Abstract

Abstract

Segara Beach and German Beach are one of the beaches located in Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali. Segara Beach and German Beach have tourist destinations such as swimming, sunbathing, seeing the scenery, and sitting back, so that local and foreign tourists can enjoy the tourist attractions at Segara Beach and German Beach. Tourism development must be based on the principle of sustainable development (Sustainable Development Goals). Tourism development has a direct impact on the environment and can reduce the sustainability of existing natural resources, therefore it is necessary to know the carrying capacity of the tourism area (DDK) and the tourism suitability index (IKW) in order for further development to be very important based on the availability of data or information about carrying capacity and suitability index and evaluation of the potential conditions of tourist attractions at Segara Beach and German Beach, so it is very urgent to do. Data collection was carried out in March-April 2024 using quantitative and qualitative descriptive methods. The data analysis method uses carrying capacity analysis and tourism suitability index by calculating the type of beach, basic water material, beach width, water depth, water clarity, current speed, beach slope, land cover, dangerous biota, and fresh water availability. Based on the results of the tourism suitability index analysis, the results obtained at stations 1, 2, and 3 were 2.9, which is included in the very suitable category with a carrying capacity for the swimming category of 980 people/day, the viewing category of 6,971 people/day, the sitting and relaxing category of 5,346 people/day, and the sunbathing category of 4,386 people/day.

Abstract

Berawa Beach is one of the destinations that can attract tourists. The potential tourist attractions of Berawa Beach are beautiful scenery, watching the sunset, taking pictures, relaxing, beach recreation. Berawa Beach is strategically located in Tibubeneng Village, Banjar Berawa, North Kuta District. To access the Berawa Beach tourist attraction, you can go via the Berawa Beach road in Banjar Berawa. Tibubeneng Village consists of 13 Banjar Dinas areas/environments and 3 Traditional Villages. Sustainable development is one strategy that can be applied to maintain environmental sustainability around Berawa Beach, which can be done through research on the Regional Carrying Capacity (DDK) and the Tourism Suitability Index (IKW), considering that both instruments have an important role in indicating the level of feasibility of an area and supporting the planning of tourist destination development. The research was conducted in October - December 2023. The data source for this research is primary data obtained from direct observation and interviews, while secondary data was obtained from literature studies. IKW analysis uses the IKW matrix of recreation categories and tourism suitability assessment classification, while interviews using questionnaires and field observations are used for the Regional Carrying Capacity (DDK). The results of the Regional Carrying Capacity for Sightseeing activities are 8,240 people/day, the Swimming category is 6,994 people/day and for Surfing is 5,349 people/day. The results of the Tourism Suitability Index analysis were obtained at station 1 of 2.3 (Appropriate), at station 2 of 2.5 (Very Appropriate), at station 3 of 2.5 (Very Appropriate).

Abstract

Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) is one of the freshwater fish commodities with significant economic value. The stocking density of a cultivation container is one of the principles that need to be understood, since the denser the stocking in a container, the more competition for feed and oxygen there will be, which can negatively impact fish health. Determining the right stocking density and vitamin C supplementation can be a solution for farmers in maintaining fish health to increase productivity. The purpose of this research was to determine the best stocking density through vitamin C supplementation as seen from the growth data and survival of tilapia during 30 days of maintenance. The research method that will be used is experimental with a Completely Randomized Design. The research consisted of a stocking density treatment of 15 fish/container, a stocking density treatment of 25 fish/container, and a stocking density treatment of 35 fish/container. Each treatment will be given 3 repetitions. Vitamin C supplementation is given in the feed with a dose of 150 mg/kg of feed. The cultivation container used has a volume of 15 L of water as a cultivation medium. Growth and survival data will be analyzed using SPSS and water quality data as supporting data will be analyzed using Ms. Excel and presented descriptively quantitatively. The results of the research showed that the highest length, weight, and survival values were in treatment A (15 fish/L) with a length growth of 2.43 cm and a weight of 2.42 grams and a survival rate of 86.63%. The results of the ANOVA analysis showed that the stocking density treatment had a significant effect on the length of tilapia, but did not have a significant effect on the weight and survival of the fish. The water quality conditions were still at the optimal standard quality values for tilapia maintenance in all treatments.

Abstract

Fishermen are the primary source of livelihood for the community in Sapeken Village, Sumenep, East Java. This study aims to assess the socioeconomic conditions and welfare levels of fishermen, measured through 10 indicators: household income, household expenditure, housing ownership, housing facilities, education of household members, health of household members, access to healthcare facilities, access to transportation facilities, safety from crime, and access to information and communication technology. Data were collected from 93 respondents between June and July 2024 over a period of two weeks. All respondents answered the same questions using a scale from one to three, and the weighted scores were totaled and averaged to produce three categories: prosperous, moderate, and less prosperous. The educational background of fishermen in Sapeken is mostly at the Senior High School level, with an average income exceeding IDR 2,249,000. Based on social conditions, the fishermen fall into a good category. Likewise, the economic conditions of the fishermen's households are also in good standing. The overall socioeconomic conditions of fishing households in Sapeken Village are classified as good, with a total score of 2.75 from the 10 parameters, indicating a high level of welfare. A score between 2.41 and 3.11 suggests that the fishing households are prosperous.
