Abstract

This  study  focused  on  the  relationship  between job  demands withworkplace well-being on shift workers  in  a  company  engaged  inmanufacturing  plastic  packaging  production.  Previous  research  has  not much  to  explain  the  relationship  between  two  variables,  especially  in Indonesia,  and  its  application  in shift workers. Workplace well-being is defined as a sense of prosperity gained workers from their jobs, as measured through  the Workplace Well-being Index  (WWBI)  (Page,  2005). Job demands,  which  is  explained  by  the  type  of quantitative  demands in  this study, is defined as something that relates directly to the amount of work to be done and a major source of stress (Kristensen, Bjorner, Christensen, & Borg, 2004), as measured by quantitative questionnaires job demands in the Indonesian Quality of Work Life Questionnaire (IQWiQ) (Radikun, 2010). The  sample  in  this  study  included  155 shift workers  using  accidentalsampling. The analysis showed that there was a Significant  negative  relationship  between job  demands with workplace well-being on shift workers (r = -0221, p <0.05, one-tailed). From the  research,  companies  are  advised  to  review  the  current  number  of workers with production targets that must be produced, an appreciation ofthe performance of workers and wages.

Abstract

Pekerja sosial dihadapkan pada kondisi kerja yang tidak mudah dalam melaksanakan praktik pekerjaan sosial pada masa pandemi COVID-19. Tingginya kebutuhan masyarakat akan layanan sosial serta perubahan yang terjadi pada praktik pelayanan sosial mengharuskan pekerja sosial untuk responsif dan adaptif sehingga dapat berkontribusi dengan baik di dalam masyarakat. Strategi pekerja sosial untuk mengelola pekerjaannya sehingga mampu beradaptasi dengan perubahan yang terjadi dapat dilakukan melalui penerapan job crafting. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan ulasan dan gambaran peran job crafting sebagai salah satu upaya bagi pekerja sosial terutama ketika harus dihadapkan pada tuntutan pekerjaan yang semakin tinggi karena adanya pandemi COVID-19. Penulis melakukan kajian terhadap berbagai literatur ilmiah yang terkait dengan job crafting. Selain itu, penulis juga menggunakan sumber data berasal dari survei awal yang dibagikan kepada 103 pekerja sosial mengenai kondisi pekerjaan dan tuntutan pekerjaan selama pandemi COVID-19. Berdasarkan hasil kajian dari beberapa literatur dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya intervensi job crafting pada pekerja sosial yang berupa pelatihan dan peningkatan keterampilan merupakan upaya yang bermanfaat dan berdampak positif bagi pekerja terutama di bidang pelayanan.

Abstract

Karyawan terlibat dalam proses pengambilan keputusan etis untuk memecahkan dilema etis dalam pelaksanaan tugasnya di tempat kerja. Perilaku pengambilan keputusan etis karyawan dapat diprediksi oleh seberapa besar niatnya. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi faktor yang paling berperan terhadap niat pengambilan keputusan etis dari perspektif Teori Perilaku Terencana. Survei dilakukan pada 250 orang Karyawan di Perusahaan X. Diperoleh hasil bahwa sikap merupakan faktor utama yang memperbesar niat untuk mengambil keputusan secara etis. Dengan demikian perusahaan dapat memperkuat niat karyawan untuk mengambil keputusan secara etis, dengan jalan memberi pemahaman tentang pengambilan keputusan etis agar sikap karyawan menjadi semakin positif terhadap pengambilan keputusan secara etis.

Abstract

Industri manufaktur merupakan salah satu industri yang memberikan kontribusi terbesar dalam pertumbuhan ekonomi Indonesia. Namun, tingkat pindah kerja yang dimiliki sektor manufaktur tergolong tinggi, termasuk pada industri manufaktur garmen yang perilaku pindah kerjanya banyak didominasi oleh karyawan dari generasi Milenial. Oleh sebab itu, peneliti ingin mengetahui pengaruh tuntutan kerja dan dukungan sosial terhadap niat pindah kerja yang dimediasi oleh kepuasan kerja. Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 103 karyawan Milenial yang bekerja di salah satu industri Garmen di Jawa Tengah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan uji analisis mediasi dengan CI sebesar 95% menggunakan program macro PROCESS versi 4.0, oleh Andrew Hayes yang dilakukan dalam SPSS versi 26.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hanya kepuasan kerja yang memediasi pengaruh dari dukungan sosial terhadap niat pindah kerja dengan nilai a*b: -0.73 (CI .95: -1.15 – -0.33). Artinya, terdapat pengaruh dukungan sosial terhadap niat pindah kerja yang dimediasi oleh kepuasan kerja.

Abstract

Health workers are jobs that have a heavy burden. Long and uncertainty of working hours, patients with various characteristics with various diseases causing health workers to tend to have high levels of burnout. The purpose of this study is to aim to see the role of job control and coping strategies as a moderator in the relationship between emotional work demands and burnout. This research is a cross-sectional quantitative study which has a sample of 142 health workers. This study uses instruments from Oldenburg Burnout Inventory, Copenhagen Psychosocial Questionnaire II (COPSOQ II), Copenhagen Psychosocial Questionnaire and Brief COPE Inventory (Coping Orientation to Problems Experienced). Data processing uses process macro moderation analysis by Andrew F. Hayes through the SPSS Program. The results of the study show there are moderation effects of job control and coping strategies on emotional job demands and different dimensions of burnout. Job control as job resources moderates emotional job demands and the exhaustion dimension of burnout. While coping strategies as personal resources between emotional job demands and the burnout dimension of disengagement. Health workers can use their job control to overcome the emotional work demands experienced by health workers. Other than that, health workers can also be given activities or programs that can improve their coping skills, either those that focus on behavior or those that focus on emotions. This study might be implicating on health workers’s well-being from the findings, that job resources and personal resources could decrease the burnout level on health workers.

Abstract

Women's participation in the Indonesian labor market reached 48.65% by 2022, indicating an increase over the last decade. Women's participation in the labor market, especially working mothers, raises new challenges, such as long working hours, as they are responsible for caring for household and office work that puts them at risk of burnout. Therefore, the study investigates the role of moderation of social support in the relationship between quantitative demands and burnout among working mothers. The study used a sample of 148 participants in Indonesia with the characteristics of married women employees aged 21-55 who had children and worked at least six months at the company. The work background and company background are not limited to the participant sample. This study used the Oldenburg Burnout Inventory (OLBI) as a burnout measurement tool, the Copenhagen Psychosocial Questionnaire (COPSOQ) as a workplace support and quantitative labor demands measuring tool, and the Family Support Scale as a family support measure. Data analysis using the macro process Hayes model 1 moderation regression in the SPSS program showed that social support has a significant moderation effect of social support on the relationship between quantitative labor demands and burnout in hybrid working mothers or WFH. Hybrid or WFH mothers have a lower risk of burnout when getting higher social support. Therefore, it is important to have support from the workplace, both from the superior and colleagues and from family and close relatives.

The study results show that job control moderates emotional job demands and the exhaustion dimension of burnout. Meanwhile, coping strategies, problem-focused or emotion-focused coping moderates between emotional job demands and the burnout dimension of disengagement. The workplace of health workers can provide job control by the position and work of the workers, which are still within the limits of their authority and responsibility. Health workers can also be given activities or programs that can improve their coping skills, either those that focus on behavior or those that focus on emotions.

Abstract

Fenomena penyederhanaan birokrasi di instansi pemerintahan menjadi suatu bentuk perubahan organisasi yang menarik untuk diteliti lebih lanjut. Untuk menghadapi dampak penyederhanaan birokrasi, Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PNS) perlu melakukan job crafting yang akan menjadi lebih efektif bila didukung dengan occupational self-efficacy (OSE). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran OSE sebagai moderator pada hubungan antara persepsi dampak perubahan organisasi dan job crafting. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 304 PNS yang bekerja di instansi pemerintahan yang terdampak penyederhanaan birokrasi. Persepsi diukur menggunakan Perceived Impact of Change Scale, OSE diukur menggunakan OSE Scale – Short Form, dan Job Crafting diukur menggunakan Job Crafting Scale. Hasil analisis moderasi menunjukan bahwa OSE secara signifikan memoderasi hubungan antara perceived impact of change dengan salah satu dimensi job crafting, yaitu meningkatkan sumber daya kerja sosial. Hasil penelitian ini dapat memberikan gambaran kepada instansi pemerintahan bahwa OSE yang tinggi serta perilaku meningkatkan sumber daya kerja sosial merupakan faktor penting bagi PNS dalam menghadapi dampak dari perubahan organisasi.

Abstract

Background: The increase in the number of layoffs and periods of recession gave rise to an interesting phenomenon, namely overqualification of employees. Most research on overqualification and perceived overqualification (POQ) so far was conducted to look for negative impacts and was carried out in developed countries.Purpose: This study aims to explore the non-linear relationship and positive influence of POQ on job crafting, as well as the role of psychological capital and work autonomy in strengthening this relationship. Method: Data was collected from 217 employees with tenure ranging from 1 to 5 years, occupying positions at or below the supervisory level.Findings: The result of the main hypothesis showed that POQ has a U-shaped relationship with job crafting, which indicates that there is an optimal POQ level that can increase an employee’s job crafting. The research results also showed that high psychological capital in employees is able to moderate the relationship between POQ and job crafting, thus strengthening the relationship between the two. Work autonomy was found could not moderate the relationship between the two.Implication: It is expected that the results of this research can help companies overcome the negative impact of POQ and instead benefit from the positive impact.
