Abstract

The novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 continues causing viral respiratory illness, known as Coronavirus Disease-2019 (COVID-19). COVID-19 is considered as the biggest global pandemic disease in 2020 and its antiviral therapies are still lacking worldwide. Current studies are still trying to find potential therapies of the disease, including from natural compounds. Therefore, it is important to acknowledge what the most effective herbs’ compounds can be used against the virus. Jamu is traditional medicine from herbs in Indonesia that possesses some medicinal properties. This research was done to find and explore the potential of Indonesian jamus as novel COVID-19 treatment. 283 bioactive compounds from Indonesian jamus were screened with ADMET (Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, Excretion, and Toxicity) predictions and Lipinski’s Rule of Five parameters using ProTox-II and SwissADME. The 12 screened compounds then continued to be tested through molecular docking against SARS-CoV-2 Main Protease (Mpro) using AutoDock Vina. The result of our study showed that Curcuminol D has the lowest binding free energy of -6.9 kcal/mol and Ki (inhibition constant) of 2.99 µM compared to the other screened compounds. However, none of the screened compounds has lower binding free energy than the positive controls’, which valued -8.2 kcal/mol (Lopinavir) and -7.8 kcal/mol (Ritonavir). Despite their unfulfilled parameters, the other 271 compounds might have higher potential than the standard drugs. Therefore, the finding in the present study can be used as a starting point in the drug discovery process from natural compounds for treating COVID-19.

Abstract

Pembiayaan hemodialisis pada pasien penyakit ginjal kronik menjadi beban ekonomi. Berdasarkan hasil studi tahun 2021 pasien yang menjalani hemodialisis pada tahun 2020-2021 di RSU PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul berjumlah 172 orang. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui biaya medis langsung pada pasien penyakit ginjal kronik dengan hemodialisis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah observasional deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data retrospektif. Pasien yang diambil adalah pasien penyakit ginjal kronik dengan hemodialisis bulan Juni 2022 yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Data yang dikumpulkan meliputi karakteristik pasien, data pengobatan, data laboratorium dari rekam medik. Biaya perspektif rumah sakit dari biaya medis langsung yang diperoleh dari dari bagian ’keuangan. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian diperoleh 93 sampel pasien penyakit ginjal kronik dengan hemodialisis yang melakukan rawat jalan. Terdapat 7 pasien yang mendapatkan obat, diantaranya furosemide, irbesartan, asam folat dan vipiron. Biaya pada pasien ginjal kronik di RSU PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul meliputi biaya pendaftaran Rp 11.000, biaya laboratorium Rp 72.000, dan biaya hemodialisis Rp 1.177.000. Terdapat 7 pasien yang menggunakan obat dengan rata-rata total biaya sebesar Rp1.396.484, sedangkan 86 pasien tanpa menggunakan obat dengan rata-rata total biaya sebesar Rp 1.260.000. Kesimpulan biaya medis langsung pada pasien penyakit ginjal kronik dengan hemodialisis di RSU PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul bulan Juni 2022 yang menggunakan obat adalah sebesar Rp 1.396.484, sedangkan pasien tanpa menggunakan obat sebesar Rp 1.260.000.

Abstract

Macrofauna diversity plays a crucial role in supporting ecosystem quality. However, information regarding macrofauna dominance, diversity, and evenness in the Wan Abdul Rachman Grand Forest Park Collection Block is still unavailable. This study aims to analyze the Dominance, Diversity, and Evenness indices in the Wan Abdul Rachman Grand Forest Park Collection Block area using the line transect and pitfall trap methods. The sampling process was carried out at three observation points representing different habitat characteristics. The study was conducted on November 1-3, 2025. Sampling was carried out at 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM WIB and observed for 2 days. At each point, 15 pitfall traps were installed with a distance of 10 meters between traps and left for 48 hours. The captured or observed macrofauna were identified using the iNaturalist application and then verified by referring to relevant taxonomic literature analyzed based on the parameters of dominance, diversity, and evenness indices. The results of the study indicate that the structure and community of macrofauna in the Collection Block area of ​​the Wan Abdul Rachman Grand Forest Park using the line transect method have a dominance index value of 0.10, which is categorized as low. The diversity index of 2.49 is categorized as medium. The evenness index of 0.89 is categorized as high. In addition, the pitfall trap method has a dominance index value of 0.37, which is categorized as low. The diversity index of 1.48 is categorized as medium. The evenness index of 0.61 is categorized as high. The conclusion of the study shows that the presence of macrofauna in the Collection Block area of ​​the Wan Abdul Rachman Grand Forest Park is quite diverse with no species dominating significantly. The results of the study can be an important ecological basis in evaluating environmental quality in order to design more concrete and targeted conservation.
