Abstract

This research aim to know about difficulties of the mild mentally impaired children in reading and the causes of reading difficulties. This research design is descriptive and qualitative case study. Based on data analysis result, research outcome shows that: (1) Difficulties of reading in a mentally mild impaired child include: Difficulties of pronouncement, fluency (repetitiveness), perception, concentration, concern, recollection, differentiation of recollecting word having been read and word or not yet having been read, differentiation of recollecting line having been read or not yet having been read, understanding, motorics (2) Causes of the reading difficulties in a mentally mild impaired child include a) physical causes: malfunction or anomaly of speech device, motoric obstacle. b). auses of Mentality and Psychology : inaccurateness if perception, inability for concentration, his or her recollection is less, differentiation in recollecting word having been read and word not yet having been read is vague, differentiation in recollecting the line having been read and not yet having been read is vague, emotional impediment, low intelligence.Keywords: teaching reading, early childhood, mild mentally impaired

Abstract

This research aims to increase communicating capability of hearing-impaired child of early age through verbal language method. This research was implemented at Poyowa Besar Primary School of Special Needs at Kotamobagu City. The research method used in this research was action research. The conclusion of this research result was that there was an increase of communicating capability on two hearing-impaired children researched at cycle I, it obtained outcome percentage of 10 %, at cycle II, it obtained 20%, and at cycle III, there was 80%. Based on that analysis result data, it says that percentage of preliminary research from cycle I, to cycle II, and cycle III underwent the increase.How to citePutri, N. (2014). Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to develop a learning model of Self-Care skills for mentally retarded early age children in North Sulawesi. The research was conducted in five exceptional schools in North Sulawesi which includes 10 teachers and 22 mentally retarded early age children. This study used a qualitative approach while methods of research include research and development (R&D) procedures. This Self-Building learning model were developed in four phases, which are (1) requirements analysis, (2) designing model based on the results of requirements analysis, (3) implementation of the learning model, and (4) assess the effectiveness of learning models in accordance with the teaching process. The evaluation process consist of expert matters validation, which are early age education and mentally retarded children experts, and making revision. Validation was implemented by the teachers of mentally retarded exceptional schools before making a revise, first field trials, second field trials and field tests. The trial results used to revise the product. This research resulted in RPP (Learning Implementation Plan) and a handbook for teachers. Conclusions from the study were: Implementation of the resulting learning model was effective to improve the mastery of skills to take off and put on shoes, socks, a shirt, t-shirt, short, skirt for the mentally retarded early age; The substance of the content and design flexibility of the structure of the model are included in the category of effective and the application of teaching learning model will be able to facilitate the teachers of mentally retarded exceptional School Learning Implementation Plan, carry outa learningand undertake an evaluation of learning. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model pembelajaran keterampilan bina diri untuk keterbelakangan mandiri pada anak usia dini di Sulawesi Utara. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di sekolah luar biasa di Sulawesi Utara dengan melibatkan 10 orang guru dan 22 anak usia dini dengan keterbelakangan mental. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode Research and Development (RnD). Model pembelajaran dilakukan dalam empat asa, yaitu (1) analisis kebutuhan, (2) mendisain model pembelajaran berdasarkan hasil analisis kebutuhan, (3) menerapkan model pembelajaran, dan (4) menilai keefektifan model pembelajaran sesuai dengan proses mengajar. Proses evaluasi berisi validasi meteri oleh ahli, oleh pendidik anak usia dini dan ahli keterbelakangan mental pada anak, dan membuat revisi. Validasi diterapkan oleh guru keterbelakangan mental di sekolah luar biasa sebelum membuat perbaikan, uji coba lapangan pertama, uji coba lapangan kedua, dan uji lapangan. Uji tersebut digunakan untuk memperbaik produk. Penelitian ini menghasilkan RPP (Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran) dan handbook untuk guru. Kesimpulannya dari penelitian ini adalah: penerapan menghasilkan model pembelajaran yang efektif untuk menghasilkan keterampilan dalam melepaskan dan memakai sepatu, kaus kaki, baju, kaus, dan senda untuk anak keterbelakangan mental. Substansi dari isi dan fleksibilitas desain dari struktur model termasuk didalamnnya kategori efektivitas dan penerapan model pembelajaran dan pengajaran akan mampu memfasilitasi guru di sekolah luar biasa dalam menerapkan pembelajaran, melaksanakan pembelajaran dan melakukan evaluasi pembelajaran.

Abstract

Plastic is a polymer compound, a synthetic material with properties that are quite complete so that its use in people's lives is very widespread. In modern life, almost all goods that humans need directly or indirectly can be made of plastic; good for industry, transportation facilities, security, sanitation, household purposes, supply and preparation of food with processes of sterilization, cooling, freezing and others. Lately, plastic either in the form of individual or laminated packaging bags is widely used to package various hot take-away foods such as meatballs, noodles, soup, soto, side dishes and others. During its role as plastic packaging, it will be in direct contact with food whose composition varies at relatively high temperatures. This situation provides an opportunity for interactions that may cause pollution that endangers consumers. As a result of the use of plastic on food that is packaged in hot conditions, it can cause public health problems, so that people need to be given knowledge about plastic materials and the dangers caused by the use of these plastics

Abstract

Bahasa dipelajari dan diperoleh anak usia dini secara alamiah untuk beradaptasi dengan lingkungannya. Penggunaan bahasa Indonesia maupun bahasa daerah dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar harus berjalan bersamaan. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan model spiral. Dilakukan dalam dua siklus, subyek penelitian yaitu anak usia dini 5-6 tahun, terdiri dari 16 anak, 9 anak laki-laki dan 7 anak perempuan. Kondisi awal jumlah anak yang sudah berkembang sesuai harapan berjumlah 3 anak atau 18,75% dan pada siklus I menjadi 31,25% atau 5 anak berkembang sesuai harapan dan anak berkembang sangat baik /optimal berjumlah 2 anak atau 12,5%. Pada siklus II meningkat lebih baik lagi menjadi 81,25% atau 13 anak yang terdiri dari 7 anak berkembang sesuai harapan dan 6 anak berkembang sangat baik/optimal. Dapat dikatakan bahwa penggunaan media gambar foto dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa anak.

Abstract

Musculoskeletal disorders are common issues that affect various age groups, including children and adolescents. In dentistry, a frequently encountered musculoskeletal disorder is temporomandibular disorder, which can significantly impact the quality of life of those affected. Schools play a crucial role in preventing and detecting musculoskeletal disorders among students. However, the literature indicates that teachers' knowledge regarding musculoskeletal disorders generally remains relatively low. Therefore, education and training programs must enhance teachers' understanding of these issues. As part of its commitment to health education, the Community Service Team (PkM) of Universitas Trisakti conducted an awareness program for 100 secondary school teachers at IPEKA Tomang. The program was carried out in two stages, focusing on general musculoskeletal and orofacial disorders. The evaluation results showed an improvement in teachers' understanding of both topics, which is expected to contribute to the prevention and early management of musculoskeletal disorders in schools.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang Dihadapi Guru dalam Mengaja di Taman Kanak-Kanak Inklusif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui masalah-masalah yang dihadapi guru dalam mengajar. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juli 2024 sampai dengan bulan Desember 2024 dengan subyek penelitian adalah guru-guru yang mengajar di TK inklusif . Disain penelitian ini, adalah studi kasus dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan memalui angket, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dikerjakan selama pengumpulan data dan analisis sesudah pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada umumnya guru yang mengajar di TK inklusif belum memiliki pengetahuan mengenai anak berkebutuhan khusus, belum memiliki pengalaman menangani anak berkebutuhan khusus, tidak adanya tim yang bekerjasama, bagaimana menciptakan pembelajaran di kelas, jumlah siswa terlalu besar, kurikulum yang digunakan tidak sesuai dengan kebutuhan belajar anak berkebutuhan khsusus, guru belum pernah mengikuti pelatihan dan lokakarya mengenai pengembangan kelas yang inklusif, meningkatkan bagaimana mengembangkan bahan pembelajaran yang berkaitan dengan lingkungan inklusif akibatnya guru mengalami kendala dalam merencanakan pengajaran, melaksanakan, dan melakukan evaluasi hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Research at Roda Junior Kindergarten Tomohon aims to improve the ability to recognize vowels through video learning using two cycle PTK. The research subjects were 15 children consisting of 10 boys and 5 girls. This is motivated by the low ability of children to recognize vowel letters. Data collection techniques through observation, tests, documentation, reflection. Data analysis technique through descriptive analysis, the use of video learning to increase the ability to recognize vowels in cycle I, namely 60% MB and increasing in the cycle reaching 95.5% BSB, the difference in improvement between cycle I and cycle II is 33.3%. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of video learning can improve the ability to recognize vowels in Roda Junior Tomohon Kindergarten for group B children aged 5-6 years.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan anak dalam mengenal huruf melalui permainan kartu huruf pada anak kelompok B di TK GMIM Hosiana Tumatangtang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas, yang dilakukan dalam 2 siklus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah anak Kelompok B TK GMIM Hosiana Tumatangtang yang berjumlah 12 anak. Model penelitian yang digunakan adalah model yang dikembagkan oleh Kemmis dan MC Taggart. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kemampuan mengenal huruf dapat ditingkatkan melalui permainan kartu huruf. Anak-anak diajak bermain kartu huruf, menyebutkan huruf yang ada pada kartu, menunjukkan gambar pada kartu, kemudian menyebutkan huruf depan dari gambar. Kemampuan mengenal huruf pada Pra Siklus presentase rata-rata baru mencapai 16,6%, kemudian pada Siklus I presentase rata-rata meningkat menjadi 48,5% dan presentase rata-rata pada Siklus II mampu meningkat hingga 100%. Dapat dikatakan kategori baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui permainan kartu huruf dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal huruf pada anak.
