Abstract

The city of Surabaya is the center of the city in East Java and is a densely populated city. City buildings, housing, shops, high-rise buildings in villages become densely packed, giving rise to air pollution problems. With the problem of air pollution, it is necessary to carry out reforestation in Surabaya, one of which is in the Sidodadi area, Sidotopo District, Surabaya. In the Sidodadi area, there is still limited vacant land but it has not been utilized properly by local residents. Seeing the potential and existing problems, lecturers at STKIP PGRI Sidoarjo and UPN Veteran Surabaya carried out community service by empowering limited land using appropriate technology in the Sidodadi sub-district community, Surabaya. The target of this activity is the community around the sub-district. The method used in this service begins with counseling about the importance of greening in urban areas and socialization of hydroponic techniques and the benefits of family medicinal plants (TOGA), then continues with independent practice of planting TOGA using hydroponic techniques on limited empty land. The result of this service activity is that the community is enthusiastic in participating in activities both during counseling and independent practice. With this activity, the people of Sidodadi Surabaya gained knowledge about hydroponic technology and were able to utilize limited land so that the Sidodadi Surabaya area became greener.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas belajar dan pengaruh model Think Pair Share terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain Pre-test Pos-test Control Group Design. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV MINU Plus Islamiyah yang terdiri dari 37 siswa kelas IV A dan 34 siswa kelas IV B. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu 18 siswa kelas IV A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 17 siswa kelas IV B sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik analisis data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini pada aktivitas belajar melalui lembar pengamatan aktivitas siswa sedangkan hasil belajar siswa diperoleh melalui pre test dan post test. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini meliputi observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan aktivitas belajar siswa memperoleh persentase 92% (sangat baik). Hasil belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen memperoleh rata-rata nilai 90,78 sedangkan pada kelas kontrol memperoleh rata-rata nilai 77,76 serta berdasarkan hasil uji-t bahwa nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar kelas eksperimen dan kontrol untuk nilai pre test dan ­post test.

Abstract

Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) should be a vehicle for students to study the natural surroundings and then apply it in everyday life so that students' learning experiences are meaningful. However, in reality, IPAS learning at UPT SD Negeri 144 Gresik is still teacher-centered and does not involve students in the teaching and learning process so that students do not understand the material, so that student learning outcomes are low. Based on the background of the problem, the researcher uses the inquiry learning method to improve student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study is an effort to improve the learning outcomes of grade II elementary school students in the subject of IPAS on energy sources. The subjects of this study were students in grade II of UPT SD Negeri 144 Gresik. The research method uses Classroom Action Research (CAR), with a CAR cycle model consisting of planning, implementing actions, observing, and reflecting. From the test results that have been conducted, the following data were obtained: The learning completion of class II students of UPT SD Negeri 144 Gresik increased by 47.56% from 40.9% (pre-cycle) to 88.46% (cycle II), and the average student learning outcomes increased by 24.23% from 58.84 (pre-cycle) to 83.07 (cycle II) after using the inquiry method. Based on the test results obtained during the study, it can be concluded that the inquiry method can improve the learning outcomes of class II students at UPT SD Negeri 144 Gresik.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran model problem based learning, aktivitas siswa, dan hasil belajar IPS materi pemanfataan sumber daya alam pada siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar setelah . Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian experiment dengan one group pretest-posttest design. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 26 siswa kelas IV SDN 2 Driyorejo. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu keterlaksanaan model problem based learning dinyatakan sangat baik dengan prosentase 88 %, aktifitas siswa tergolong aktif dengan perolehan prosentase sebesar 76 %, hasil belajar mengalami peningkatan dengan perolehan pretest rata-rata hasil belajar siswa sebesar 59,81 sedangkan pada tahap posttest terjadi peningkatan dengan nilai rata-rata menjadi 81,35. Hasil perhitungan uji T diperoleh t hitung sebesar -21,732. karena nilai thitung (-21,732) ≤ -t tabel (-2,059) yang berarti ada kontribusi penerapan model problem based learning terhadap hasil belajar IPS materi pemanfatan sumber daya alam pada siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar.
