Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adding husk charcoal on the growth of cayenne pepper (Capsicum frustescens L.). This research is an experimental study by looking at the effect of adding husk charcoal to chili growth using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The statistical data analysis test used was ANOVA 1 ROAD with a significant level of 5% and used rice husk charcoal of 250 grams, 500 grams, 750 grams. The results of the data analysis of plant height Fcount> Ftable (6.08> 2.92), leaf length Fcount> Ftable (9.66> 2.29) and the number of leaves Fcount <Ftable (1.04 <2.92). It can be concluded that there is an effect between treatments on the parameters of height and leaf length growth whereas the number of leaves has no effect. The best growth of cayenne pepper can be seen in the addition of husk charcoal at a rate of 250 grams. Keywords: Husk charcoal media, growth of cayenne pepper (Capsicum     Frustescens L).

The purpose of this research is to know the Influence The Effect of Cooperative Learning Model Investigation Group (IG) Toward Critical Thinking Ability With Lesson Study Pattern on Biology Subject Class X MAN Selong . The type of this research is experimental research using Quasy Experimental Design. The population in this study are students of class X IPA Semester II consisting of  3 classes with a total of  91 students. The sample in this research is IPA 1 class as experimental class and IPA 2 class as control class using simple random sampling technique. The instrument in this research is the critical thinking skill test in the form of essay test which amounts to 7 items. Based on the data analysis, the average value of post-test experimental class is 83.00 and control class is 67.70. Meanwhile, hypothesis test using statistical analysis with the t-test formula at the level of 5% confidence is obtained tcount of 14.97. After comparison with ttable 2.056, tcount 14.97> ttable 2.056, so the conclusion in this research is The Effect Cooperative Learning Model Type Investigation Group (IG) Influential on Critical Thingking Ability With Lesson Study Pattern on Biology Subject Class X MAN Selong. Keywords: Investigation Group, Critical Thinking Skill, Lesson Study

Abstract

The use of plants as traditional medicine has been known for a long time by the community in Kadindi Village, Pekat District. This traditional medicine is passed down from generation to generation. However, at this time due to the development of times and traditional technology began to be abandoned, therefore it is very important to know again about the knowledge of medicinal plants that are used by the community. This study aims to determine the types of plants used by the people of Kadindi Village, Pekat District, the parts of plants used as medicine and how to use these plants in the treatment of various diseases. The type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative research and the sampling technique is purposive sampling. Where the data was obtained from the results of direct interviews with the people of Kadindi Village, Pekat District. The amount of information used was 20 respondents from two hamlets in Kadindi Village. Based on the research results, 35 types of medicinal plants were widely used by the people of Kadindi Village in the treatment of various diseases. The parts used are the roots, leaves, seeds, fruit, rhizomes, tubers, skin, air, and seeds. There are various kinds of processing, some are drunk, rubbed on, put on, put into the nostrils, used for shampooing, used for bathing, used for bathing and in thefemale area.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of STEAM-based biology learning integrated with science literacy on students' creative thinking skills. This type of research uses quasi-experimental design. The population of this study were all grade X students at MA Mu "allimin NWDI Pancor in the 2023/2024 academic year. The research sample was determined by Simple Random Sampling technique. Class X-B as an experimental class using the STEAM approach and class X-A as a control class using the lecture method. The research design used was Posttest-Only Control Design. Data collection techniques were carried out through creative thinking instruments. Data were analyzed using independent sample t test analysis. The hypothesis results show that tcount> ttable (3.525> 1.645) which means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the validity and effectiveness of Project Based Learning Student Worksheets (LKPD) in increasing student learning motivation on the Human Digestive System material. This type of research is development research. This research uses the Bord and Gall development model. This model consists of 10 stages, but in its implementation it was simplified into 5 stages which were adapted to the needs and limitations of the research. The test subjects in this research were 1 material expert, 1 design expert, 1 biology teacher and 24 students. The data collection technique used in this research is a learning motivation questionnaire. The data collection instrument used in this research is an instrument to measure the validity of the LKPD in the form of a material expert validation sheet and a design expert validation sheet. The instrument for knowing teacher responses and student responses to LKPD is in the form of a questionnaire. Data analysis in this research uses instrument validity, student response results, and analysis of learning motivation questionnaire results. The results of the validity analysis of the material expert obtained 83.82% with valid criteria, the results of the validity analysis of the design expert obtained 88.33% with very valid criteria, and the results of the teacher response analysis obtained 98.68% with very good criteria as well as the results of the analysis of participant responses. students on LKPD obtained 90.07% with very good criteria. The results of the analysis of the student learning motivation questionnaire obtained a percentage of 91.14% with the criteria for achieving learning objectives (KKTP) being very effective. From the results of the research trial subjects, it shows that the Project Based Learning LKPD is suitable for use according to the needs of students.

Abstract

Control of Plant Pest Organisms by using synthetic pesticides has a negative impact on the garden. Some of these impacts include environmental pollution, the emergence of "biotypes" that are resistant and resurgent, the natural enemy population decreases and is less efficient, the loss of several types of plants that are potential to be used as refugia plants, expensive control costs, and a decrease in the quantity and quality of production of cultivated plants. In this case, action needs to be taken that can be used as an alternative solution to the problem of pest attacks. Wild plants have the potential as refugia for pest insect predators. Refugia plants are types of plants around plants that can provide shelter, additional feed sources, resting places, and reproductive sites (Nentwig, 1998; Wratten et al., 1998; Sosromarsono and Untung, 2000 in Rahman, 2010). Refugia plants in the field of agriculture generally refer to the types of plants and plants that have a role as a habitat for three tropical biota groups (Murphy, et al., 1998; Wratten, et al., 1998 in Rahman, 2010). Habitat is the place of a living organism or can also indicate a place occupied by the entire community. Begon et al. (1986) in Rahman (2010) argues that an area as a habitat (habitable area) is an area for each species in it, can maintain the existence of its population because (1) has the opportunity to colonize, and (2) is not defeated by competitors . While the potential of various wild plants / weeds as refugia plants for some natural enemies of pests in the plantation area or the system is still limited in information so that the community in particular, in Kerongkong Village East Lombok Regency is in dire need of information related to wild plants as Refugia Predator and Parasitoid. Furthermore, research on Identification of Wild Plants as Refugia Predators and Parasitoid Citrus Plants (Citrus grandis) in Kebun Jeruk Kerongkong Village, East Lombok Regency aims to provide information for the community and as a literature review in studying Wild Plants as Predator and Parasitoid Refugia. The output target desired by the researcher is to provide information and add and as a literature review of wild plants as Refugia Predator and Parasitoid for the community, students and researchers, therefore Descriptive methods are used to identify Wild plants as Refugia Predator and Parasitoid, where the scope of the type of descriptive research is to be able to find various data and facts from the object of research, as well as describe or describe, or describe and explain, in accordance with the sequence of problems presented.
