Abstract

North Kalimantan Province has many challenges to achieve its global target because this province is still dealing with complex information system problems, such as the information related to the Indonesia-Malaysia border area. Dissemination of information from authority in the city (government) to local government is challenging. The slow dissemination of information causes some activities to be constrained. From this case, the researcher attempt to provide a solution to support the system needs of the North Kalimantan government. A web-based system and a mobile-based application that is integrated with the Global Positioning System (GPS) so that a GIS-based system conceivable to be constructed. The following is an overview of the integrated Information System Management concept. From the results of the research, it is concluded that the information system for the border area of ​​North Kalimantan is expected to provide effortless information from the rural to sub-district and to the district government levels. By means of this  information system, it is expected to be able to support the system needs of the North Kalimantan Government. This information system is expected to support the needs of the North Kalimantan government information system. The information systems that are expected to be constructed later are web-based information systems and mobile-based applications that are integrated with the Global Positioning System (GPS).

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the collaboration between the government and the private sector (PT. Antam. Tbk) and the collaboration between the government and the community/NGOs (MediaQita Foundation) in preserving the oral tradition of the Bajau Iko-Iko in Southeast Sulawesi. The research method in this article is a qualitative with a descriptive approach. The data sources of this research are primary and secondary with data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this research are the collaboration between the government and the private sector (PT. Antam. Tbk) and the collaboration between the government and the community/NGOs (MediaQita Foundation) in preserving the oral tradition of the Bajau iko-iko in Southeast Sulawesi. The presence of a culture-based curriculum in three elementary schools in the coastal area of ​​Hakatotubu Village.

Abstract

The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is creating a gap between conventional curricula and the industry's need for AI literacy among students of Information Systems. Information Systems (IS) students, as future designers and developers of technology, play a crucial role in understanding and applying AI effectively and ethically. This community service activity aims to enhance the understanding of IS students at Kalla Institute regarding the concepts, trends, benefits, challenges, and ethical implications of the AI revolution in education. This service was realized through an internal workshop delivered directly by a lecturer from the Information Systems Study Program at Kalla Institute. The implementation method involved interactive lectures, discussions, and question-and-answer sessions that explored various aspects of AI in the educational context, ranging from basic concepts and practical applications to ethical considerations. Activity evaluation was conducted through pre-test and post-test questionnaires, as well as qualitative feedback, to measure the increase in participants' understanding and perceptions. The results showed a significant increase in understanding among student participants regarding the role and impact of AI in education, as well as high enthusiasm for utilizing AI for learning and future career development. This service activity successfully increased the understanding and readiness of Kalla Institute students to apply AI ethically and responsibly, contributing to the achievement of the institution's vision.

Abstract

Sastra lisan Bugis-Makassar merupakan kristalisasi nilai filosofis dan identitas kultural masyarakat Sulawesi Selatan yang kini menghadapi ancaman kepunahan akibat pergeseran preferensi konsumsi media generasi muda. Namun, kehadiran media baru menawarkan paradigma baru dalam preservasi kebudayaan melalui format digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemanfaatan media baru dalam pelestarian sastra lisan melalui pendekatan digital storytelling pada cerita rakyat Sulawesi Selatan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan analisis konten (content analysis). Objek penelitian terdiri dari tiga video animasi cerita rakyat dengan tayangan tertinggi pada kanal YouTube Riri Cerita Anak Interaktif, yaitu Legenda Nenek Pakande, Legenda I Laurang, dan Legenda Nene' Mallomo. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa platform YouTube efektif mentransformasikan sifat sastra lisan yang awalnya efemeral (mudah hilang) menjadi arkival (terdokumentasi permanen). Integrasi elemen multimedia seperti narasi ekspresif, visualisasi karakter, dan efek suara terbukti mampu mengontekstualisasikan nilai-nilai falsafah kemanusiaan dan keutamaan moral lokal seperti siri’ (harga diri), alempureng (kejujuran), sitinaja (kepatutan), serta kecerdikan lokal kepada masyarakat digital. Kolom komentar YouTube juga bertransformasi menjadi ruang dialektika budaya partisipatif intergenerasional. Implikasi penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya rekontekstualisasi warisan budaya takbenda ke dalam ekosistem digital agar tetap relevan bagi generasi masa depan.Kata Kunci: Media Baru, Sastra Lisan, Digital Storytelling, Cerita Rakyat, Pelestarian Budaya.
