Abstract

Low complete basic immunization coverage is still a very difficult problem to deal with. Government programs in an effort to improve the degree of children's health that is before the child is one-year-old basic immunization should be given in full according to his age. In this condition, the immune system is expected to work optimally with the effect caused to a minimum. This devotion aims to increase public knowledge about complete basic immunization so that basic immunization coverage can increase. The methods used are lectures and discussions. The implementation in Kapasa Public Health Center with the number of participants as many as 30 mothers. From the results of the extension, there is an increase in the knowledge and understanding of mothers so that it is expected that this training activity can be carried out in all the work areas of Public Health Center with government support.

Abstract

Dermatitis adalah peradangan kulit yang ditandai oleh rasa gatal, dapat berupa penebalan/bintil kemerahan, multipel mengelompok atau tersebar, kadang bersisik, berair dan lainnya. Penyakit ini bisa menjadi salah satu penyakit akibat kerja. Nelayan atau petani rumput laut merupakan pekerjaan berisiko terkena penyakit ini. Pekerjaan ini merupakan pekerjaan Sebagian masyarakat kampung nelayan di kelurahan Pundata Baji Kecamatan Labakkang. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini yaitu melakukan penyuluhan sebagai bentuk dari pendidikan kesehatan, agar upaya preventif bisa dilakukan secara dini dengan sebaik-baiknya. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian didapatkan hasil uji Wilcoxon Rank Test terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan yang signifikan sebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan p value 0,002 < 0,05 dapat disimpulkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat Kampung Nelayan di Kelurahan Pundata Baji tentang penyakit dermatitis. Indikator ini menjadi tolak ukur dalam keberhasilan penyuluhan.

Abstract

Acute respiratory tract infection) is the most commonly reported disease to the health service. The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates the incidence of Acute Respiratory Infections (ISPA) in developing countries with a mortality rate of toddlers above 40 per 1000 live births is 15%-20% per year in the toddler age group. According to who ± 13 million children under five die each year and most of those deaths are in developing countries ISPA is one of the leading causes of death killing ± 4 million children under five each year. The purpose of The Devotion is to increase public knowledge about ISPA prevention. The method used is socialization by holding counseling. The implementation of this Service at The Makassar City Cotton Health Center with the number of participants as many as 34 mothers. From the results of the extension, there is an increase in public knowledge about the prevention of ISPA so it is expected that this training activity can be carried out throughout the health center work area with government support.

Abstract

Infeksi Saluran Pernafasan Akut (ISPA) merupakan penyakit yang paling sering dilaporkan ke pelayanan kesehatan. Organisasi Kesehatan Dunia (WHO) memperkirakan kejadian Infeksi Saluran Pernafasan Akut (ISPA) di negara berkembang dengan angka kematian balita di atas 40 per 1000 kelahiran hidup adalah 15%-20% per tahun pada kelompok usia balita. Menurut siapa ± 13 juta anak balita meninggal setiap tahun dan sebagian besar kematian tersebut berada di negara berkembang ISPA merupakan salah satu penyebab utama kematian membunuh ± 4 juta anak balita setiap tahun. Tujuan dari The Devotion adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang pencegahan ISPA. Abstract

Most pairs of childbearing age do not want to use long-term contraceptive methods such as the IUD. One of the causes is the mother's lack of knowledge regarding IUD contraceptive methods. Health counseling is a process that runs and blends with all aspects of Family Planning services and not just information that is provided and discussed on one occasion, namely at the time of service delivery. The purpose is to find out the influence of counseling about IUD on the knowledge of mothers at the Bantaeng Regency City Health Center. The method of using the research design used is the Cross-Sectional method. The research was conducted in November 2021 at the City Health Center. The population in this study were all acceptors of Family Planning. The sample in this study was acceptors who came to the Family Planning Poly of the City Health Center as many as 33 people using the Acchidental Sampling technique. The results showed that of the 33 respondents used as a sample, before being given health counseling, 10 people (30.3%) were well informed about IUD contraception and 23 people were less knowledgeable (69.7%). After being given well-informed counseling about IUD contraception as many as 27 people (81.8%) and those with less knowledge as many as 6 people (18.2%). Conclusion: counseling methods affect the mother's knowledge of IUD with p-value 0,002 <0,005. Suggestion: It is hoped that midwives who are in charge of the birth control poly section will further improve their performance and attention to acceptors who want to use contraception by actively providing counseling to acceptors so that it is hoped that the coverage of IUD KB acceptors can be achieved according to the target.  Keywords: Acceptor, Counseling Methods, IUD, Knowledge

Abstract

In the current digital era, the Mendeley application has become one of the popular and useful tools for organizing, storing, and sharing references and research sources. However, despite Mendeley's wide recognition, not all midwifery students are aware of its full potential. Some students may lack sufficient understanding of Mendeley's features or may not be familiar with using the application in an academic context. As a result, they may not be able to fully utilize Mendeley to enhance the efficiency and quality of their scientific writing. The methods used in this training were lectures and discussions. The Community Service activity was conducted in March 2023, specifically at the Graha Edukasi Makassar STIKES campus. The participants consisted of 30 midwifery students. The results of the activity after providing training on the Mendeley application showed that the majority of the students (97%) demonstrated an increased level of knowledge regarding the Mendeley application. Mendeley can improve the knowledge level of the students, which is expected to have a positive implication for STIKES Graha Edukasi Makassar in enhancing the quality of education in the field of midwifery. Through Mendeley application training, this institution can support midwifery students in developing relevant digital skills and information literacy aligned with the needs of the times. Therefore, it is expected that this training can serve as a foundation for the development of broader training activities in the field of information technology and communication

Abstract

­Environmental sanitation is a formidable challenge for Maccini Baji Fisherman's Village, Pundata Baji Village, Pangkajene and Islands Regency because it is located on the coast with waterlogged conditions under the house. Community service was carried out in the form of environmental sanitation counseling with the aim of knowing the effect of environmental sanitation counseling on the knowledge of the community of Maccini Baji Fisherman Village, Pundata Baji Village, Pangkajene and Islands Regency in 2022. The method used, namely lectures and discussions with a one group pretest - posttest design using sheet media come back. The results of the data analysis showed that the average value of public knowledge before being given health counseling was 47.89 and after health counseling, the average value of community knowledge increased to 61.68. So that there is a difference in public knowledge before and after the extension. From the results of the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, the p-value is 0.003 < 0.05, then Ho is rejected, which means that there is an effect of environmental sanitation counseling to the community in the Fisherman's Village, Pundata Baji Village, Pangkajene Regency. Islands in 2022. Therefore, improving environmental sanitation is very important to minimize the health impacts caused as an effort to improve the health status of the community.
