Abstract

Pelabuhan Sorong merupakan Pelabuhan yang terletak di Kota Sorong Provinsi Papua Barat yang dikelola oleh PT. Pelindo IV. Dalam melaksanakan kegiatan operasionalnya Pelabuhan Sorong harus mematuhi regulasi tentang ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security) Code yang berlaku sejak 01 Juli 2004 dan merupakan regulasi international yang dikeluarkan oleh IMO (International Maritime Organization. Dalam menjalankan tugasnya PT. Pelindo IV menghadapi beberapa permasalahan yang terjadi salah satunya faktor keamanan, pada penelitian ini mencoba memecahkan permasalahan keamanan yang terjadi di Pelabuhan Kota Sorong khususnya pada terminal penumpang dengan pendekatan kuantitatif menggunakan metode Analisa SWOT dengan memetakan variabel faktor kekuatan, kelemahan, Peluang dan ancaman ke dalam dua faktor yaitu Internal (IFAS) dan Eksternal (EFAS) dengan menghitung bobot dan rating suatu variabel faktor berdasarkan kuesioner dari responden dan mencari strategi terbaik dalam menghadapi permasalahan yang terjadi berdasarkan nilai dari variabel faktor tersebut. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa strategi penyelesaian permasalahan keamanan pada Pelabuhan sorong yang dijabarkan ke dalam empat strategi dengan persentase tertinggi sebagai strategi yang harus yang lebih utama dilaksanakan. Data keempat strategi tersebut yaitu Strategi ST (109%), Startegi SO (105%), Startegi WO (103%) dan Strategi WT (97%).

Abstract

Container Terminal Kendari New Port, located in Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi Province, is known to be one of the gateways for international logistics flow with adequate facilities and systems implemented where one of its activities is loading and unloading of containers supported by a reasonably large pier measuring 300 square meters. Even though it is equipped and supported by adequate infrastructure, it is not uncommon for customers to feel that the system and infrastructure provided are unsatisfactory. For this reason, in this study, satisfaction indicators are in the form of price (X1) and facilities (X2), and all of these variables have several indicators to determine customer satisfaction with the infrastructure offered using the PCA method. The PCA method is advantageous when the existing data has a large number of variables and has a correlation between the variables. In general, the principal component can be helpful for feature selection and interpretation of variables. The results of this study indicate that there is one variable that has an eigenvalue more significant than one, which indicates that this variable has a cumulative proportion of 58.278%, which means that 1 factor can absorb information in the data of 58.278% where the variable is Price (X1).

Abstract

Shipping is a source of income that entrepreneurs increasingly demand because of the public's high use of this service, both for traveling and sending and transporting goods. Shipping companies offer their services domestically and cooperate with foreign shipping companies to increase revenue. In addition to increasing revenue, this business can increase the quality of cooperation between countries, which can be seen from transportation capacity and cost efficiency because more fleets will be provided, and infrastructure will be adequate because it consists of more than one country. Even though the shipping system cooperates with other countries and has an international standard, this does not necessarily satisfy the public with the service in the form of transportation capacity and fees charged. Not infrequently, many people complain that the costs incurred are quite high, but the implemented system is not following what most people expect. To see the quality of cooperation between countries (Y), this research will look at the transportation capacity factor (X1) and also cost efficiency (X2) using the discriminant analysis method. Discriminant analysis is a statistical method used to categorize an object into two or more groups based on the independent variable (X) used. The results obtained in this study show that the majority of people are satisfied with the existence of an international shipping alliance that is equal to 78%, with only cost efficiency (X2) being the main factor affecting customer satisfaction with the resulting classification accuracy rate of 71% and good models by 61%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan penggunaan Radio Detection and Ranging (RADAR) dalam meningkatkan keselamatan navigasi di alur pelayaran sempit serta mengatasi kendala terkait. Faktor seperti kegagalan fungsi RADAR dalam mendeteksi benda di atas permukaan air menunjukkan pentingnya perawatan dan optimalisasi teknologi ini. Kendala lain termasuk kurangnya kesadaran dan keterampilan manusia dalam manuver kapal, serta faktor eksternal seperti kondisi cuaca buruk dan masuknya kapal ke alur pelayaran sempit. Penelitian menggunakan metodologi kualitatif dengan investigasi dilakukan di KMP Virgo 18 antara Oktober 2021 hingga September 2022. Teknik akuisisi data termasuk tinjauan literatur, wawancara, dan observasi. Hasil menyoroti strategi untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pengguna RADAR melalui pelatihan reguler, pemeliharaan rutin RADAR, dan kesiapsiagaan dalam menghadapi situasi darurat. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah pentingnya pemahaman mendalam terhadap kendala RADAR dan keterampilan manusia dalam navigasi kapal. Rekomendasi strategis dapat membantu industri maritim mengembangkan kebijakan yang lebih aman. Dengan demikian, peningkatan keselamatan berlayar dapat dicapai melalui optimalisasi teknologi RADAR dan pemahaman yang lebih baik terhadap tantangan navigasi di alur pelayaran sempit.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran safety officer dalam meningkatkan keselamatan kerja di atas kapal KM. Sirimau. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa safety officer memiliki tanggung jawab penting dalam mengawasi penggunaan APD, memberikan pelatihan keselamatan, serta memastikan pelaksanaan prosedur keselamatan kerja. Namun, pelaksanaan tugas tersebut belum berjalan optimal akibat rendahnya kesadaran kru, terbatasnya pelatihan teknis, dan lemahnya koordinasi lintas departemen. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peran safety officer dapat dioptimalkan melalui peningkatan dukungan manajemen, pelibatan aktif dalam perencanaan operasional, serta penguatan budaya keselamatan kerja yang partisipatif dan berkelanjutan.
