Abstract

Aceh's National Narcotics Agency announced that the number of drug addicts in Aceh Province reached 83 thousand people. Various efforts have been made to treat these patients, one of which is by psychotherapy of reading surah Yasin as carried out by the Aceh Mental Hospital. This study wants to examine the application and impact of psychotherapy by reading Surah Yasin as one of the methods of recovering from the effects felt by drug victim patients at the Aceh Mental Hospital after consuming illegal drugs. This research is a qualitative research by using a descriptive approach. Data were collected by observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results showed that the application of the psychotherapy of the recitation of Surah Yasin to drug patients was carried out every Friday night after the completion of the Maghrib prayers congregation. This activity was carried out in congregations with the guidance of the addiction counselor. The therapy program for the reading of Surah Yasin was also accompanied by several other religious programs, such as tahsin and tausiyah implemented by the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Banda Aceh City. The impact felt by patients from psychotherapy is to bring out calm, tranquillity and comfort. In addition, psychotherapy also encourages the emergence of a sense of surrender of patients to God, feeling the aura of a good environment, reminding them of their late parents, a desire to pray, feeling more grateful, and remembering the purpose of life. Badan Narkotika Nasional provinsi Aceh mengumumkan angka pecandu atau penyalahgunaan narkoba di Aceh mencapai 83 ribu orang. Berbagai upaya telah dilakukan untuk menangani pasien tersebut, salah satunya dengan psikoterapi pembacaan Surah Yasin sebagaimana dilakukan Rumah Sakit Jiwa Aceh. Penelitian ini ingin mengkaji penerapan dan dampak dari psikoterapi pembacaan Surah Yasin sebagai salah satu metode pemulihan dari efek yang dirasakan pasien korban narkoba di Rumah Sakit Jiwa Aceh setelah mengkonsumsi obat-obatan terlarang. Penelitian ini berbentuk kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan psikoterapi pembacaan Surah Yasin pada pasien narkoba dilaksanakan pada setiap malam Jumat setelah selesai melaksanakan salat Maghrib berjamaah. Pembacaan Surah Yasin dilakukan berjamaah dengan dibimbing oleh konselor adiksi. Program terapi ini juga dibarengi dengan program keagamaan lain, seperti tahsin dan tausiyah yang dilaksanakan oleh Kementerian Agama Kota Banda Aceh. Dampak yang dirasakan pasien dari psikoterapi tersebut ialah memunculkan ketenangan, ketentraman dan kenyamanan. Di samping itu, psikoterapi juga mendorong munculnya rasa berserah diri pasien kepada Allah, merasakan aura lingkungan yang baik, mengingatkan mereka kepada mendiang kedua orang tua, muncul keinginan untuk berdoa, merasa lebih bersyukur, dan ingat akan tujuan hidup.

Abstract

One of the branches contested in the Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur'an (MTQ) is qira'at sab'ah. The existence of these religious festival activities aims to broadcast the values of the Koran in people's lives so as to create generations who develop the qira`at of the Koran. However, in the qira`at sab'ah competition in Aceh, only the practice of reading was applied, not the knowledge of the science. This can be seen from the lack of mastery of the participants who took part in the qira`at sab'ah branch. This problem raises the question of how the teaching of qira`at science exists at LPTQ Aceh and the understanding of the theory of qira`at science for MTQ participants in the qira`at sab'ah branch. This research is a field study, and data is collected from interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings of this study indicate that teaching the science of qira'at is irregular, occurring only when the competition period approaches. Meanwhile, the level of understanding of qira`at sab'ah theory among MTQ participants in Aceh can be grouped into three categories: first, groups that understand the theories of qira`at science. Second, there is the group that does not understand the theories of qira`at science. Third, the group that does not understand the theories of qira'at science, but all participants are able to practice the reading taught by the teacher.Abstrak: Qira’at sab’ah merupakan salah satu cabang yang diperlombakan dalam Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ). Adanya kegiatan festival keagamaan tersebut bertujuan untuk mensyiarkan nilai-nilai Al-Qur’an dalam kehidupan masyarakat, sehingga dapat menciptakan generasi-generasi yang mengembangkan qira`at Al-Qur’an. Akan tetapi, pada perlombaan qira`at sab’ah di Aceh, hanya diterapkan praktik bacaannya, bukan pengetahuan terhadap ilmunya. Hal ini terlihat dari minimnya penguasaan peserta yang mengikuti cabang qira`at sab’ah. Permasalahan ini menimbulkan pertanyaan bagaimana eksistensi pengajaran ilmu qira`at pada LPTQ Aceh dan pemahaman tentang teori ilmu qira`at bagi peserta MTQ cabang qira`at sab’ah. Penelitian ini merupakan kajian lapangan dan data dikumpulkan dari hasil wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa eksistensi pengajaran ilmu qira’at bersifat tidak reguler, dilakukan hanya ketika mendekati masa perlombaan. Sedangkan tingkat pemahaman teori qira`at sab’ah pada peserta MTQ di Aceh dapat dikelompokkan menjadi tiga kategori, pertama, kelompok yang paham teori-teori ilmu qira`at. Kedua, kelompok yang kurang paham teori-teori ilmu qira`at. Ketiga, kelompok yang tidak paham teori-teori ilmu qira`at, akan tetapi semua peserta mampu mempraktikkan bacaan yang diajarkan oleh guru.

Abstract

This paper is a study of the typology of hadith that functions as the bayān (elucidation) of Qur’anic verses and its implications for the reform of Islamic inheritance law. The use of hadith as the bayān of the Qur’an is a common practice of ulema (Muslim scholars) in producing fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) law. However, certain uses of hadith as the bayān of the Qur’an have also been criticized by scholars. This study is a literature review on hadith viewed as the bayān of the Qur’an, with the primary focus on Islamic inheritance law. Data were collected by means of examining certain hadith used as the bayān of the Qur’an by mufassir (exegete) and fuqaha (Islamic jurists) in carrying out legal istinbath (decision making), especially in cases of inheritance. This study concerns with the studies of the typologies of hadith functioning as the bayān of the Qur’an and their problems that have not been conducted optimally. These studies indicated that certain hadiths used as the bayān of the Qur’an still posed an issue from a methodological point of view. This present study seeks to address three important issues of concern. First, there are three typologies of hadith as the bayān of the Qur’an, namely 1) hadith stated directly by the Prophet as an explanation or a practice of certain verses, 2) hadith stated by the companions of the Prophet as the bayān of a verse, and 3) hadith with no instruction from the Prophet nor indication from the companions as explanations for certain verses, but used as the bayān of certain verses by Islamic jurists. Second, each typology has methodological problems in terms of the context, incompleteness, and hadith occurrence, and the methodological problem has worsened in the last typology. Third, the use of hadith in the third typology as the bayān of the Qur’an in legal istinbath has provided an opportunity for Islamic jurists to renew the Islamic law in the field of inheritance by taking into account the methodological aspect.

Abstract

This article describes the implementation of religious moderation at the State Islamic Religious University (Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam Negeri/PTKIN) Aceh. Religious moderation has become a strong discourse and policy in the Ministry of Religion, including PTKIN as part of the Ministry of Religion. This article attempts to describe two aspects of religious moderation. The first, describes the formulation of the religious moderation policy at PTKIN Aceh. Second, discusses the implementation of the religious moderation policy. The research was conducted in four locations, namely: UIN Ar-Raniry, IAIN Lhokseumawe, IAIN Takengon, and STAIN Meulaboh with a descriptive qualitative approach. The results showed that the formulation of a religious moderation policy had the power of having been well prepared, but there was still a long time span between one policy and the next so that PTKIN experienced problems in its implementation.  The implementation budget is charged to each institution. Second, the implementation of the policy of religious moderation has begun at PTKIN Aceh. In general, the Religious Moderation House has been established even though it is late and has not been active due to various obstacles. However, the socialization of the narrative has been running even though it is not carried out by the Religious Moderation House. Seminars, workshops, public lectures, and scheduled study forums are forms of socializing the narrative of religious moderation. The obstacles faced are more related to the financing of activities that are increasingly difficult due to the refocusing of the budget that has been in several stages.
