Abstract

Amid the current tension of interfaith life in Indonesia, the Semarang Archdiocese Church (KAS) is working to create a welcoming space for young people. Since 2014, KAS Church has organized an activity called “Kongres Persaudaraan Sejati”, which was later changed to “Srawung Persaudaraan Sejati Kaum Muda Lintas Agama” in 2018. This activity, which takes place every four years, aims to demonstrate the Catholic Church's involvement in upholding the value of pluralism, which is based on a culture of encounter or dialog. This idea of a culture of encounter was then enriched by the ideological model defended by Pope Francis in his encyclical Fratelli Tutti (2020). The document Fratelii Tutti (2020) contains a model for reflection on coexistence and the movement towards world peace. This article will explore the thought pattern of Pope Francis regarding the document Fratelli Tutti (2020) and find the contribution of this thought to the activity “Srawung Persaudaraan Sejati Kaum Muda Lintas Agama”.AbstrakDi tengah arus merenggangnya kehidupan lintas agama di Indonesia, Gereja Keuskupan Agung Semarang (KAS) berjuang menciptakan ruang kebersamaan untuk kaum muda. Sejak 2014, Gereja KAS memiliki kegiatan yang bernama “Kongres Persaudaraan Sejati” yang kemudian pada tahun 2018 dimodifikasi menjadi “Srawung Persaudaraan Sejati Kaum Muda Lintas Agama”. Kegiatan yang diselenggarakan setiap empat tahun sekali ini hendak menunjukkan keterlibatan Gereja Katolik untuk menjaga nilai pluralitas yang kemudian didukung oleh adanya budaya perjumpaan atau dialog. Gagasan mengenai budaya perjumpaan ini kemudian diperkaya dengan model pemikiran yang dimiliki oleh Paus Fransiskus dalam ensikliknya yang berjudul Fratelli Tutti (2020). Dokumen Fratelii Tutti (2020) berisikan sebuah model pemikiran mengenai kehidupan bersama dan gerakan menuju perdamaian dunia. Tulisan ini akan menggali model pemikiran yang dimiliki Paus Fransiskus mengenai Dokumen Fratelli Tutti (2020) dan menemukan kontribusi pemikiran terhadap kegiatan “Srawung Persaudaraan Sejati Kaum Muda Lintas Agama”.

Abstract

In Yogyakarta, a community was born that emerged from a concern in society. This community is called Sega Mubeng Community. This community is a social community initiated by the Catholic Church. Care and concern for others are the main mission of this community. Concretely, caring for others is carried out by sharing packed rice for others on the side of the road, such as: pedicab drivers, beggars, buskers, and homeless people. As it grew, this community, initially attended only by people from the Catholic Church, later transformed into an interfaith community in which people from outside the Catholic Church also participated. The Sega Mubeng Community is an interfaith community model that may be implemented in the future. Using Anthony Giddens' structural theory approach, this article will discusss the role of social actors in initiating change in society. Learning from Giddens, there will always be individuals who understand their society and initiate change. In this case, the Sega Mubeng community is an example of a social change movement that takes place through the role of social actors.AbstrakDi Yogyakarta lahir sebuah komunitas yang muncul dari sebuah keprihatinan di tengah masyarakat. Komunitas tersebut bernama Komunitas Sega Mubeng. Komunitas ini adalah sebuah komunitas sosial yang diinisiasi oleh Gereja Katolik. Perhatian dan kepedulian terhadap sesama menjadi misi utama dari komunitas ini. Secara konkret, kepedulian terhadap sesama dilakukan dengan kegiatan berbagi nasi bungkus kepada sesama yang berada di pinggiran jalan, seperti: tukang becak, pengemis, pengamen dan gelandangan. Dalam perkembangannya, komunitas yang pada awalnya hanya diikuti oleh orang-orang dari Gereja Katolik ini kemudian diikuti juga oleh orang-orang di luar Gereja Katolik. Komunitas Sega Mubeng menjadi salah satu model komunitas lintas agama yang dapat dilakukan di masa mendatang. Melalui pendekatan teori strukturasi Anthony Giddens, tulisan ini akan membahas tentang bagaimana peran aktor sosial di dalam menginisiasi sebuah perubahan di tengah masyarakat. Belajar dari Giddens, akan selalu ada individu-individu yang memahami masyarakatnya dan menginisiasi perubahan. Dalam hal ini Komunitas Sega Mubeng menjadi salah satu contoh gerakan perubahan di tengah masyarakat yang terjadi karena peran dari aktor sosial.

Abstract

In the midst of inter-religious segregation, there are several inter-faith movements. Apparently, the movement developed over time. One of the interfaith movements currently present in implementing the values of fraternity is Jaringan Gusdurian. The presence of Jaringan Gusdurian gives a new color to the interfaith movement, because of this group move actively in fighting for justice, defending minority groups and carrying out peace campaigns. In its implementation, this group also prioritizes human values wrapped in interfaith movements.This article will specifically discuss the brotherhood movement as a common arena, learning from Jaringan Gudurian, using the perspective of Strategic Action Fields theory, where this theory explains the fields or arenas that gives a new possibility through the role of social actors. Through this theory, a guide will be founded to find out models of fraternal movements in Jaringan Gusdurian which are models of fraternal movements in living together.Abstrak Di tengah arus segregasi antar agama, terdapat beberapa gerakan lintas iman. Ternyata, gerakan tersebut berkembang seiring berjalannya waktu. Salah satu gerakan lintas iman yang hadir pada masa kini dalam mengimplementasi nilai persaudaraan adalah Jaringan Gusdurian. Hadirnya Jaringan Gusdurian memberikan warna baru bagi gerakan lintas iman, karena kelompok ini bergerak secara aktif dalam memperjuangkan keadilan, membela kelompok minoritas serta melakukan aksi kampanye perdamaian. Dalam pelaksanaannya, kelompok ini juga mengutamakan nilai-nilai kemanusiaan yang dibalut dalam gerakan lintas iman. Tulisan ini akan secara khusus membahas mengenai gerakan persaudaraan sebagai arena bersama, belajar dari Jaringan Gusdurian dengan menggunakan perspektif teori Strategic Action Fields yang mana teori ini menjelaskan mengenai fields ataupun arena yang membentuk sebuah kemungkinan baru melalui peran aktor sosial. Melalui teori tersebut, ditemukan panduan untuk mengetahui model-model gerakan persaudaraan dalam Jaringan Gusdurian yang menjadi model gerakan persaudaraan dalam hidup bersama.

Abstract

Responding to the needs of students in this digital era, the utilization of educational technology must be welcomed and used properly in the classroom. Flipped Learning (FL) is one of them. The implementation of flipped-learning by involving audio-visual content and the utilization of digital media will certainly help students to further absorb learning materials. Using devices, students can access lecture materials before the meeting. Sanata Dharma University also uses a Learning Management System (LMS) that can be optimized to support this flipped-learning. This paper aims to discuss the application of FL in “Introduction to New Testament” courses at the Faculty of Theology and the evaluation of this method. The method used is participatory observation of the author as lecturers involved in this FL-based learning and also literature study related to the basic concepts of FL to help deliver material to students in this digital era. The results showed that the application of this FL based on Ignatian pedagogy helped students to have an intellectual, participatory, and practical learning experience.
