Abstract

Background: The national exclusive breastfeeding rate has not yet reached the 80% target, a factor partly attributed to a lack of information from healthcare professionals. Current education is limited to basic explanations, without comprehensive guidance or counseling on breastfeeding techniques, lactation management, and how to address breastfeeding issues. As a result, mothers lack understanding of how to maintain exclusive breastfeeding and are easily hesitant when faced with difficulties. Therefore, effective health education with appropriate media is needed to increase mothers' knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding. Booklets and audiovisual media are effective media for increasing the knowledge of breastfeeding mothers because they combine important points with images, stimulate learning, appeal to many senses, and support affective, cognitive, and psychomotor aspects. Objective: To examine effective educational media to increase mothers' knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding with a combination of booklets and audiovisual media. Methods: This research aims to examine effective educational media to increase mothers' knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding with a combination of booklets and audiovisual media. This review used a systematic search of databases such as PubMed and Google Scholar, covering articles from 2020 to 2025. After screening, 13 articles (7 national and 6 international) were selected from the initial 62 articles. The search keywords were "exclusive breastfeeding," "booklets and audiovisuals," "knowledge," and "breastfeeding mothers. Result: The review of the articles presented shows that booklets and audiovisual media have an influence on increasing mothers' knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding. Based on this research can be concluded that  booklets and audiovisual media are effective in increasing knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding by delivering information in an interesting and easy-to-understand manner. Abstract

Background: Breast milk is a fluid produced by mothers as the best nutritional source for infants. A common problem faced by postpartum mothers is low milk production, and it is not uncommon for mothers to complain that they are unable to produce milk. One method to increase breast milk production is through Woolwich massage and music therapy. Woolwich massage and music therapy are effective non-pharmacological interventions for increasing breast milk production in postpartum mothers. Objective: to examine the effectiveness of Woolwich massage and relaxation music in increasing breast milk production in accordance with previous studies by reviewing several studies. Methods: this review used several sources, including a systematic search of computerized databases (Google Scholar) conducted over the last 5 years (2020-2025). Sixteen journals were obtained during the search, but after reviewing them according to the criteria and title suitability, only eight articles were used, consisting of seven national journals and one international journal. The keywords used in the search included “effectiveness of Woolwich massage”, “effectiveness of relaxation music”, and “increased breast milk production.”. Results: All studies show that Woolwich massage and music therapy are effective non-pharmacological interventions in increasing milk production in postpartum mothers. Conclusion: Woolwich massage and relaxation music have been proven effective in increasing milk production in postpartum mothers. Woolwich massage consistently shows a significant increase in milk volume and flow through the stimulation of prolactin and oxytocin, which strengthen the milk ejection reflex. Relaxation music helps reduce stress and increase comfort in mothers, thereby supporting an increase in the hormone oxytocin, which plays a role in the lactation process.

Abstract

Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) is a common problem in maternal and child health in Indonesia. Therefore, Antenatal care (ANC) is one of the right ways to accelerate the reduction in MMR so that a healthy pregnancy can be achieved, a safe birth, and the birth of a healthy, quality baby. To be able to provide an overview of the quality of service provided by health care facilities to patients, it is very necessary for medical personnel and institutions to pay attention to patient satisfaction. To analyze the relationship between the quality of antenatal care services and the level of satisfaction of pregnant women in relation to several previous studies by examining and reviewing several selected studies. This literature review is a collection of research that uses research data collection techniques whose research subjects come from various library sources. The review sources used in this literature come from Pubmed and Google Scholar which were taken over a period of the last 5 years, starting from 2019-2023. From the 15 scientific articles analyzed, it was found that overall there was a relationship between the quality of ANC services and the satisfaction of pregnant women. However, there are differences between some articles regarding whether or not there is a relationship between aspects of reliability and assurance and pregnant women's satisfaction with the quality of ANC services.
