Abstract

Thalassemia is a blood disorder or acute anemia that cannot be cured. The role of a mother in caring for a child is the most important role, especially for a mother of a term Thaller used for thalassemia patients. In caring for a Thaller the mother will have its meaning about Thalassemia and has a business looking for treatment with certain reasons to keep her child healthy. This study relates to how the mother interpreted Thalassemia and how the mother's communication experience in carrying out her profession as a mother Thaller. The researcher used a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach to a study that wanted to gain knowledge about a mother Thaller in interpreting her profession from the results of her conscious experience. The theory used in this study is the Phenomenology theory Alferd Schutz and the Symbolic Interaction theory. With 3 informants. The results of the research on the meaning of Thalassemia according to the informants' point of view are that Thalassemia is not an obstacle in getting along and facing the general public and is not a differentiator that makes their children different from other children and makes Thalassemia a test of life that must be faced in any form. Their motive for continuing treatment for their children is that they want their children to be healthy and heal, even though in reality they cannot be cured and must continue to undergo treatment without any complaints.

Abstract

The emergence of the internet is a means of communication that makes it easier for us to communicate and interact with other users. The rise of the internet has led to the emergence of a form of communication in a medium with technology (Computer Mediated Communication). The purpose of this study is to describe how the interaction patterns carried out by twitter users who follow the menfess @areajulid account. This research is a qualitative research using Virtual Ethnography method. The results of the study found that the type of twitter user interaction pattern is a dissociative interaction pattern where this interaction pattern is an interaction process that leads to disputes between individuals and groups to achieve certain goals. In this study, dissociative interaction patterns are included in the type of social conflict where conflict is a tension that occurs between individuals or groups to cause a conflict.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the intensity advertisement’s exposure influential on interest to purchase by students. This research uses quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis with support from Individual Difference Theory. Based on advertising exposure to buying interest then the theory used Individual Difference Theory. This theory assumes that differences among individuals are targeted by the mass media when they are buffeted so as to have a certain effect. The results of this study found that the intensity of exposure to shopee advertisements affected students' buying interest in terms of language, jingles and models in advertisements. The language in the advertisement has a very high influence of 57%.Keywords: Influence, Shopee Ads Force, Buy Interest

Abstract

It is undeniable that every social environment has its own ideal beauty standards. In a social interaction, body shape is something that is often judged by a woman. This is what causes women, especially those who do not meet the ideal beauty standards in their environment, to experience body shaming, body shaming is an activity to humiliate, ridicule, and comment on a person's physical form, body shaming can trigger body shaming or feelings of shame that arise when other people's judgments and self-assessment are not in accordance with the ideal self that is set. This body shaming phenomenon makes the writer interested in conducting research on female celebrities who experience body shaming to find out the meaning of body shaming and the meaning of self from female celebrities. The author uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The theories used include Alfred Schutz's phenomenology and the theory of the construction of social reality. The results show that each informant has a different meaning, which is influenced by the social environment, family and how the informant interprets himself. The meaning of body shaming as motivation, as pressure, and as a demand. While the meaning of self, as a valuable woman, as a woman who is not worth it.

Abstract

Research on Communication Experiences in Age Difference Marriages (Phenomenological Studies in Age Difference Marriages) aims to determine the motives, meanings and experiences of communication in young marriages. This study uses the phenomenological theory of Alfred Scutz used to analyze the communication experiences of married women with their partners with large age differences. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The results of the research and discussion show that there are differences in the meaning of marriage or marriage for a wife who is married at a different age, the difference in meaning occurs based on the experiences they experience, see and feel for themselves. Then the motive of a woman to marry, of course, the most important thing is to realize the ideal marriage according to each individual and be happy, even though there is a difference between reality and expectations. In the communication experience, of course, each informant has different experiences in his household.

Abstract

Mahakan Coffee is a coffee shop in the Cisarua Puncak Bogor area. The purpose of this research is to find out how to communicate persuasively from the CEO of Mahakan Coffee to attract other people to invest in Mahakan Coffee and find out what obstacles are experienced when the persuasive communication process occurs. This journal uses a qualitative approach to determine how to find, collect, process and analyze research data. From the results of field research, it can be concluded that in the process of persuasive communication, the CEO of Mahakan Coffee approaches in several ways, namely psychodynamics by persuading people who have previously had high trust with the CEO of Mahakan Coffee, sociocultural by utilizing friendships to broaden the delivery of information and gain trust more, and finally the meaning construction CEO Mahakan Coffee provides a simple understanding without changing the meaning by making marketing sentences that aim to make it easier for the communicant to understand the meaning of this and also of course to attract more attention from the communicant.

Abstract

The implementation of personal selling strategies is a vital element in establishing effective marketing communication for SMEs, including Lavanda Brownies Karawang. This study aims to deeply analyze the application of personal selling strategies, both offline and online, and their contribution to product marketing success. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that offline personal selling strategies include product sampling, participation in bazaars, open table programs, and partnerships with resellers. These strategies foster personal relationships with consumers, enhance trust, and expand market reach. Meanwhile, online strategies leveraging platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok effectively reach a broader audience. The combination of offline and online approaches is the key to Lavanda Brownies' success in creating consumer loyalty and strengthening brand image. These findings highlight that personal selling is not merely a sales method but a business philosophy focused on customer experience. This research offers practical contributions to SMEs in developing innovative marketing communication strategies to address competitive market challenges.

Abstract

The increasing interest and awareness of Indonesian society about skincare issues drives the fulfilment of the need for right information about it. Along with this, social media influencer is one of the important communicators who fulfill the need for information about facial skincare. This study aims to find out the influence of social media influencers on tiktok @dosenskincare accounts on fulfilling facial skin care information needs based on source credibility theory. This research used quantitative methods. The data source was collected through a survey with a sample of 400 followers of the @dosenskincare tiktok account. Data analysis used simple regression with the assistance of SPSS software. The results showed that the credibility of social media influencers of the tiktok @dosenskincare account influenced the fulfilment of facial skin care information needs. This study confirms that social media influencer is an important communicator in the digital era who is a reference for information about skin care.

Abstract

Entering the world of work, one of the important steps that every individual must go through is to take part in an apprenticeship program. Training is conducted in a work environment with direct instructor guidance and supervision through an integrated training system. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The theory used in this research is Alfred Schutz's phenomenological theory. The subjects in this study amounted to four resource persons selected based on certain criteria, namely students of Singaperbangsa University of Karawang who had participated in unpaid intership activities. Data collection techniques used were in-depth interviews, observation, and literature study. The purpose of this study was to determine the motives, meanings, and communication experiences of Singaperbangsa Karawang University students participating in unpaid intership activities. The results stated that there were several motives, meanings and communication experiences known from each informant. There are two motives, the first is the cause motive, which is due to an obligation to fulfill courses and work systems and affordable scope. Second, the purpose motive is to increase self-potential. The meaning obtained is that informants think that it is okay to take part in unpaid internships as long as they know their own capacity and do not harm themselves. And the experience of participating in unpaid internship activities as a means of learning how to work, learning how to work, and learning how to work

Abstract

The ever-evolving times will influence every family for family members to become smart individuals. Therefore, many parents want to provide the best education for their children. This research uses a qualitative method with the theory used in this research, namely interpersonal communication theory. The subjects in this study amounted to five resource persons selected based on certain criteria, namely parents and sons. The data collection techniques used were in-depth interviews, observation, and literature study. The purpose of this study is to determine the application and perception of long-distance communication patterns between parents and children in maintaining harmony. The results of the study state that there are several communication patterns that are established when long distance certainly raises concerns for both children and parents. However, with adequate facilities, it is easier for parents and children to communicate quickly even though they are far away. When long-distance communication is well established, it will create family harmony.
