Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic affects all areas of life, including education. The Covid-19 pandemic prompted the government to issue a distance learning policy. Online learning is one of solution to solve this problem. The objectives of this study were: (1) to compare the differences in science learning outcomes between offline learning and online learning, and (2) to determine the effectiveness of online science learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research is a quasi-experimental study using the comparative method. Science learning outcomes before the Covid-19 pandemic (offline) were compared with science learning outcomes during the Covid-19 pandemic (online). The findings of this research were (1) there were differences in students 'science learning outcomes in offline learning with students' science learning outcomes in online learning, and (2) offline science learning was more effective than online science learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of inquiry-based environmental literacy used in learning on the environmental care character of third grade students at MI Al Muhsin 1. This research method uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental research model. In this study, learning tools were developed in the form of lesson plans and STUDENT WORKSHEET. The instrument used in this research is a character questionnaire that cares about the environment. Data analysis using t-paired test. Based on the findings, the value of the environmental care character of the students after the treatment was higher than the environmental care character before the treatment. Based on the results of the Paired Sample t-Test statistical test, the significance value was 0.000 or sig. (2-tailed) 0.05. Thus it can be said that at the 95% confidence level, there is a significant difference in the value of the environmental care character of students before being given treatment and after being given treatment. Inquiry-based environmental literacy learning facilitates students to spread nature, recognize the ecosystem around where they live, understand the damage that occurs in the environment, and be creative with plastic waste.

Abstract

Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikan peningkatan mutu pembelajaran guru di era 4.0. Hal ini selaras dengan tujuan pemerintah untuk terus meningkatkan kinerja guru melalui berbagai upaya, baik melalui program pendampingan atau penerapan kurikulum nasional. Proses kerja guru berkualitas dapat memengaruhi proses belajar siswa, tingkat kelulusan, dan capaian pendidikan. Pengabdian ini menggunakan pendekatan yang menerapkan open minded. Untuk mempersiapakan itu semua, pendidik di MI AL Islam Tempel tidak cukup jika hanya fokus pada kebutuhan material semata. Guru harus fokus terhadap peningkatan kompetensi dan softskill individu dalam mengikuti perkembangan pendidikan 4.0. Pengabdian ini memberikan deskripsi tentang bagaiaman pendampingan terhadap mutu pembelajaran dan guru sangatlah penting. Pendampingan ini memberikan solusi bagi guru MIS AL-Islam Tempel untuk dapat memahami beberapa komponen dalam peningkatan mutu pembelajaran, diantaranya (1) Guru memiliki komitmen kepada peserta didik dan meningkatkan proses belajar kreatif peserta  didik. (2) Menguasai secara intens terhadap materi mata pelajaran serta metode pengajaran kepada peserta didik. (3) Bertanggung jawab mengontrol hasil belajar peserta didik melalui kegiatan evaluasi, (4) Mampu berfikir sistematis tentang apa yang dilakukan, (5) Belajar dari pengalaman tentang job, carrier, dan calling sebagai guru.

Abstract

Abstract This study explored students' views on applying the independent curriculum in natural science subject. The method used was descriptive qualitative. The sample was fourth-grade students of Islamic Elementary School (IES) Salsabila Yogyakarta, selected using a purposive sampling technique. The instruments used were questionnaires and interviews. Data analysis used an interactive model, namely the reduction stages, data presentation, and conclusion. The findings of this study indicated that the fourth-grade students of IES Salsabila Yogyakarta responded positively to natural science learning, combined with social studies, to become Natural and Social Science (NSS). NSS gives students holistic knowledge so they get complete learning, hoping to make themselves individuals with a stand-in dealing with a problem. Therefore, it is expected that the application of the independent curriculum in natural science subject can be facilitated with media that support learning. Socialization or technical guidance for educators is needed in manufacturing innovative media to make this happen.
