Abstract

This article discusses the instrumentation system of airlangga robotic triage assistant version 1 (ARTA-1), a robot used as a contact-free triage assistant for Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) suspects. The triage process consists of automatic vital signs check-up as well as the suspect’s anamnesis that in turns will determine whether the suspect will get a specific care or not. Measurements of a suspect’s vital conditions, i.e. temperature, height, and weight, are carried out with sensors integrated with the Arduino boards, while a touch-free, hand gesture questions and answers is carried out to complete anamnesis process. A portable document format (PDF) format of the triage report, which recommends what to do to the suspect, will then be automatically generated and emailed to a designated medical staff.

Abstract

Arteriovenous Shunt (AV Shunt) is a minor surgical operation that connects (creating anastomoses) the arteries and veins in the arm or other body part for the purpose of making connection access for hemodialysis. AV shunt is the primary choice in establishing vascular access for hemodialysis in patients with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). Therefore, this study aims to review the arteriovenous shunt as a hemodialysis access option in CKD patients. The literature study was conducted by searching various written sources, whether in the form of books, archives, articles and journals, or documents relevant to the problem being studied. The mortality rate after AV shunt is 0%, even though it still has postoperative complications. Based on the location of the operation, making the AV shunt is prioritized on the distal part that is not dominant to minimize the damage to the AV shunt. The location of the wrist, namely the brachiocephalic, is a top priority in making an AV shunt because it has many advantages. AV shunt is the primary choice of vascular access for hemodialysis in patients with chronic kidney disease. It is hoped that through the AV shunt, the life expectancy of patients with CKD can be increased, and patients with CKD must receive support from other disciplines such as interns, psychologists, and the patient's family.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disease characterized by hyperglycemia that occurs due to insulin disorders, insulin action, or a combination of both. Based on data from the 2014 IDF, Indonesia ranks 5th in the world of patients with DM. Diabetic foot is one of the chronic complications of DM that is often encountered. Early vascular assessment in the legs of a diabetic patient is recommended to reduce mortality and morbidity. The vascular examination begins with a capillary refilling examination, palpation of the lower extremity arteries, and a further ankle-brachial index assessment. The vascular approach aims to assess the vascularization of the diabetic foot is still good or has experienced occlusion or obstruction due to inadequate blood vessels. Diabetic foot care is based on the classification recommended by the International Working Group On Diabetic Foot. Management of diabetic foot involves a variety of multidisciplinary, one of them with a vascular approach. The vascular approach also aims to determine the appropriate therapy for the diabetic foot. This study aims to provide better understanding

Abstract

Brain tumors, whether benign or malignant, present a complex and multifaceted challenge in healthcare, affecting individuals across various age groups. Predicting the vulnerability of brain tumors using health risk factors and symptoms is crucial, yet there have been limited research studies, particularly those integrating artificial intelligence (AI) technology. This research explores machine learning models such as support vector machines (SVMs), multi-layer perceptrons (MLPs), and logistic regression (LR) for the early detection of brain tumors. Evaluation metrics, including accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score, are employed to assess model performance. The results indicate that the SVM outperforms other models, providing a robust foundation for predictive accuracy. To enhance accessibility and usability, the research also integrates these models into a mobile application predictor. The application is beneficial for assisting individuals in early detection by identifying potential risk factors and symptoms that may lead to a brain tumor. In conclusion, the integration of machine learning through a mobile application represents a transformative approach to personalized healthcare. By empowering individuals with cutting-edge technology, this research strives to enhance early detection and decision-making regarding potential brain tumor risks and symptoms, ultimately contributing to improved patient outcomes and quality of life.

Abstract

Aortic disease is a collection of diseases of the aorta, which includes aortic aneurysms; acute aortic infections consisting of aortic dissection, intramular hematoma, penetration of atherosclerotic ulcers (PAU) and traumatic injury to the aorta; pseudoaneurysm; aortic rupture; Marfan syndrome; and congenital abnormalities such as coarctation of the aorta. One of the aortic diseases that cause the death rate to increase according to the 2010 Global Burden Disease is aortic aneurysm. Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) is a focal dilatation of the aortic segment. The diagnosis of AAA is done by history taking, physical examination and supporting examination. Management at AAA aims to prevent aortic wall rupture. An alternative procedure without open surgery is endovascular aortic repair (EVAR) using prostheses. It is expected that through the EVAR method, mortality and morbidity due to AAA can be reduced. Keywords: abdominal aortic aneursym, EVAR, prostheses     Penyakit aorta merupakan kumpulan penyakit pada aorta yang meliputi aneurisma aorta; sindrom aorta akut berupa diseksi aorta, hematoma intramular, penetrating atherosclerosis ulcer (PAU) dan cedera akibat trauma pada aorta; pseudoaneurysm; ruptur aorta; sindrom Marfan; serta penyakit kongenital seperti koarktasio aorta.
