Abstract

With the demands of professionals, the study reports that there is a great deal of anxiety that arises in real teaching. As an effort to reduce the teaching anxiety, this study explores the level of teaching anxiety faced by student teachers in implementing real teaching as well as factors that can trigger the emergence of anxiety. This research was conducted quantitatively by applying the survey as the research strategy. The Student Teacher Anxiety Scale (STAS) found by Hart (1987) became a research instrument with language modification performed. 238 student teachers of Multidiciplinary Education Study Program (ESP) at one of the Private University in Indonesia who will carry out real teaching are involved as research respondents. The respondents consist of 6 different ESP. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that the level of teaching anxiety faced by student teachers of multidiciplinary ESP in carrying out real teaching activities is at a high level with an average of 3.69. The level of anxiety experienced by student teachers of each ESP are as follows: Primary School Teacher (3.89), Mathematics (3.74), English Language (3.48), Indonesian Language (3.47) are at a high level. While the level of teaching anxiety of student teachers of Biology ESP (3.35) and Economic ESP (3.26) are at the normal level. Meanwhile, the most influencing factor causing the teaching anxiety were teaching preparation (3.86), teaching evaluation (3.73), class control (3.71), school staff (3.58), and failure in teaching (3, 58). With the anxiety that arises, good communication is the initial solution that can be done so that real teaching activities get better. Finally, real teaching will be more useful when the anxiety that arises is considered as a stimulation so that students can carry out better real teaching activities.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar Trigonometri berbasis Kontekstual melalui metode Guided Discovery untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep mahasiswa pendidikan matematika Universitas Kuningan. Metode dalam penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan tahapan pengembangan mengacu pada model Procedural Borg and Gall yang terdiri dari tiga tahap yaitu analisis, pengembangan, dan uji coba untuk pematangan bahan ajar. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa tingkat 1 semester 2 program studi pendidikan matematika Universitas Kuningan tahun akademik 2015/2016. Pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar validasi bahan ajar, skala sikap mahasiswa, lembar observasi aktivitas mahasiswa, dan seperangkat tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa telah dihasilkan bahan ajar Trigonometri berbasis Kontekstual melalui metode Guided Discovery. Bahan ajar dikembangkan dengan tiga tahapan pengembangan yaitu tahap analisis meliputi analisis kurikulum, analisis kebutuhan mahasiswa dan dosen, serta analisis karakteristik mahasiswa. Tahap selanjutnya adalah tahap pengembangan yang meliputi pengembangan bahan ajar dilanjutkan dengan penyusunan instrumen penelitian serta validasi bahan ajar. Tahap berikutnya adalah uji coba untuk pematangan bahan ajar. Pada tahap ini diketahui kualitas bahan ajar yaitu berdasarkan penilaian validator tergolong kategori baik dengan persentase keidealan 74,54%. Berdasarkan uji statistik diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa hasil uji coba bahan ajar yang dikembangkan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep mahasiswa diperoleh dari nilai gain 0,36 yang tergolong kategori peningkatan sedang. Uji statistik didukung oleh hasil observasi sebesar 80% dan angket dengan rata-rata persentase sebesar 86,7%. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh kesimpulan bahan ajar trigonometri berbasis kontekstual melalui Guided Discovery untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep yang dikembangkan sudah memenuhi kriteria valid dan praktis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika realistik Indonesia yang efektif dengan perangkat yang valid dan praktis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan 3-D Thiagarajan, dkk yang terdiri dari define, design, dan develop. Penelitian ini menggunakan tiga sampel kelas yang dipilih secara acak, yaitu kelas ujicoba soal TKKM, satu kelas sebagai kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model PMRI, dan satu kelas sebagai kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model pembelajaran ekspositori. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Analisa data untuk menilai kevalidan perangkat pembelajaran dilakukan oleh 3 validator menggunakan instrumen lembar validasi perangkat pembelajaran. Kepraktisan perangkat dinilai menggunakan lembar angket respons mahasiswa, dan lembar pengamatan kemampuan dosen mengelola pembelajaran. Keefektifan dinilai berdasarkan analisis hasil tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang diuji menggunakan uji proporsi, uji gain, dan uji-t, sedangkan uji regresi digunakan untuk mengetahui pengaruh aktivitas dan motivasi terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa: (1) hasil pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran matematika realistik Indonesia dalam meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis memenuhi kriteria valid; (2) hasil pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran matematika realistik Indonesia dalam meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis memenuhi kriteria praktis; (3) pembelajaran matematika realistik Indonesia efektif dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis.

Abstract

Implementasi kurikulum Merdeka Belajar pada satuan pendidikan menuntut tenaga pendidik untuk mampu memahami konsep dan pelaksanaan kurikulum Merdeka Belajar. Salah satu asesmen yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah dalam mengevaluasi dan memberikan tindak lanjut dari hasil evaluasi adalah dengan adanya Asesmen Nasional Berbasis Komputer (ANBK). Pada pelaksanaan ANBK terdapat Asesmen Kompetensi Minimum (AKM), AKM ini mengukur kemampuan peserta didik dalam kompetensi literasi numerasi. Dalam upaya mendukung suksesnya pelaksanaan AKM tersbut, maka perlu diadakan pelatihan pengembangan soal Asesmen Kompetensi Minimum berbasis literasi numerasi kepada tenaga pendidik. Dengan mengenalkan dan menerapkan soal-soal tersebut dalam pembelajaran di kelas diharapkan peserta didik akan lebih siap dan terbiasa dalam mengerjakan soal berbasis literasi numerasi. Target luaran dalam kegiatan ini adalah dihasilkannya satu buah artikel yang akan diterbitkan pada jurnal nasional dan dihasilkannya soal-soal AKM. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk pemberian pelatihan kepada tenaga pendidik pada Kelompok Kerja Madrasah Aliyah 3 Kabupaten Cirebon. Kegiatan dilaksanakan selama 3 hari yaitu pada tanggal 22, 23 dan 24 September 2022. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah telah dihasilkan soal Asesmen Kompetensi Minimum berbasis literasi numerasi pada mata pelajaran matematika. Evaluasi yang dilakukan dalam bentuk tugas berupa pembuatan soal-soal AKM.

Abstract

Students' ability to solve mathematical adaptive reasoning problems is still relatively low. As a result, students have difficulty in solving mathematical adaptive reasoning problems. The cause of the low mathematical adaptive reasoning ability of students is the lack of learning tools that facilitate mathematical adaptive reasoning ability. Therefore, a Collaborative Problem Solving-based tool was developed that can stimulate an active learning process, motivate students and improve mathematical adaptive reasoning skills. This research is a development research using the Plomp development model. The products developed are lesson plans and worksheets based on Collaborative Problem Solving for class VIII junior high school statistics material. The purpose of this research is to produce Collaborative Problem Solving-based tools that are valid, practical, and effective on the mathematical adaptive reasoning skills of grade VIII junior high school students. The results showed that the learning tools in the form of lesson plans and LKS based on Collaborative Problem Solving for students in grade VIII junior high school were valid, practical, and effective. The results of the validation of the learning tools developed are very valid, adjusting 5 indicators of mathematical adaptive reasoning skills seen from the aspects of making conjectures, providing reasons for the answers given, drawing conclusions from a statement, checking the validity of an argument, and finding patterns from a mathematical problem. The results of the practicality of learning devices are very practical in terms of ease of use, suitability of time allocation, attractiveness and usefulness. Furthermore, it is said to be effective because it has an impact on students' mathematical adaptive reasoning ability of 82.70% with a very good category.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an electronic student worksheet (e-worksheet) using flipbook media to enhance students’ mathematical problem-solving skills, focusing on the topic of circles through differentiated learning strategies. The instructional content was designed to accommodate diverse learning preferences auditory, kinesthetic, and visual, as well as various levels of prior academic achievement (high, medium, and low). This study involved 35 grade XI-3 students at a high school in Kuningan Regency. Data collection included validation from subject matter and media experts, practicality evaluations by teachers and students, and analysis of students’ pre-test and post-test scores. Subject expert validation yielded a 90% approval rate, while media experts rated it at 86%. Practicality assessments showed 93% from teachers and 88% from students. The average N-Gain score was 0.79, indicating a high level of learning improvement. The conclusion of this study regarding the development of flipbook-based e-worksheet is stated to be valid, practical, and effective in improving students' mathematical problem-solving skills. This study contributes to encouraging differentiated learning practices through interesting digital devices, increasing insight and skills regarding appropriate or good and interesting worksheet for use by students, and supporting the development of adaptive learning media according to student needs, curriculum, and technological developments.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop interactive E-Module based teaching materials that are valid and easy to use to improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts. This research is included in the development research category which follows the Plomp model which consists of four steps, namely (1) preliminary research; (2) prototype stage (prototyping stage); (3) assessment stage and (4) systematic documentation stage. The instruments used in this research include validity test questionnaires, practicality test questionnaires, and tests. Product validity was evaluated by material experts with results reaching 82.3% (very valid), design experts gave an assessment of 94.2% (very valid), and language experts gave an assessment of 77.5% (valid). The practicality of this product is well proven, as was found in the practicality test, teacher responses reached 95% (very good), and the overall student response practicality test reached 90.6% (very good). Interactive e-modules have proven successful in facilitating understanding of mathematical concepts, demonstrated by a high level of concept understanding of 90%. Thus, it can be concluded that the interactive E-Module based teaching materials developed are valid and practical in helping students understand mathematical concepts

Abstract

Learning mathematics is often perceived as difficult, partly because instructional approaches often lack real-life relevance and do not adequately address the diverse needs and abilities of students, creating a gap in effective learning practices. This study aims to develop website-assisted mathematics learning media using the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach for the topic of Three Variable Linear Equation System (SPLTV), intended to improve students’ mathematical connection skills. The media was created using Google Sites with a content differentiation strategy, adjusting material presentation based on students’ ability levels for more effective and meaningful learning. This Research and Development (R&D) study employed the Plomp model, consisting of three stages: introduction, development, and assessment. The research subjects were 24 tenth-grade students in the Industrial Electronics Engineering program at SMK Auto Matsuda. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, and pretest–posttest assessments, using instruments such as interview sheets, expert validation forms, practicality questionnaires, and mathematical connection tests. Validation results showed the media was highly valid, receiving scores of 91.1% from material experts and 85% from media experts. The test instrument was also proven valid and reliable (reliability = 0.89). Practicality scores indicated very good responses from teachers (90.2%) and students (94.58%). The media's effectiveness was demonstrated by a pretest score increase from 33.85 to 84.94 on the posttest, with an N-Gain of 0.78 (high category). These findings indicate that the developed media is not only feasible for classroom implementation but also holds strong potential for broader adoption through offline or mobile applications.

Abstract

ABSTRAKKondisi literasi numerasi yang ada di desa Lebakardin Purwawinangun yaitu kurangnya anak dalam berliterasi dan numerasi, mereka lebih menyukai bermain game online/gadget daripada belajar di rumah dan juga sedikit menyukai belajar matematika (numerasi). Penyebab kurangnya anak belajar numerasi di rumah yaitu orang tua tidak peduli atau tidak mendampingi anak ketika belajar dan setiap pulang dari kerja orang tua sangat jarang menanyakan tugas sekolah anak. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat bertujuan: 1) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi numerasi anak usia sekolah dasar; 2) untuk mengurangi kecanduan anak-anak usia sekolah dasar dalam bermain game online; 3) untuk membantu orang tua lebih memperhatikan anak-anaknya dalam belajar numerasi (matematika) di kelurahan Purwawinangun Kuningan. Bentuk kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan dengan membuat bimbingan belajar matematika (numerasi). Subjek pengabdian adalah anak-anak usia sekolah dasar dan orang tua berjumlah 15 orang. Pelaksanaan kegiatan melalui beberapa tahapan yaitu perencanaan, observasi, penentuan teknis pelaksanaan, pelaksanaan program dan evaluasi. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat yang diperoleh telah berhasil: 1) meningkatkan kemampuan literasi numerasi anak usia sekolah dasar; 2) mengurangi kecanduan anak-anak usia sekolah dasar dalam bermain game online; 3) membantu orang tua lebih memperhatikan anak-anaknya dalam belajar numerasi (matematika). Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Numerasi; PendampinganABSTRACTThe condition of numeracy literacy in Lebakardin Purwawinangun village is that children rarely do literacy and numeracy activities, they prefer playing online games/gadgets rather than studying at home and they also don't like studying mathematics (numeracy). The reason for the lack of children learning numeracy at home is that parents don't care or don't accompany their children when studying and every time they come home from work parents rarely ask about their children's school assignments. The community service program aims to: 1) improve the literacy and numeracy ability of elementary school-age children; 2) reduce the addiction of elementary school-aged children to playing online games; and 3) help parents pay more attention to their children's learning of numeracy (mathematics)  in Purwawinangun Kuningan village. Formal community service activities are carried out by making tutoring in learning mathematics (numeracy). The subjects of service were 15 elementary school-age children and the parents. Activities are carried out in stages, including planning, observation, technical implementation, program implementation, and evaluation. The results of community service obtained have succeeded in: 1) improving the numeracy literacy abilities of elementary school-aged children; 2) reducing the addiction of elementary school-aged children to playing online games; and 3) helping parents pay more attention to their children's learning of numeracy (mathematics) in Purwawinangun Kuningan village. Keywords: Numeracy literacy; Mentoring

Abstract

This study addresses the challenges in the learning process, particularly the reliance on textbooks and limited instructional materials, leading to low mathematical conceptual understanding among students, especially in arithmetic sequences and series. To tackle this issue, an interactive flipbook-based e-module was developed to enhance students’ conceptual understanding. The aim of this study is to create valid, practical, and effective teaching materials in the form of this e-module. Using the ADDIE development model, the research comprises five phases: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data analysis techniques include tests for validity, practicality, and improvements in conceptual understanding. Validity analysis yielded scores of 92.36% from media experts and 87.84% from content experts, both classified as “very valid.” Practicality analysis resulted in a score of 78.33% from teacher responses (categorized as “practical”) and 81.56% from student responses (categorized as “very practical”). The e-module successfully enhances conceptual understanding, with average pretest and posttest scores of 16.91 and 23.04, respectively. N-Gain analysis indicates an average N-Gain score of 0.88, classified as “high.” In conclusion, the developed interactive flipbook-based e-module is valid, practical, and effective in improving students' mathematical conceptual understanding.
