Abstract

Unwanted pregnancy in many adolescents raises physical, psychological and social problems. One of the problems of unwanted pregnancy in adolescents is reluctance to breastfeed. The purpose of this study was to obtain an in-depth overview of breastfeeding practice experiences in teenage mothers with unwanted pregnancies. This research is a qualitative research with a phenomenological approach in adolescent mothers in the working area of the Gunungkidul District Health Center. Research participants were selected by purposive sampling with convenience sampling. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews, FGDs and observations of field notes on eight participants of teenage mothers based on interview guidelines and conducted data analysis. The results of this study the majority of teenage mothers have experience of good breastfeeding practice. Almost all teenage mothers understand exclusive breastfeeding. There are several factors that influence teenage mothers when breastfeeding, such as the experience of facing difficulties early breastfeeding. Breastfeeding decision making in adolescents is strongly influenced by parents. Experience when dealing with physical problems, such as the initial illness of breastfeeding, a little milk comes out, nipples blisters and breast swelling. Family support and health workers make teenage mothers maintain breastfeeding practices. Another factor is the information of parents, the environment, peers, health workers and the experience of people around based on the observations they make. Conclusion breastfeeding practices in adolescent mothers with unwanted pregnancies gained experience facing difficulties early breastfeeding, decision-making experiences that are strongly influenced by family members, experiences when dealing with physical problems breastfeeding.

Abstract

Anxiety before and after childbirth can interfere with maternal function and mother-infant behavior including breastfeeding. Exclusive breastfeeding is breastfeeding alone without any additional food for 6 full months. Not all mothers give exclusive breastfeeding to their babies. This is influenced by various anxiety factors such as not initiating breastfeeding, breastfeeding duration. In this study using a scoping review methodology. This study combines knowledge and information related to current assumptions regarding the factors that influence exclusive breastfeeding. This study emphasizes breastfeeding anxiety factors such as breastfeeding initiation, breastfeeding duration and identifies 8 articles from a total of 8 articles, which were reviewed and summarized in a narrative manner. The findings of this study indicate that anxiety is the main factor for optimal breastfeeding. This research is expected to improve outcomes, and can be used as input for policy makers, health workers and service users.

Abstract

ASI Eksklusif merupakan salah satu program yang cukup sulit dikembangkan karena berkaitan dengan berbagai permasalahan sosial di masyarakat. Pemberian ASI eksklusif pada bayi sering dikaitkan dengan motivasi ibu. Dukungan atau dorongan sangat penting untuk mendukung ibu agar berhasil menyusui dengan benar dan secara eksklusif. Salah satu ketidakberhasilan ibu menyusui anaknya, diantaranya ibu belum memahami sepenuhnya cara menyusui yang benar termasuk teknik menyusui yang benar. Penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif analitik dengan desain penelitian cross sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan accidental sampling dengan jumlah sampel penelitian sebanyak 36 ibu yang melahirkan atau ibu postpartum. Penelitian yang didaptkan bahwa ada hubungan motivasi ibu memberikan ASI eksklusif dengan teknik menyusui yang benar dengan nilai p-value sebesar 0,001 sedangkan untuk koefisien kontingestinya sebesar 0,513 yang menyatakan tingkat hubungannya sedang antara motivasi ibu memberikan ASI eksklusif dengan teknik menyusui yang benar. Lanjutkan penelitian dengan variable lain seperti dukungan pemberian AS eksklusif terhadap praktik menyusui.

Abstract

Background: Pregnancy and childbirth are two major events in a woman's life. The postpartum period is a time of risk for the emergence of postpartum depression in the mother. The birth of a baby requires women to play the roles and responsibilities of women. Thus, the postpartum period is a time of risk for the emergence of maternal postpartum depression. Methods: This study uses a scoping review methodology. This study combines knowledge and information related to current assumptions regarding the factors that influence exclusive breastfeeding. This study emphasizes breastfeeding anxiety factors such as breastfeeding initiation, breastfeeding duration and identifies a total of 6 articles, which were reviewed and summarized in a narrative manner. Results: The findings of this study indicate that breastfeeding anxiety can influence mothers to give breast milk optimally. Family history of illness, lack of family support, lack of support from health workers and lack of knowledge of mothers are factors that cause breastfeeding anxiety. Conclusion: To reduce maternal anxiety while breastfeeding, immediate follow-up is needed to reduce these things. and can be used as input for policy makers, health workers and service users.

Abstract

Background: The COVID-19 pandemic first occurred in China in December 2019 which has become a public health problem. WHO has declared Covid-19 a global pandemic. Almost all countries in the world are affected by Covid-19. Research objective: to review the experience of breastfeeding mothers during the Covid-19 pandemic. Method: This scoping review method consists of several steps, namely Identifying Scoping Review Questions, Identifying Relevant Literature Sources, Literature Selection, Compiling, summarizing, and reporting the results. Results: based on critical appraisal, 14 articles were obtained. The results found 3 themes, namely emotional burden, impact on breastfeeding practices, support and social needs. Conclusion: the experience of breastfeeding mothers during the Covid-19 pandemic can foster confidence and self-confidence for mothers to continue giving breast milk to their babies. The findings from this study can be used as a basis or input for future researchers to support breastfeeding practices and overcome challenges that arose during the COVID-19 pandemic

Abstract

Background: The IUD (Intrauterine Contraceptive Device) is a small object made of flexible plastic, has a copper coil or also contains hormones and is inserted into the uterus through the vagina and has threads. Highly effective, 0.5-1 pregnancies per 100 women during the first year of use. The low use of contraceptives in couples of childbearing age can have an impact on population growth which increases every year. Methods: This research is a cross-sectional study with random sampling technique. Results: The results of this study are that there is a relationship between the husband's level of knowledge and the low use of the IUD in Rebo Village with a p-value = 0.015. Conclusion: Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the knowledge level of the husband and the low use of the IUD. There were 48 (59.%) respondents who had good knowledge and used the IUD. Keywords: Contraception, IUD, Knowledge
