social support have a 22.413 times higher tendency to have a good quality of life compared to respondents who have moderate and low social support.

Abstract

Maximal strength is one of the important components for judo athletes. Maximal strength helps athletes perform throwing techniques well when competing. Therefore, the right method is needed to increase the athlete's maximal strength. This study aims to examine the effect of complex training methods on the maximal strength of judo athletes, where complex training methods have been shown to provide positive benefits for various components of athletes' physical conditions. An experimental method using a one-group pretest-posttest design was used in this study. The treatment in the form of a training program using the complex training method for eight weeks was given to 20 Indonesian judo athletes. Maximal strength tests using squats and bench press were carried out before and after treatment. Data analysis was carried out using the t-test. This study provides results that show that the complex training method has been proven to be able to significantly increase the maximal strength of judo athletes. In addition, the results also show that there is a difference in the percentage of increase between male and female athletes. This study concludes that the complex training method can be used as one method to increase the maximal strength of judo athletes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of leg press and leg extension training on long passing ability in Citra Pratama U-15 football athletes. The research method used is an experiment with a two-group pretest-posttest design. The research sample consisted of 20 athletes divided into two groups, each receiving leg press or leg extension training for six weeks. The instrument used was the Barrow Long Distance Kick Test to measure long passing ability before and after treatment. Data analysis was carried out using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Levene’s homogeneity test, paired t-test, and independent t-test with a significance level of 5%. The results showed: (1) Leg press training had a significant effect on increasing long passing (sig. 0.000), with an average increase of 32%. (2) Leg extension training also had a significant effect on long passing (sig. 0.000), with an average increase of 37%. (3) There was a significant difference in effect between the two exercises (sig. 0.007), where leg extension training provided a greater increase than leg press. In conclusion, both types of training are effective in improving long passing ability, but leg extension is superior in providing increased distance and shooting accuracy in U-15 football athletes.

Abstract

Strength is very important for achieving optimal performance in sports, serving to develop other biomotor components. A lack of maximum strength will have an impact on the decline of biomotor components and increase the risk. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an effect of the combination of hypertrophy-neural training and neural training methods on the increase in maximum leg muscle strength in Muay Thai athletes. This study employed an experimental method with a quantitative approach, using a two-group pre-test post-test design. It involved 30 Muay Thai athletes at Ares Fighting Camp, and the sample selection used total sampling. The treatment consisted of 18 sessions at the beginning and end of the sample period, with a Leg Dynamometer test administered to determine the components of leg muscle strength in the sample. After the data was obtained, the Mann-Whitney hypothesis test yielded a statistical Sig value (2-tailed) of 0.360, which was greater than the probability value of 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that there was no difference in the effect of the combination of neural hypertrophy training and neural training methods on increasing the maximum leg muscle strength of Muay Thai athletes. It is recommended that coaches and athletes increase maximum leg muscle strength using the neural hypertrophy combination training method because it targets the desired physiological adaptation by combining two training phases: the hypertrophy phase to increase muscle volume/strength and the neural phase to increase nerve activation efficiency and compact the body so that strength can be increased while adding muscle volume.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the effect of motivational self-talk on the anxiety level of short-distance and middle-distance runners. Anxiety, as experienced by the players, particularly before competitions, can have a negative influence on their performance. Motivational self-talk is a psychological intervention technique used to enhance concentration, build self-confidence, and reduce competitive anxiety. The design of the study utilized in this case was a one-group pretest-posttest quasi-experimental study. The sample consisted of 29 athletes from Sekolah Atletik Pajajaran Bandung, who were short-distance and middle-distance runners. Anxiety was quantified using the Sport Anxiety Scale-2 (SAS-2). Treatment was a motivational self-talk training package that was presented in 12 sessions and included the skills of countering, reframing, and affirming. Paired sample t-test of the data showed that motivational self-talk reduced the anxiety level of short-distance (p < 0.05) and middle-distance runners (p < 0.05). The results of the independent sample t-test showed no significant difference between the two groups (p > 0.05), which meant that motivational self-talk affected both of them equally. The study concludes that motivational self-talk reduces anxiety in short- and middle-distance runners and is recommended to be included in general athlete training programs.
