Abstract

Fungsi dilakukannya kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah sebagai wadah berbagi informasi tentang tentang pemanfaat bahan limbah cocopeat atau yang disebut dengan serbuk serabut kelapa sebagai bahan tambahan material dalam campuran beton struktur lantai tempat wudhu mushola Al-arsyad yang awal mulanya limbah yang tidak termanfaatkan. Manfaat dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah menambah pengetahuan masyarakat terutama kepada kontraktor dan konsultan konstruksi bahwa penambahan serbuk serabut kelapak atau cocopeat sebagai material tambahan alternatif beton ringan untuk konstruksi di atas tanah lunak dapat digunakan dengan prosedur yang baik dan benar, karena karakteristik bahan cocopeat ini memiliki daya resap air yang cukup tinggi dan ketika bahan cocopeat ini sudah ditambahan kedalam campuran beton dengan komposisi 10%-20% maka beton yang sudah ditambahkan cocopeat tersebut akan lebih ringan dibanding dengan beton normal pada umumnya.

Abstract

The number of people utilizing the city market facility is likely to increase day by day. It causes  the market conditions to become congested. Therefore, it cannot be denied that  the  existing main roads are definetly affected by this condition. For this reason, the performance of the roads needs to be further reviewed since they are openly accessed by the community also due tothe influence of Teratai Market activities. A descriptive method is used in this studyby surveying the conditions of the Komyos Sudarso road. The calculation  is carried out based on the Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (MKJI) 1997. The results of this study shows that the activities of the Teratai Market greatly affect road capacity resulting in the increased of traffic volume. When the market operates, the trafficbecomes denser as  such a large number of vehicles are commuting on the road. The observation area is included in a commercial area with high roadside activity as evidenced by a side friction survey which shows a high side friction class count with a weighted frequency of 508.3. The results of the road performance show that Jalan Komyos Sudarso is still not saturated, in which the DS value is 0.34 and the average speed of light vehicles is 42 km/hour.

Abstract

Sungai Mahap is used by the people of Nanga Mahap Village, Nanga Mahap District, Sekadau Regency for daily needs such as cooking, transportation and even consumption as drinking water. Utilization is done by the community because this area has not been flooded with clean water facilities. The quality and status of the Mahap River water quality standard needs to be further examined to study the feasibility of water as an air source used by the community regarding the importance of increasing plantation activities upstream. This research uses descriptive method using quantitative. Air sampling was conducted using a sample survey method with proposed parameters namely BOD, COD, pH, DO, TSS and NH3. Water quality testing is based on Government Regulation No. 82 of 2001 and determines the status of water quality using the STORET method and the pollution index based on the Decree of the Minister of Environment No.115 of 2003. In this study, the river pollution load was also calculated. The results show that the composition of BOD, COD, and Fe has exceeded the specified quality standards. The water quality status of the Mahap River is classified as moderate to severe based on the STORET method and Pollution Index. The highest river pollution load occurs at point II, in the dry season at 104.725 kg/day and in the rainy season at 171.873 kg/day

Abstract

Perintis Kemerdekaan road is a connecting road for people who will use the Bridge of Kapuas and  Landak. The government has realized the addition of a new bridge construction as a duplicate which is located right next to the Landak Bridge. The Landak II Bridge was completed in April 2019 and has been operating in August 2019. People still cannot feel comfortable in using traffic. The construction of the Landak II parallel bridge has not solved the problem of increasing the volume of vehicles in Pontianak. Because of these transportation problems, the researchers tried to analyze the performance of the Perintis Kemerdekaan road. The purposes of this researches are (1) to determine the changes in the performance of the road section used for traffic flow on the Perintis Kemerdekaan road in 2022 after the operation of the Landak II Bridge. (2) Provide an overview of the recommendations for handling impacts that are carried out to overcome road performance problems. The research method used is descriptive and quantitative methods. The results showed that the level of service for the Perintis Kemerdekaan road after the Landak II bridge was built was at level E where the current was unstable and the speed sometimes stopped.

Abstract

Used plastic bottles are one of the wastes whose amount always increases every year, therefore an alternative use is needed, namely as a biofilter media. Biofilter is a biological treatment technology that utilizes microorganisms in treating wastewater. In a biofilter, media is needed as a place for bacteria to attach. Materials that can be used as biofilter media have certain criteria such as high intensity, high cavity volume fraction, large surface area, hydrophilic nature and so on. In order to reduce the negative impact of used plastic bottle waste, various types of technology for the use of plastic bottles were developed, including the use of plastic bottles as biofilter media. According to research conducted by (Putra & Karnaningroem, 2016) proving that used plastic bottles of probiotic drinks can reduce COD 73.24%-80.53%. The advantages of the biofilter process are the high efficiency of removing COD, BOD, and suspended solids, easy management, low operating costs, and relatively little sludge production compared to the activated sludge process (Said, Application of Bio-Ball for Biofilter Media Case Study Processing). According to (Salas, 2016) Biofiltration is a processing activity in which absorption, oxidation and filtration of pollutants occur due to the activity of certain microorganisms in the biofilm. Biofilm is a biological slime layer that contains microorganisms (aerobic, anaerobic, facultative bacteria, fungi, and protozoa) that have the ability to degrade pollutants in wastewater. (Chaudhary, Vigneswaran, & H, 2003) Several criteria that can be met in determining the biofilter media according to (Said, Application of Bioball Filter Media, Case Study of Washing Wastewater Treatment, Jean, 2005) are materials that can be used as biofilter media having certain criteria such as inertia. high volume fraction, high cavity volume fraction, large surface area, hydrophilic nature, and so on are found in used plastic bottles so it is expected that used plastic bottles can be used as biofilter media and have high COD and BOD removal capabilities.)

Abstract

Tayan River is a tributary of the Kapuas watershed, which is located in Tayan Hilir District, Sanggau Regency, West Kalimantan. The wide-type watershed has tributaries that concentrate radially to a point so that large floods often occur at the meeting point of the tributaries. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research on peak discharge analysis in the Tayan River watershed using the Synthetic Unit Hydrograph (HSS) Snyder approach. This research was conducted to determine the magnitude of the peak discharge in the Tayan River. The results showed the magnitude of the planned flood discharge using the Snyder method on the Tayan River in the periods of 2, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, respectively, namely 221,608 m3/s, 311,221 m3/s, 363.441 m3/s, 435,545 m3/s, 489,568 m3/s and 543,747 m3/s..
