Abstract

Background: Data Riskesdas 2013 shows that the average amount portion of vegetable consumption in people aged 10 years or older is only 0.5 portions while the vegetable consumption category is said to be "sufficient" is at least 5 portions per day for 7 days a week. Banana blossom is a vegetable and commonly found in Bangka Belitung Islands Province. Banana blossom processing as a source of vegetables rich in antioxidant compounds and chicken meat as a source of animal protein, needs to be done by processing into shredded banana blossom-chicken meat.Objectives: To determine the acceptability and antioxidant activity level of shredded banana blossom-chicken meat.Methods: This research is true experimental. Shredded banana blossom-chicken meat, made using 3 treatment, banana blossom 75%:chicken meat 25% (F1), banana blossom 50%: chicken meat 50% (F2), and banana blossom 25%:chicken meat 75% (F3). Furthermore, the acceptance of taste, colour, aroma, texture, overall, and antioxidant activity level of shredded banana blossom-chicken meat. Results: There was a significant difference in the acceptance of the colours of shredded F1, F2 and F3 (p = 0,00), while aroma, taste, texture and overall of the shredded F1, F2 and F3 were not significant (p> 0.05). Shredded F3 (banana blossom 25%: chicken meat 75%) is most preferred based on the parameters of colour, aroma, taste, texture and overall, and has the highest antioxidant activity value are 53.74%.Conclusions: Shredded banana blossom-chicken meat has a good acceptability and has a high antioxidant activity level.[AN1]

Abstract

Based Health Research (2013) reported that the prevalence of anemia in pregnant women in Indonesia about 37.1%. Iron Deficiency Anemia is a health problem associated with a high incidence and complications that may arise on the mother and fetus. The aims of this study was to determine the correlation between the intake of iron (Fe) and vitamin C with iron deficiency anemia for pregnant women in Tua Tunu, Gerunggang, Pangkalpinang in 2015. This type of research was descriptive analytic study with cross sectional design. The total samples were 30 pregnant women. Measurement of hemoglobin was done by using the Easy Touch GcHb. The intake of iron (Fe) and vitamin C obtained by the method of 24-hour food recall for 5 times on days that are not consecutive. The correlation intake of iron (Fe) and vitamin C with iron deficiency anemia status were analyzed by Pearson product moment. These results indicate that 86.7% of pregnant women were inadequate intake of iron (Fe) and there were 80% of pregnant women inadequate for vitamin C. The number of pregnant women had iron deficiency anemia about 56.7%. The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant correlation between the intake of iron (Fe) and vitamin C with iron deficiency anemia status (p value = 0.000). Based on these results, it is recommended to pregnant women to do improvement for intake of iron and vitamins C and for the prevention of iron deficiency anemia problem needs to do Monitoring for Drug Intake and the provision of Multiple Micronutrient (MM).

Abstract

Stunting is a problem of malnutrition that is still experienced by toddlers in Indonesia. According to the 2022 Indonesian Nutritional Status Study (SSGI), the prevalence of stunting in Bangka Belitung Province is highest in South Bangka Regency, which is 23%. One of the causes is the lack of knowledge and behavior of mothers in preventing stunting. The purpose of this study is to describe the knowledge and behavior of mothers in preventing stunting in toddlers in Serdang Village, South Bangka Regency. This research method uses a quantitative method with a descriptive research design which was carried out in April 2024 in the Serdang Village Area. This study involved 35 mothers who have toddlers aged 3-5 years who were selected using simple random sampling. The results of the study showed that the average age of toddlers aged 4 years was 66.9% with the most gender being female. Mothers of toddlers aged 21-64 years were 97.1% with a good knowledge category of 97.1%. All mothers have good knowledge regarding the characteristics of stunting in children with a percentage of 100%, but 40% of mothers do not know the category of healthy children assessed from their height with their age. As many as 88.6% of mothers have good behavior in preventing stunting by getting used to washing their hands before feeding their children. However, 31.4% of mothers never seek information about stunting. The conclusion of the study is that mothers' knowledge and behavior in preventing stunting are in the good category.

Abstract

Data SDKI (2017) menunjukkan masih rendahnya jumlah remaja yang mengetahui tempat memperoleh informasi kesehatan reproduksi, yaitu perempuan 10,6% dan laki-laki 5,8%. Dampaknya, remaja menjadi rentan mengalami kehamilan di usia dini, kehamilan di luar nikah, kehamilan tidak diinginkan, dan terinfeksi PMS hingga aborsi yang tidak aman. Untuk itu, peran keluarga menjadi sasaran utama dalam permasalahn remaja ini. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah membantu orang tua dalam mendampingi remaja melalui pendampingan dan pengawasan. Metode kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah menggunakan Modul Kelompok Kegiatan Bina Keluarga Remaja yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei Tahun 2025 di Kelurahan Mangasa Kota Makassar. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner pre-test dan post-test untuk menilai perubahan pegetahuan sasaran sebelum dan setelah mendapatkan edukasi. Kegiatan dilakukan selama satu hari dengan melibatkan petugas lapangan KB dan kader kesehatan diwilayah tersebut. Khalayak sasaran dalam kegiatan ini adalah orang tua remaja yang berjumlah 20 orang dengan rata-rata usia 37–55 tahun. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa edukasi perilaku berisiko pada remaja meningkatkan pengetahuan 9 skor dan terbukti secara statistik ada perbedaan yang signifikan pengetahuan orang tua remaja sebelum dan setelah mendapatkan edukasi
