Abstract

The aim of this research was to find out description of the existence of PT. Bumi Madu toward workforce absorption in Negeri Besar sub district of Way Kanan district in 2011. The research objects were the origin of workforce, employee recruitment system, workforce absorption, employee’s working hours, and waging system. This was a descriptive research. Data were collected using observation, documentation, and structured interview. Data were analyzed using percentage table analysis. PT. Bumi Madu Mandiri The results showed that: 1) 80% employees working in PT. Bumi Madu Mandiri came from Negeri Besar sub district; 2) workforce recruitment system was conducted by giving new occupational positions for internal employees in the company; 3) workforce absorption was 200 labors and only 1.4% workforce in Negeri Besar sub district was absorbed by this company; 4) each employee averagely had 40 working hours weekly; and 5) the labor salary was approximately Rp. 800,000 to Rp. 1,000,000 per month.   Penelitian ini bertujuan menggambarkan keberadaan PT. Bumi Madu Mandiri terhadap serapan tenaga kerja di Kecamatan Negeri Besar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif, sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data yang  digunakan yaitu observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara terstruktur serta teknik analisa data yang digunakan adalah analisis tabel persentase . Objek  penelitian ini adalah PT. Bumi Madu Mandiri. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan: 1).  80 % karyawan yang bekerja berasal dari Kecamatan Negeri Besar, 2). Sistem penerimaan tenaga kerja dilakukan dengan cara memberikan posisi yang baru kepada karyawan dari dalam perusahaan, 3) Jumlah serapan tenaga kerja yang bekerja 200 orang karyawan dan 1,4 % dari jumlah usia angkatan kerja yang baru dapat diserap, 4). Rata-rata karyawan memiliki 40 jam/minggu curahan jam kerja, dan 5). Gaji atau upah karyawan yang diterima berkisar Rp. 800.000,- –  Rp. 1.000.000,- per bulan.Kata kunci: pt.bumi madu mandiri, serapan, tenaga kerja.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze social communication in resolving conflict over customary land disputes of the Kajang Ammatoa tribe. The approach used is a qualitative descriptive approach. Retrieval of data used through (in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation). Retrieval of research informants using purposive sampling. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman analysis method with data reduction, data collection, data presentation, and conclusion drawing steps. The results of this study indicate that the analysis of communication in the resolution of the Kajang Ammatoa customary land dispute conflict wants mediation according to customary law to resolve issues with PT. PP London Sumatra which is considered to have seized the land of the indigenous people of the Kajang tribe. PT. PP London Sumatra still adheres to the HGU granted by the government and considers that conflicts that occur should be carried out by law.
