Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has brought companies to a situation full of uncertainty. Companies that want to survive must be able to adapt quickly. The trick is to ensure quality control and business effectiveness run well as an effort to maintain business in the midst of industrial turbulence. Identification of critical business processes or systems, determining the person in charge of each business process, identifying essential functions that support business processes and conducting ongoing assessments must be the focus of the company's attention. This study aims to describe the five keys to the success of the Kaizen Event, namely management policies and concerns, education and training, internal processes, assessments and awards in the implementation of the Toyota Kalla-Indonesia Kaizen Event Improvement Program during the COVID-19 pandemic 2020-2021. This study uses an interpretive paradigm and a qualitative approach. Collecting data through document search, observation and interviews. The results show that Toyota Kalla's ability to encourage improvement in employees through Kaizen Events during the 2020-2021 Covid-19 pandemic is supported by the implementation of the five keys to success in Kaizen according to the Omoush et al (2020) model. In addition, the Kaizen Event at Toyota Kalla is also effective as a model for quality control and business effectiveness.Keywords:  Kaizen, quality, efectivity, covid 19 pandemic, toyota kalla Pandemi Covid-19 membawa perusahaan pada situasi yang penuh ketidakpastian. Perusahaan yang ingin bertahan harus bisa beradaptasi dengan cepat. Caranya, memastikan kendali mutu dan efektifitas bisnis berjalan dengan baik sebagai upaya mempertahankan bisnis di tengah turbulensi industri. Identifikasi proses bisnis atau sistem yang kritikal, menetapkan penanggung jawab dari setiap proses bisnis, identifikasi fungsi esensial yang menunjang proses bisnis serta melakukan penilaian secara berkelanjutan harus menjadi titik berat perhatian perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan lima kunci kesuksesan Kaizen Event yaitu kebijakan dan kepedulian manajemen, pendidikan dan pelatihan, proses internal, penilaian dan penghargaan pada pelaksanaan Program Improvement Kaizen Event Toyota Kalla-Indonesia di masa pandemi Covid 19 2020-2021.  Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma interpretative dan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengambilan data melalui penelusuran dokumen, observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan Toyota Kalla dalam mendorong improvement pada karyawan melalui Kaizen Event di masa pandemi Covid 19 2020-2021 didukung adanya penerapan lima kunci sukses dalam Kaizen menurut model Omoush et al (2020). Di samping itu, Kaizen Event di Toyota Kalla juga efektif sebagai model kendali mutu dan efiktivitas bisnis.Kata Kunci: Kaizen, mutu, efektivitas, pandemi covid 19, toyota kalla

Abstract

With the significant development of social media platforms, Instagram is now becoming a social media platforms that not only allows users to share photos or videos but also their opinions and experiences in consuming products or services. This then makes social media able in facilitating users to engage in electronic word-of-mouth (e-WOM). By using consumer socialization approach, this research explores whether peer communication, relation and attitude towards the brand, and Instagram usage behaviour can influence  e-WOM in Instagram. The statistical populations are 240 respondents who are sampled by purposive sampling technique. This research tests  three hypotheses with logistic regression analysis and finds that peer communications, relation and attitude toward the brands, as well as Instagram usage behaviour influence e-WOM intention positively and significantly. This research also gives some managerial implications and some recommendations for future research.

Abstract

One of the topics in leadership studies that have received much attention today is international leadership, where researchers focus on leadership behaviors that are culturally appropriate to where the organization is located. Paternalistic leadership becomes one of the themes in the study of international leadership. This research explains the mechanisms by which paternalistic leadership influences job performance and contextual performance of employees using the theory of social exchange and the theory of affective events in the organizational. 193 valid responses of employees from various organizations took part in the study. The results of data analysis show that paternalistic leadership behavior has a positive influence on task performance and contextual performance of employees. Furthermore, trust in the leader partially mediates the effect of paternalistic leadership on task performance and fully mediates the effect of paternalistic leadership and employee contextual performance. These findings suggest that the higher paternalistic leadership will increase employee trust in leaders, then through the trust in leader the performance of employees will also increase. The argument in explaining the results is more detail discussed in the discussion section of this article. Salah satu topik dalam kajian kepemimpinan yang mendapat banyak perhatian saat ini adalah kepemimpinan internasional, dimana para peneliti memfokuskan pada perilaku kepemimpinan yang sesuai dengan budaya dimana organisasi tersebut berada. Kepemimpinan paternalistik menjadi salah satu tema dalam kajian kepemimpinan internasional. Penelitian ini menjelaskan mengenai mekanisme bagaimana kepemimpinan paternalistik mempengaruhi kinerja tugas dan kinerja kontekstual karyawan menggunakan teori pertukaran sosial dan teori kejadian afektif pada konteks organisasi. 193 tanggapan valid karyawan dari berbagai organisasi ikut ambil bagian dalam penelitian ini. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan perilaku kepemimpinan paternalistik memiliki pengaruh positif pada kinerja tugas dan kinerja kontekstual karyawan. Selanjutnya, rasa percaya pada pemimpin memediasi secara parsial pengaruh kepemimpinan paternalistik pada kinerja tugas dan memediasi secara penuh pengaruh kepemimpinan paternalistik dan kinerja kontekstual karyawan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi kepemimpinan paternalistik maka akan meningkatkan rasa percaya karyawan pada pemimpin, kemudian melalui rasa percaya pada pemimpin inilah kinerja karyawan juga akan meningkat. Adapun argumentasi dalam menjelaskan hasil tersebut lebih detail dibahas pada bagian diskusi artikel ini. Kata kunci: Kepemimpinan paternalistik, kinerja tugas, kinerja kontekstual, rasa percaya pada pemimpin, mediasi.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) dalam bentuk Pelatihan Design Thinking and Innovation kepada perwakilan karyawan Kalla Group ini adalah : 1. Meningkatkan kemampuan karyawan dalam mendefinisikan masalah spesifik dan menyiapkan solusinya; 2. Memfasilitasi peserta tentang konsep dan praktik design thinking (5 phase). Pelatihan berlangsung selama 2 hari dengan menggunakan metode ceramah, diskusi interaktif, brainstorming dan simulasi diikuti 12 peserta yang merupakan manajerial level menengah di Kalla Group. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa seluruh peserta sangat antusias mengikuti dari awal hingga akhir dan menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan tersebut sangat kontekstual untuk diterapkan di masing-masing unit kerja.ABSTRACTThe objectives of implementing community service activities in the form of design thinking and innovation training for  representatives of Kalla Group employees are: 1. Improving the ability of employees to define specific problems and prepare solutions; 2. Facilitating participants about the concept and practice of design thinking (5 phases). The training conducted in lecturing methods, interactive discussions, brainstorming and simulations was attended by 12 participants who are middle-level managers in Kalla Group. The results showed that all participants were very enthusiastic about participating from the beginning to the end and showed that the training was very contextual to be applied in each work unit.

Abstract

Introduction/Main Objectives: Paternalistic leadership as a unique leadership behavior has received the attention of researchers from various countries. The application of effective paternalistic leadership occurs in high power-distance and collectivistic cultures.  Background Problems: Most studies examine the influence of paternalistic leadership at the dimensional level. In addition, the issue in paternalistic leadership research is directed to review the presence of paternalistic leadership on members’ attitudes. Novelty: First, this study is aimed at testing the united dimensions of paternalistic leadership. Second, this study focuses on the psychological mechanisms underlying the impact of paternalistic leadership on individual tasks and contextual performance. Third, this study adopts social exchange theory and affective events theory to review the role of paternalistic leadership. Research Methods: Using a statistical test of mediating process with the approach of the causal chain. This research was carried out in the context of organizations in various sectors.  Finding/Results: Firstly, paternalistic leadership is present in varied organizations. Secondly, paternalistic leadership significantly influences individual tasks and contextual performance. Moreover, the findings reveal that trust in leadership enables to explain the relationship between paternalistic leadership and individual tasks and contextual performance.

Abstract

Bilik disenfektan dirancang berbentuk persegi panjang dengan rangka besi ukuran ¾ yang disambungkan dengan Fitting pipa paralon. Bilik juga dikelelingi selang sprayer yang berfungsi untuk menyemprotkan air disenfektan secara otomatis ketika orang memasuki bilik tersebut. Peneliti merancang bilik dengan penggunaan sensor Ultrasonic dengan tujuan sensor dapat menyemprot secara otomatis jika ada orang yang melintas di dalam bilik. Sensor disetting dengan 3 detik untuk menyemprot. Namun pada pembuatan bilik ini memiliki kekurangan seperti bilik harus terkoneksi dengan listrik karena mesin pompa dan alat ardiuno disetting menjadi satu paket sehingga memerlukan listrik sebagai komponen pendukung yang paling utama. Letak rumah sakit Masyita berada di tengah kota Makassar sehingga membuat lalu lintas menimbulkan getaran yang menjadikan bilik dapat menyemprotkan cairan secara otomatis. Hal ini dikarenakan sensor getar yang dipasang rusak disaat pembawaan bilik ke lokasi Pengabdian. Pada pembuatan bilik disenfektan beberapa kendala yang dialami peneliti yakni sulitnya pembelian alat sensor yang dibutuhkan karena pandemic. Peneliti melakukan dengan membeli cera online namun hal tersebut terkadang alat yang sampai tujuan tidak sempurna. Seperti sensor ultrasonic yang tidak bekerja dengan baik.

Abstract

During the pandemic, all activities require people to work from home and reduce interactions outside in home. This situation lasted a year. The filed of education, Indonesia does not carry out lectures offline or face to face. Many students feel bored in online lectures. It is not uncommon for students complain about the many assignments from the lecture. Pandemic period is recovering. Not many universities in Indonesia hold lecture offline. There are many consideration for students and even parents to support offline lecture. The sense of anxiety that exists in the minds of students to carry out offline lectures. Based on the results of the ranking 50 respondents who werw carried out randomly, was obtained from the highest vectoe value which became altenative choice of conclusions. The results show that A5 has the highest ranking vector to others. Totally 1.71 students don’t agree to do online lecture after pandemic.

Abstract

Desa Sudirman adalah sebuah kawasan berkembang di Kecamatan Tanralili, Kabupaten Maros. Kehadiran Bumdes Dinaril sebagai badan usaha yang dikelola oleh desa sejak tahun 2017 mencoba menggerakkan sektor ekonomi kreatif melalui kegiatan membatik ecoprinting yang dijalankan oleh ibu-ibu desa dan pemberdayaan jamur tiram. Pandemi Covid 19 mematikan sentra usaha ini, Berdasarkan analisis potensi masalah yang dilakukan, tingkat kunjungan ke desa berkurang dan beberapa produk kreatif hanya tersimpan di etalase karena pameran dan penjualan langsung menjadi terhambat. Pemerintah desa harus segera “wake up” dan melakukan inovasi agar dapat bangkit segera dari kondisi tersebut. Perlu dukungan pelatihan manajemen pengelolaan yang lebih profesional namun tetap kekinian. Pengurus Bumdes dan masyarakat perlu didampingi dalam peningkatan kapasitas seperti marketing, penyusunan video profil & foto produk, literasi keuangan hingga katalog branding di sosial media. Di samping itu, motivasi dan peningkatan kapasitas SDM pengelola Bumdes juga penting diperhatikan. Oleh karena itu, melalui kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat terpadu Institut Teknologi dan Bisnis Kalla memberikan pelatihan yang dirancang untuk mendorong semangat kewirausahaan serta menginspirasi anak muda dan aparat desa untuk dapat membangun potensi desanya menjadi lebih tangguh di masa pandemic COVID 19. Sudirman Village is a developing area in Tanralili District, Maros Regency. The presence of Bumdes Dinaril as a business entity managed by the village since 2017 tries to move the creative economy sector through ecoprinting batik activities run by village women and empowerment of oyster mushrooms. The Covid-19 pandemic has killed this business center. Based on the analysis of potential problems carried out, the number of visits to the village has decreased and some creative products are only stored in the storefront because exhibitions and direct sales are hampered. The village government must immediately "wake up" and innovate in order to get up immediately from this condition. Need support for management training that is more professional but still up-to-date. Bumdes management and the community need to be assisted in capacity building such as marketing, compiling profile videos & product photos, financial literacy to branding catalogs on social media. Besides that, it is also important to pay attention to the motivation and capacity building of the Bumdes managers. Therefore, through integrated community service activities, the Kalla Institute of Technology and Business provides training designed to encourage the entrepreneurial spirit and inspire young people and village officials to be able to build the potential of their villages to be more resilient during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Change is an absolute phenomenon that we encounter in the era of industrial revolution 4.0. The Covid-19 pandemic accelerates its escalation. Companies are required to have the speed to make changes, innovate to continue to survive. This study tries to identify the impact of Covid-19 on performance. Researchers also include K3 as a moderating relationship between Covid-19 and performance, in the sense that companies implementing K3 in accordance with WHO standards related to Covid-19 will reduce the transmission of Covid-19, affecting performance. This research is divided into 2 stages, literature review, and explanatory quantitative approach. Primary data is the type used in this study, which is obtained directly from companies and respondents. Companies that are the object of this research are companies operating in the Makassar city from various industries. Companies are selected based on the application of K3 in the work environment. Data collection was carried out using a survey method using a questionnaire. The data obtained from the respondents were processed using a structural equation model (SEM) with a partial least squares (PLS). The majority of respondents own participation in national scale companies (single country) as much as 75% and 25%, respectively. Measurement of validity and reliability shows results that meet the category. The test results show an R-square value of 0.644 or 64.4% which can be categorized as having a moderate model. Hypothesis 1 The positive influence of the Covid-19 impact on company performance is supported. The impact of covid19 on company performance can be strengthened or weakened by the implementation of K3. In practice, this research contributes to the company's understanding of how influential Covid-19 is on company performance. In theory, this research contributes to the gaps in the understanding of researchers related to the covid19 pandemic, this study also confirms that the covid19 pandemic has a very large influence on the company's performance in general in terms of reducing productivity, quality and can cause costs to be incurred by the company. Pandemi Covid-19 mempercepat eskalasinya, perusahaan dituntut memiliki kecepatan melakukan perubahan, berinovasi untuk terus bertahan. Penelitian ini mencoba mengidentifikasi dampak Covid-19 terhadap kinerja. Peneliti juga memasukkan K3 sebagai moderasi hubungan antara Covid-19 dan kinerja, dalam artian bahwa perusahaan menerapkan K3 yang sesuai dengan standar WHO terkait covid-19 akan mengurangi penularan covid-19 mempengaruhi kinerja. Penelitian ini dibagi ke dalam 2 tahap, telaah pustaka dan pendekatan kuantitatif jenis eksplanatoris. Data primer adalah jenis yang digunakan pada penelitian ini, di mana diperoleh secara langsung dari perusahaan dan responden. Perusahaan yang menjadi objek penelitian ini adalah perusahaan yang beroperasi di kota Makassar dari berbagai industri. Perusahaan dipilih berdasarkan penerapan K3 dilingkungan kerja. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode survei dengan menggunakan alat bantu kuesioner. Data yang diperoleh dari responden diolah menggunakan strutural equation model (SEM) with a partial least squares (PLS) partisipasi responden mayoritas memiliki perusahaan skala nasional (Single country) sebanyak 75% dan 25%. Pengukuran validitas dan reliabilitas menunjukkan hasil yang memenuhi kategori. Hasil uji menunjukkan nilai R-square sebesar 0,644 atau 64,4% yang dapat dikategorikan memiliki model yang moderat. hipotesis 1 pengaruh positif dampak covid19 terhadap performa perusahaan didukung. pengaruh dampak covid19 terhadap performa perusahaan dapat diperkuat atau diperlemah oleh penerapan K3. Secara prektek penelitiian ini memberikan kontribusi bagi perusahaan tentang seberapa berpengaruh covid19 terhadap performa perusahaan. Secara teori penelitian ini berkontribusi terhadap celah pemahaman para peneliti terkait pandemi covid19, penelitian ini juga mengkonfirmasi bahwa pandemi covid19 memiliki pengaruh yang sangat besar secara umum terhadap performa perusahaan dalam hal menurunkan produktifitas, kualitas dan dapat menimbulkan biaya yang harus dikeluarkan oleh perusahaan. Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that influence purchasing decisions through the use of the paylater feature. This study uses the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use Technology (UTAUT) with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The research data was obtained by distributing questionnaires to students who were studying in Makassar City. The total number of respondents in this study was 46 people. Data analysis techniques used by researchers, namely testing the measurement model and testing the structural model. The results of testing the research data found that performance expectations, effort expectations, and price values do not have a significant influence on purchasing decisions using the paylater feature. The variables of social influence, supporting facilities, hedonic motivation, and habits have a significant effect on purchasing decisions using the paylater feature.
