Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the utilization of PDAMfrom Way Abungs spring by the villagers of Purajaya and Purawiwitan villages, West Lampung regency. The research focused on water utilization and its problems. The research used descriptive method. Population of the research was 712 households with 10 % sample (71 households ) from the population using proportional random sampling.Data were collected by observation, interview, and documentation. Data were analyzed by using tabulation of frequency and percentage. The results of research were: (1)PDAM was used to cook, wash and take a bath, toilet and fish pond. (2)villager tend to use water over the utilization waters standard,(3) The problems of villagers in using PDAM are: (a) the water tended to turbid in rainy season, (b) there were worms coming from the water flow during the rain, (c) not all respondents knew about the rate increase of PDAM and how to use a water meter.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji pemanfaatan air PDAM dari sumber mata air Way Abung oleh Penduduk Desa Purajaya dan Desa Purawiwitan Kabupaten Lampung Barat. Fokus penelitian pada pemanfaatan air dan permasalahannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Populasi penelitian sebanyak 712 KK dengan sampel 10 % (71 KK) menggunakan teknikproporsional random sampling. Pengumpulan data melalui teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan tabulasi frekuensi dan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) air PDAM dimanfaatkan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan memasak, MCK, dan kolam ikan, (2) Penduduk cenderung mengkonsumsi air melebihi standar, (3) Masalah yang dialami penduduk dalam memanfaatkan air adalah (a) air keruh ketika musim hujan, (b) terdapat cacing yang terbawa aliran air saat hujan, (c) responden belum seluruhnya mengetahui kenaikan tarif PDAM dan penggunaan water meter.Kata kunci:kebutuhan domestik, PDAM, pemanfaatan air

Abstract

The home industry of the residents of Jatidatar village, Bandar Mataram District, Central Lampung Regency, which was built last yearThe business field is making processed cassava chips. Cassava chips are a widely used food ingredient found in Bandar Mataram Regency. One of the preparations that is popular with the public is cassava chips. In Jati Datar village has a cassava chips manufacturing factory which is still traditional both in terms of harvesting,product processing and marketing. However, in this KKS program that will be our focus Carrying this theme is training and assistance in making cassava chips (seblak cassava) in the marketing sector.The aim of the service activity is to find out the criteria for good cassava as a food ingredient, to know the procedures for making cassava chips (seblak cassava).The method used by researchers in assisting cassava chips (Seblak Cassava) is the result of processing cassava products.This product uses methods in Participatory Action Research (PAR). This method was carried out directly with the NU Women's Farmers' Group (KWT) in Jatidatar Village and the companions also actively followed and practiced this method with the NU Women's Farmers' Group (KWT) in Jatidatar Village. The results obtained from this activity increase the partners' knowledge and skills in processing cassava into cassava seblak Cassava chips products.The benefit of making cassava chips is to increase people's creativity in processing cassava. Previously cassava was only processed into cassava and sold, but now it can be processed into seblak cassava or what is usually called spicy chips through ideas from the community.
