Abstract

Coffee is one of the easily found commodities, especially in Indonesia. In tropical climates, coffee is easy to grow and thrive. Coffee is very easy to grow in the highlands. The need for coffee is increasing with large consumer demand. One of the villages in Banyuwangi that grow coffee is Bayu Village Songgon Subdistrict. Coffee farmers do planting, watering, fertilizing, and manually produce pests in Bayu Village. According to the survey’s findings, the fertilization process affects the coffee fruit produced on Bayu village plantations. Innovations in the Biopori-Sludge fertilization system were carried out based on these problems. This system uses infiltration holes as a way of fertilizer and water so that they can be absorbed properly by the roots. Fertilizers are used in the form of organic fertilizers derived from livestock waste belonging to residents. Biopori pit making uses a soil drilling machine designed to make it easier for farmers. The sleek design of this machine facilitates its portability from one location to another. The existence of this machine and system can help the process of planting and fertilizing coffee in Bayu Village. The existence of this activity has an impact on the implementation of sustainable eco-farming so that coffee cultivation carried out in Bayu Village is more environmentally friendly and economical.

Abstract

Wongsorejo village have amount of agricultural and livestock potential. Livestock sector were able to produce cow waste product that can be used as a source of organic fertilizer. The survey results in agriculture potential, showed that the farmers of Wongsorejo Village were trying to switch to organic fertilizers and want to become an independent village of fertilizers. So the purpose of this PKM activity were the utilization of cow waste product into BOKASHI fertilizer as a source of organic fertilizer. This activity were divided into five stages, which were survey, socialization, training on making bokashi fertilizer, training on the mixer machine application and mentoring. PKM activities have a positive impact on the people of Wongsorejo Village, the community were able to produce fertilizer independently, the community gets a mixer machine for product efficiency and the community has a network and work organization in order to increase the fertilizer production.

Abstract

Indonesia was known as a mega-biodiversity country, one of it were identified as high biodiversity of orchids. One of the very popular orchids is the moon orchid (Phalaenopsis). The phenotypic character of various Phalaenopsis orchids, both species and hybrids, is important to be studied. The purpose of this research was to determine the phenotypic variation in hybrid moon orchids. There are fifteen hybrid orchids that have identified both in flower morphology and labellum. The results showed that there were differences in several qualitative characters: the shape of the sepals, the arrangement of the petals, the shape of the tip of the sepals, the shape of the tip of the petals, the shape of the side pieces and the cuvature of the side pieces. In Phalaenopsis hybrids also found differences in the size of the tentacles position in the labellum. Phalaenopsis has a very wide variety of colors and patterns. Phalaenopsis with the dominant purple flower color found at PH 06, the dominant flower color is pink at PH 01 and PH 09, the dominant flower color is yellow at PH 13 and PH 14, the dominant flower color is white at PH 02, PH 07 and PH 10. PH 03 , PH 04, PH 05, PH 08, PH 12 PH 14, and PH 15 have an even color dominance. As for the color of the labellum itself, the majority of colors and patterns that dominate the labellum are purple, pink, yellow and white.

Abstract

Sebanyak 60% sampah yang terbuang di TPA adalah sampah organik, dimana pengelolaan yang buruk dapat menimbulkan banyak masalah. Oleh karena itu perlu suatu langkah memanfaatkan limbah tersebut sebagai produk yang bermanfaat dan mempunyai nilai guna seperti eco-enzyme.  Eco-enzyme merupakan fermentasi limbah organik seperti ampas buah dan sayuran, gula dan air yang mengandung berbagai nutrisi penting untuk tanaman seperti N, P, K, dan C-organik. Bentuk eco-enzyme yang berupa cairan membuat aplikasinya sebagai pupuk cair lebih praktis. Pembuatan eco-enzyme sebagai pupuk cair sangat berpeluang untuk dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengetahui kombinasi bahan ecoenzim yang menghasilkan nutrisi tinggi sebagai pupuk cair. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan RAL 4 perlakuan (sayur + manggis; sayur + jeruk); sayur + buah naga; sayur) dengan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan kombinasi bahan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap semua parameter pengamatan. Perlakuan sayur + jeruk (P2) memberikan hasil nutrisi terbaik secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

Greenhouse merupakan rangkaian ruang yang mengkondisikan keadaan di suatu tempat sesuai dengan keadaan alam terkontrol yang diinginkan untuk mengembangkan tumbuhan dan mesterilkan dari keadaan tidak stabil. Sensor DHT 11 merupakan sensor yang dapat diinstalasikan pada mini greenhouse untuk mendukung smart farming yang lebih terkontrol khususnya untuk parameter suhu dan kelembapan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengembangkan mini greenhouse dengan sistem control suhu dan kelembapan udara dengan Sensor Modul DHT 11. Manfaat yang diperoleh dari pembuatan greenhouse pengendalian suhu dan kelembaban pada greenhouse yaitu diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keberhasilan untuk perbanyakan bibit tanaman yang diinginkan. Hasil dari pengujian didapatkan tingkat error dan akurasi sensor suhu dan kelembapan udara DHT 11 beragam. Sensor suhu memiliki rerata error sebesar 0,023 atau 2,3% dengan tingkat rerata akurasi sebesar 97,73%. Sensor kelembapan udara memiliki rerata error sebesar 0,17 atau setara dengan 17% dan rerata akurasi sebesar 87,73%. Ada beberapa factor yang mempengaruhi error dan akurasi dari pembacaan sensor untuk mini greenhouse meliputi kondisi sensor, kondisi lingkungan yaitu adanya panas, sirkulasi udara berupa angin, dan pelindung pada sensor.
