Abstract

Metode memahami ajaran islam adalah suatu pemikiran baru dalam pembaharuan islam yang hasilkan oleh Prof. Dr. H. Abdul Mukti Ali, dengan cara pemahaman islam yang menggunakan pendekatan scientific-cum-doctrinaire. Pendekatan ini bertujuan untuk mengkolaborasikan antara normative dengan empirs, antara tekstual dengan kontekstual. Mukti Ali merupakan seorang intelektual muslim yang menguasai betul tentang agama islam terkhusus pada disiplin ilmu perbandingan agama. Beliau lahir di desa balun sudagaran cepu tanggal 23 agustus 1923, nama kecil beliau biasa di sapa soedjono (sujono), sedangkan nama Abdul Mukti Ali beliau di beri Oleh K.H. Abdul Hamid pasuruan beliau ini merupakan gurunya. Mukti Ali banyak menempuh Pendidikan baik dari dalam negeri maupun diluar negeri, sehingga menghasilkan keahlian pada bidang ilmu perbandingan agama, dengan itu ia dipercayakan untuk menjadi Menteri agama pada masa orde baru tahun 1971-1978. Selama menjabat sebagi Menteri agama, beliau banyak memperkenalkan pemikirannya yang sangat popular dalam memahi ajaran islam dengan menggunakan pendekatan scientific-cum-doctrinaire. Pemikiran ini lahir atas dasar pemahaman agama di Indonesia tidak stabil bisa dianggap lemah.

Abstract

This paper is a literature study using a qualitative descriptive approach that aims to describe al-Ghazali's ideas in reconciling Shari'a and Sufism. This study found that although al-Ghazali did not believe in Rasa (Dzawq), it did not cause him to doubt as a tool in reaching the truth. The basis for analyzing and understanding religious matters, while the concept of Ma'rifat which is the hallmark of al-Ghazali is a development of concepts that have existed before. In his efforts to reconcile Shari'ah and Sufism, al-Ghazali was able to explain the close relationship between Shari'ah and Sufism, but behind that, al-Ghazali was not yet fully able to place the two on the same level. This can be seen from the stratification – lay and concerned – for Muslims who do good deeds, so that they are unconsciously trapped in the tendency of Sufi superiority.

Abstract

This article discusses Bediuzzaman Said Nursi's thoughts on da'wah, emphasizing Risale-i Nur as the foundation of the da'wah movement and the development of a modern Islamic community. This study uses a literature review method, analyzing various primary and secondary literature related to Nursi's works and the socio-political context of Turkey at that time. The results of the study show that Nursi's thoughts contain four main concepts: Murasalah as a form of tabligh to spread the Risale-i Nur; Ustadhiyyah al-Qur'an as the basis for change (taghyir) towards spiritual and social transformation; al-Shahs al-Ma'nawi as a form of takwin al-ummah in strengthening solidarity and amar ma'ruf nahi munkar; and al-Fana' fi al-Ikhwan as a principle of brotherhood in realizing khairiyyah al-ummah. These concepts emphasize that Nursi's da'wah does not only focus on ritual aspects, but also on building a community with noble character that is progressive and responsive to the challenges of modernity. Thus, Said Nursi's thoughts are relevant to be used as a paradigm for contemporary da'wah in building an Islamic civilization based on the Qur'an, Sunnah, and communitarian values.

Abstract

This research examines the relationship between religion and culture in Indonesian society, focusing on the processes of dialectics and inculturation that enrich both elements and shape social identity. Using a qualitative approach and literature review, the study traces how religion, particularly Islam, integrates with local culture in various traditions such as Ngurisang in Sasak and Rebo Wekasan in Banjarnegara. The analysis, based on Clifford Geertz’s cultural theory, Pierre Bourdieu’s Habitus, and Emile Durkheim’s social solidarity, demonstrates that religion is not only a doctrine but also an ethical foundation and a symbol of culture that strengthens social bonds and collective identity. The research findings reveal that the inculturation of religion into local culture creates social harmony, contributes to religious moderation, and prevents identity conflicts. The study recommends an inclusive approach and cross-cultural dialogue to strengthen social cohesion in Indonesia’s pluralistic society.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the social life of adolescents in Bima from the perspective of Ibn Miskawaih and its relevance to the concept of Maja Labo Dahu . With the increase in negative behavior among adolescents, such as delinquency, fighting, and drug abuse, this study focuses on how moral values can be applied to improve the social life of adolescents in Bima. This study uses Literature Study research based on the Indonesian translation of the work by Hidayat Helmi " philosophy of morals, first principles, towards moral perfection". To strengthen this research, the researcher uses content analysis from various sources, including books, journals, and relevant articles. After conducting the research, the researcher produces that the social life of adolescents in Bima can be improved through the application of moral values taught by Ibn Miskawaih, which emphasizes the control of reason, lust, and anger, as well as the concept of Maja Labo Dahu which teaches shame and fear of mistakes. These two concepts complement each other in forming good adolescent character. This study concludes that continuous moral education in the family, school, and community environments is very important to shape positive adolescent behavior. Thus, the application of the values of these two concepts is expected to direct adolescent social interactions in a better and more responsible direction.
