Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk (1) mendeskripsikan penerapan strategi pair check terhadap kemampuan menulis narasi pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Palakka Kabupaten Bone; dan (2) membuktikan keefektifan strategi pair check terhadap kemampuan menulis narasi pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Palakka Kabupaten Bone. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dan sampel penelitian sebanyak 46 orang siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Palakka Kabupaten Bone yang terdiri atas siswa kelas VIIIA sebanyak 23 orang siswa dan kelas VIIIC sebanyak 23 orang siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan pretes dan postes terhadap dua kelas yang diberi perlakuan berbeda. Kelas eksperimen adalah siswa kelas VIIIA SMP Negeri 1 Palakka Kabupaten Bone kelas eksperimen menggunakan penerapan strategi Pair Check dan siswa kelas VIIIC sebagai kelas kontrol menggunakan pembelajaran metode konvensional. Analisis data menggunakan Analisis Statistik Deskriptif dan Statistik Inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Efektivitas Penerapan Strategi Pair Cheks terhadap Kemampuan`Menulis Narasi pada Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Palakka Kabupaten Bone berada pada kategori tinggi dengan nilai rata-rata siswa kelas eksprimen pada pretes dan postes berturut-turut adalah 71 dan 84. Nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh siswa pada kelas kontrol, untuk pretes yaitu 58 dan untuk postes yaitu 65. Kedua nilai ini berada pada kategori sedang. Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara efektivitas penerapan strategi Pair Check terhadap kemampuan menulis narasi pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Palakka Kabupaten Bone dengan pembelajaran kemampuan menulis narasi dengan menggunakan metode konvensional.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the Balinese Nyurat Lontar explored by students in the Nusantara Module course of the Independent Student Exchange program at Ganesha University of Education. This research uses qualitative research. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The subjects of this research were tour guides for the Buleleng Museums and Gedong Kirtya. The research instruments used were observation, interviews and documentation. The research results show that studying Nyurat Lontar art in this program gives students a better understanding of Balinese cultural values and local wisdom and broadens their view of the richness of Indonesian art. Learning methods, intercultural interactions, and institutional support are some of the factors that greatly influence the quality of learning in this situation. These findings indicate that the integration of local arts and culture into higher education curriculum is critical to enhancing students' learning experiences and preserving the nation's cultural heritage.

Abstract

This research aims to gain a deeper understanding of the experience of culture shock and adaptation experienced by participants in the Merdek Batch 3 Student Exchange Program at Ganesha University of Education. The method used in this research is a phenomenological approach, which provides space for participants to describe their experiences in depth and subjectively. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with exchange program participants, which were then analyzed using a phenomenological approach. The results of this research show that exchange program participants experience various stages in their adaptation process, starting from the initial culture shock to finally being able to adapt to the new environment. In addition, this research also identifies factors that influence the participants' adaptation process, such as differences in language, system education, cultural values, and social differences. These findings provide valuable insight for universities and other educational institutions in providing effective support for student exchange program participants. This research is expected to provide a better understanding of the culture shock experience and adaptation of student exchange program participants, as well as provide recommendations for educational institutions to improve their exchange programs.
