Abstract

In this study, qualitative research was the chosen research approach. In this study, documentation, interviews, and observations were used as data collection methods. Through observation and data triangulation, the validity of the data is checked. Techniques for data analysis were applied in stages, beginning with reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The findings of this study suggest that pupils' motivation for learning is at its highest level. This is evident when learning takes place because the teacher can make students excited about the lesson. Therefore, to overcome students who lack interest in subjects, among others, the teacher tells the story of the Prophet so that students feel motivated to learn cultural history, then intersperses it with humor so that students do not feel bored and excited when learning. The teacher also gives appreciation to students when there are students who get the highest scores in the class.

Abstract

Peningkatan kualitas pendidikan bergantung pada keberadaan elemen penting seperti fasilitas dan infrastruktur pendidikan, yang mencakup laboratorium. Simulator jembatan adalah laboratorium penting yang digunakan untuk tujuan pelatihan kelautan. Inisiatif pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa Sekolah Vokasi Pelayaran mengenai peralatan navigasi yang digunakan di kapal, melalui pemanfaatan simulator jembatan. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yaitu dengan pendekatan participatory learning and action (PLA). Temuan penilaian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan secara statistik dalam pemahaman siswa setelah pelaksanaan intervensi penyuluhan (0.00<0.05). Sebelum kegiatan, hampir 83% siswa mencapai nilai di bawah 70. Namun, setelah kegiatan tersebut, semua siswa atau 100% siswa mencapai atau melampaui nilai 70. Singkatnya, inisiatif pengabdian masyarakat ini secara efektif meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang peralatan navigasi yang digunakan di kapal dengan menggunakan simulator anjungan. Para peneliti dan pelaksana pengabdian masyarakat berikutnya yang ingin melakukan upaya serupa dapat mempertahankan upaya mereka melalui penyediaan skenario praktek yang terjadi di atas kapal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan penggunaan Radio Detection and Ranging (RADAR) dalam meningkatkan keselamatan navigasi di alur pelayaran sempit serta mengatasi kendala terkait. Faktor seperti kegagalan fungsi RADAR dalam mendeteksi benda di atas permukaan air menunjukkan pentingnya perawatan dan optimalisasi teknologi ini. Kendala lain termasuk kurangnya kesadaran dan keterampilan manusia dalam manuver kapal, serta faktor eksternal seperti kondisi cuaca buruk dan masuknya kapal ke alur pelayaran sempit. Penelitian menggunakan metodologi kualitatif dengan investigasi dilakukan di KMP Virgo 18 antara Oktober 2021 hingga September 2022. Teknik akuisisi data termasuk tinjauan literatur, wawancara, dan observasi. Hasil menyoroti strategi untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pengguna RADAR melalui pelatihan reguler, pemeliharaan rutin RADAR, dan kesiapsiagaan dalam menghadapi situasi darurat. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah pentingnya pemahaman mendalam terhadap kendala RADAR dan keterampilan manusia dalam navigasi kapal. Rekomendasi strategis dapat membantu industri maritim mengembangkan kebijakan yang lebih aman. Dengan demikian, peningkatan keselamatan berlayar dapat dicapai melalui optimalisasi teknologi RADAR dan pemahaman yang lebih baik terhadap tantangan navigasi di alur pelayaran sempit.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis proses persiapan dan pelaksanaan lifting operation pada kapal supply vessel SV. Marvela 18 dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Observasi langsung selama lebih dari satu tahun dan wawancara mendalam dengan kru kapal dilakukan untuk memahami prosedur operasional, penggunaan alat pelindung diri (APD), pemeriksaan berkala alat bantu angkat, dan koordinasi personel. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan operasi bergantung pada kelayakan peralatan serta kompetensi personel seperti supervisor, rigger, signalman, dan operator crane. Penilaian risiko dan penerapan langkah pengendalian, seperti Analisis Keselamatan Kerja (JSA) dan Lifting Operation Plan, terbukti penting untuk mengurangi risiko kecelakaan. Koordinasi yang baik, inspeksi rutin, dan kepatuhan terhadap prosedur keselamatan menjadi kunci untuk memastikan operasi berlangsung aman dan efisien. Penelitian ini menegaskan perlunya kombinasi peralatan yang memadai, pelatihan berkelanjutan, dan kepatuhan pada standar keselamatan dalam lifting operation di kapal supply vessel.

Abstract

The problem of waste is the subject of discussion from time to time, waste that is not managed properly has a negative impact on the environment. There needs to be a waste management system so that waste problems can be suppressed and overcome, the most effective method of overcoming waste is burning but the results of burning will cause pollution that can pollute the air and can affect the environment. In an effort to overcome the problem of environmentally friendly waste, the Sorong of Merchant Marine Polytechnic designed a waste handling system through the Design of Environmentally-Friendly and Hybrid smokeless incinerators whose work system uses smokeless combustion using “hybrid power” sources, solar cell and power plant company. This research uses qualitative methods referring to previous research. The Incinerator working system is to process waste in an environmentally friendly process using the automatic combustion method to turn waste into residue through several levels of filtering in the “incinerator chamber”. The combustion of waste will also cause smoke and gas which will be flowed by the "blower" then suppressed and eliminated using the "smoke and gas remover" system by isolating it in a room with a spray and sprinkle device that is driven by high-pressure water power from the "water pump". There are two filtration systems in this incinerator system, first "gas filtration" which is used to capture and trap harmful gases, second water filtration is used to filter waste water (aerosols) from the smoke and gas remover process, clean water filtering results will be accommodated and recirculated to the "smoke and gas remover" using a "water pump". The "Hybrid power" source in this tool is used to drive the "conveyor", "automatic waste door", "automatic lighter", "blower" and "water pump".

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the inaportnet system that affects ship services at PT Kartika Samudra Adijaya at Samarinda Port. The method used in this study is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data analysis is a qualitative approach to primary data through observation, documentation and secondary data in statutory studies, books or literature related to vehicle loading systems on board. Based on research on the preparation of ship arrival, during the ship's arrival in the port area, preparation for ship departure, and when the ship departs, It can be concluded that the new inaportnet system was only implemented in October 2022. In adjusting to the new system, several obstacles are still found, such as the lack of guidance of KSOP officers in using the new system and the lack of socialisation from the city authorities to service users (agents). The efforts include holding regular training sessions on the flow of the internet system for officers and service users.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran safety officer dalam meningkatkan keselamatan kerja di atas kapal KM. Sirimau. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa safety officer memiliki tanggung jawab penting dalam mengawasi penggunaan APD, memberikan pelatihan keselamatan, serta memastikan pelaksanaan prosedur keselamatan kerja. Namun, pelaksanaan tugas tersebut belum berjalan optimal akibat rendahnya kesadaran kru, terbatasnya pelatihan teknis, dan lemahnya koordinasi lintas departemen. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peran safety officer dapat dioptimalkan melalui peningkatan dukungan manajemen, pelibatan aktif dalam perencanaan operasional, serta penguatan budaya keselamatan kerja yang partisipatif dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Digitalization of education is a logical consequence of developments over time, a response to educational services that are experiencing changes in both the learning system and learning culture. Developments in the field of education are closely related to the term innovation. Innovation in the realm of education is an obligation for all educational actors. Moreover, the development of science and technology is growing rapidly. The parenting pattern that has been implemented in most vocational schools within the Ministry of Transportation is still more of a manual system that cannot be connected directly to digitalization. The aim of the process of developing digitalization of parenting patterns is expected to increase efficiency and optimization in many ways, including efficiency and optimization of parenting activities, connectivity between institutions or units involved in parenting, access to data related to parenting patterns, personal data of cadets and caregivers, as well as ease of use. information in accessing rules relating to parenting patterns. The research method used is a mixed type of research. Mixed research is the use of two types of research, namely qualitative and quantitative in one study. The research location is planned to be carried out at a vocational school under the Ministry of Transportation (Poltekpel Sorong). This research then produced an online-based digitalization development desktop software and was then named the see cadet application website. This development and research uses the ADDIE Development Model, namely the analysis stage, design stage, development stage, implementation stage and evaluation stage.
