Abstract

World development and changes have many impacts to human beings. The changes happen almost in every aspect of life, including physical and nonphysical aspects. The physical changes includes means of communication, transportation, building facilities, agriculture, and many others. The other includes values and norms, tradition, mental attitude, family life pattem, work culture, daily life pattem, etc. These changes bring not only positive effects, but also negative ones to human beings. To increase social welfare, counseling has a significant role to solve social problems, especially in supporting education process and changing its target’s behavior.

Abstract

Abstract

Stunting is a condition where a child has less length or height compared to age. This condition is measured by body length or height that is more than minus two standard deviations from the median of WHO child growth standards. Stunting is caused by insufficient nutritional intake over a long period of time due to providing food that does not meet nutritional needs. Stunting can occur when the fetus is still in the womb and only appears when the child is two years old. The purpose of this article is to describe social education activities and training on local food processing in an effort to overcome stunting. The series of social education activities and local food management training as an educational intervention program is expected to be able to overcome the occurrence of stunting in the community. The social education and local food processing training activities carried out consisted of the stages of identifying needs, preparing program design, implementing the program and evaluating the program. The results of social education and local food processing training for parents have been successful in increasing the community's entrepreneurial abilities, which in turn has an impact on increasing the economic capacity and welfare of the community, thereby preventing malnutrition in children.

Abstract

Masalah pendidikan merupakan salah satu isu krusial yang berpengaruh besar terhadap perkembangan anak. Di Indonesia, angka putus sekolah masih menjadi tantangan serius, dengan berbagai faktor yang berkontribusi pada fenomena ini. Selain aspek ekonomi, yang sering kali menjadi alasan utama, faktor sosial seperti pandangan negatif masyarakat juga memainkan peranan penting. Dalam konteks ini, penting untuk memahami bahwa dampak negatif dari pandangan masyarakat tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai faktor pemicu, tetapi juga sebagai penghalang bagi upaya perbaikan. Anak-anak yang mengalami tekanan sosial ini mungkin enggan mencari bantuan atau dukungan dari orang dewasa karena takut akan penilaian negatif. Hal ini menciptakan siklus yang sulit diputus, di mana stigma terus berlanjut dan menghambat proses pemulihan. Penelitian kami dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode wawancara langsung untuk mengumpulkan data. Penelitian ini dilakukan kepada masyarakat dan anak yang tidak melanjutkan sekolah tingkat SD-SMA dengan kriteria umur 7-18 tahun. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah kami lakukan terdapat beberapa penyebab terjdinya anak putus sekolah tetapi yang menjadi factor utamanya yaitu lingkungan. Selain itu, dukungan orang tua juga sangat berdampak dalam hal ini. Tetapi factor yang paling menonjol dalam penelitian kami yaitu mental anak putus sekolah yang memang terisolasi dan terasingkan. Untuk itu diharapkan semoga Masyarakat bisa berpartisipasi dalam mengatasi hal ini dengan cara tidak terlalu banyak berkomentar kepada anak putus sekolah karena itu sangat berpengaruh terhadap mental anak.

Abstract

Fulfilling the needs of the elderly is an effort to prevent the emergence of elderly-related problems. This study aims to examine the fulfillment of the needs of the elderly in Cisalak Village, Cisarua District, Sumedang Regency. In addition, this study aims to identify potential improvements in meeting the needs of the elderly at the village level. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a survey approach. The research sample involved elderly individuals who were willing and able to become informants, as well as alternative informants from the families of the elderly in Cisalak Village. Data was collected through structured interviews and observations, and analyzed using qualitative data analysis. The results of the study show that the elderly in Cisalak Village are able to meet their physiological needs, safety and security needs, love and belonging needs, and esteem needs well. However, the elderly have not been able to adequately fulfill their self-actualization needs. Despite having a lot of time, they have not been able to utilize their abilities well. In addition, the elderly are less involved in community activities. Therefore, a program called Gali Lantera (Caring Families for Elderly Welfare) has been formulated, designed to involve the elderly in posbindu activities and provide counseling to the families of the elderly about fulfilling the needs of the elderly.

Abstract

This research was conducted in Pedurungan District against the background of the phenomenon of inappropriate child care. This research aims to examine and describe childcare by socio-economically vulnerable women in Pedurungan District, Semarang City, which is studied through the aspects of parental responsiveness and parental demandingness. The method used in this research is a case study with a qualitative approach. The primary data source for this research is data obtained by researchers through interviews and observations, while the secondary data source for this research was obtained through documentation studies and other documents relevant to the research topic. The informants for this research are socio-economically vulnerable women in Pedurungan District who have 7 dependent children and 7 people in the PRSE neighborhood. Checking the validity of the data in this research uses credibility, transferability, dependability and confirmability. The research results show that there are still problems in fulfilling the emotional needs between a caregiver (PRSE) and a child which is caused by PRSE's lack of knowledge about parenting and PRSE's lack of skills in managing emotions. The results of this research indicate that there is a need for education and counseling regarding parenting and developing PRSE emotion management skills. Based on the results of this research, the researchers designed a program, namely a program called Sinar Cerah using the Social Group Work method.

Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah kami lakukan terdapat beberapa penyebab terjdinya anak putus sekolah tetapi yang menjadi factor utamanya yaitu lingkungan. Selain itu, dukungan orang tua juga sangat berdampak dalam hal ini. Tetapi factor yang paling menonjol dalam penelitian kami yaitu mental anak putus sekolah yang memang terisolasi dan terasingkan. Untuk itu diharapkan semoga Masyarakat bisa berpartisipasi dalam mengatasi hal ini dengan cara tidak terlalu banyak berkomentar kepada anak putus sekolah karena itu sangat berpengaruh terhadap mental anak.
