<![CDATA[Traditional fishermen in Sanrobone Village, Takalar Regency, face structural vulnerabilities due to low legal literacy and an unequal profit-sharing system (parombi), limiting their access to state legal protection. This community service aimed to socialize maritime law and protect traditional fishermen's rights to enhance legal literacy and institutional empowerment in coastal communities. The methods combined Participatory Action Research (PAR) and Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD). The activity was held on May 5, 2026, at the Sanrobone Village Office Hall, attended by 25 purposively selected participants. Impact measurement was conducted through pre-test and post-test, as well as participatory Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The results showed a statistically significant increase in participants' legal literacy scores, rising from an average of 17.64 (low category) to 31.72 (high category). The FGD successfully identified the root problems: the absence of written employment contracts in the parombi system and administrative barriers in ship registration (Pas Laut). Furthermore, this activity triggered the initiation of a Joint Business Group (KUB) "Nelayan Mandiri Sanrobone" as a collective legal entity. In conclusion, the participatory approach effectively transformed the fishermen's legal culture. It is recommended to enact a Village Regulation (Perdes) to protect fishermen's rights and provide integrated maritime administrative services by the local government.]]>
