Abstract

This article discusses an analytic study of combining iterative methods of order p and q with p and q integers to Newton’s method to obtain a Newton-type iteration method of order p + q. This new method can also be applied to solve systems of nonlinear equations. Numerical computations are carried out consecutively for a method of second and third order, which produce a Newton-type method of fifth order, and methods of third and fifth order, which produce a Newton-type method  of eighth order. The test results support the analytical studies.

Abstract

The aims of this research is to examine the effectiveness of implementation AyoNabung Sampah program in maintaining environmental cleanliness in the subdistrict of Maesathe city of Bitung. This research use descriptive qualitative approach with theory of effectivenessby Sondang Siagian (2000). The informants of this research are the parties involved in theimplementation of the Ayo Nabung Sampah program in Maesa subdistrict. The collectiontechniques used interviews and documentation and the data analyzed can be done by datareduction, data presentation, and resulting the conclution of the data. The results showed thatthe Ayo Nabung Sampah program already operating effectively enough. It can be seen from theclarity of objectives to be achieved, goal achievement strategy, analysis process and the steadypolicy formulation, good planning, preparation of appropriate programs, and the availability ofinfrastructure. However, there are still two imdicator are didn’t optimal, that is goalachievement strategy, the strategies used in this case are socialization and promotion, thesocialization and promotion carried out are not optimal because the mindset and behavior of thesociety are not able tp be changed. the socialization and promotion carried out are not optimal isalso impact on not understanding the society and also external parties regarding the purpose ofthis program. And the second indicator is the availability of infrastructure in Kekenturan SatuUrban village are still did’t optimal. Keywords: Effectiveness, Ayo Nabung Sampah program

Abstract

The primary objective of this article is to derive a new free from second derivative iterative method for solving nonlinear equations. The proposed method is proven to have fifth order of convergence. Comparisons with other iterative methods represent the advantage of the modified method. Observation on applications of the method in problem of chemical equilibrium , binary azeotropic problem, volume from van der Waals equations and eccentric anomaly in Kepler's law exhibits that our method is applicable and preferable.

Abstract

In this paper, a modified Householder method of fifth order is proposed for solving nonlinear equations. The modification is done by adapting a cubic interpolation polynomial to approximate the second derivative in the Householder method. Weprovide a theorem to prove the order of convergence of the proposed method. The simulations reveal that the proposed method needs fewer iterations, even with challenging initial guesses, and excels in sending a large portion of initial points to convergence and exhibits rapid convergence.

Abstract

In the digital era, skills in using Microsoft Office are very important for village officials. This is the background of the Microsoft Office training for village officials in Desa Mekong, Kecamatan Tebing Tinggi Barat, Kepualauan Meranti. The training materials include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point. This training uses the “Learning by Doing” method which allows participants to immediately engage in practice after the presentation of the material. Participating village officials showed significant improvement in knowledge and skills using Microsoft Office. The enthusiasm of the participants and the assistance by the students also enriched the learning process, making it more interactive and in-depth. This training has positive implications for improving the competence of village officials and the quality of public services in Desa Mekong.

Abstract

The selection of thesis supervisors is a crucial process in higher education but is often conducted manually and subjectively, leading to mismatches in expertise, unequal workload distribution, and inefficiencies. This study aims to develop a decision support system (DSS) to assign thesis supervisors objectively and fairly. The approach combines the Entropy and TOPSIS methods. The Entropy method is used to calculate objective weights for five criteria: academic rank, field of expertise, student preference, supervision quota, and student graduation speed. The TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) method is then applied to rank supervisor candidates based on their proximity to ideal solutions. The results demonstrate that the system effectively recommends the most suitable supervisor, with Lecturer G identified as the top choice. This system is expected to enhance the efficiency, transparency, and equity of the thesis supervisor assignment process within the Informatics Engineering Program at Malikussaleh University.

Abstract

This paper explores the characteristics of two distinct ideal types within BP-algebra, specifically T-ideal and -ideal. Initially, we elucidate the characteristics of the T-ideal in BP-algebra, establishing its connections with the perfect, normal, and normal ideal in BP-algebra. Subsequently, we demonstrate that the kernel of a homomorphism in BP-algebra constitutes a T-ideal. Moving forward, we delineate the properties of -ideal in BP-algebra, highlighting its relationships with ideal and filter in the context of BP-algebra. Additionally, we explore the characteristics of -ideal and subalgebra in 0-commutative BP-algebra. Finally, it is proven that the kernel of a homomorphism in 0-commutative BP-algebra can be identified as an -ideal.
