This study is motivated by moral learning which sometimes makes students bored. Text books or modules that contain moral lessons, make students lazy to read them. Students only get knowledge about the morals of learning through textbooks, modules, from information conveyed by the teacher. Students also do not know the meaning, do not appreciate, and do not know how to apply morals in real life everyday. Moral learning in schools is only normative and dogmatic in nature, so teachers only pay attention to the cognitive aspects, while the psychomotor and affective aspects receive less attention. Novels are one source of moral learning. This is because the figures and settings in the novel can be used as examples and guidelines for students in living moral lives in society. The focus of this research is: Moral values in the novel 99 Cahaya di Langit Eropa by Hanum Salsabiela and Rangga Almahendra. To answer the focus of the research, the research questions are; 1). How do the values of human morals towards Allah SWT in the novel 99 Cahaya di Langit Eropa by Hanum Salsabiela and Rangga Almahendra.2). How do the values of human morals towards themselves, 3). How do the moral values of humans towards fellow humans in the novel 99 Cahaya di Langit Eropa by Hanum Salsabiela and Rangga Almahendra. 3). How do the moral values of humans against fellow Muslims. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the moral values in the novel 99 Cahaya di Langit Eropa by Hanum Salsabiela and Rangga Almahendra. This research method is qualitative. This is because the object and source of this research is the text of the novel 99 Cahaya di Langit Eropa by Hanum Salsabiela and Rangga Almahendra. Researchers become a key instrument because researchers who read critically the text of the novel. After reading intensively and critically, researchers describe, interpret, and analyze data to answer the focus of the research problem. The data in the form of words, sentences, and paragraphs. In analyzing the data, researchers used the hermeneutic technique. The results of the analysis in this study indicate that the novel 99 Cahaya di Langit Eropa is an Islamic novel that contains moral values. Moral values contained in the novel 99 Cahaya di Langit Eropa are moral values towards Allah SWT are worship prayers, fasting and reading the Qur'an. Moral values to yourself are honesty, patience, and sincerity. Moral values towards fellow human beings are tolerance and helping. While the moral values of fellow Muslims are greeting, fulfilling invitations, and advising each other.

This research is motivated by the recent most cases of rule violations conducted by a number of students in MTs. Raudlatussa'adah Pontianak. From the results of observations and initial documentation of the research, the forms of violations that are often done by students are late, wearing needless uniforms, long hair, inappropriate hair cut for students, fighting and other forms of violations. Even though MTs. Raudlatussa'adah Pontianak has made written rules including the threat of sanctions / penalties for the perpetrators. Based on the background of the problem, the researcher then conducted further research in order to explore and analyze information about how the act of giving penalties in cases of school rules violations in order to uphold the character of students. The approach and method used in research is a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, that this study seeks to describe the phenomenon in accordance with the facts occurred in the field. Furthermore, the subjects in this study include: Principal of Madrasah, Deputy Head of Madrasah for Student Affairs, Teachers of Islamic Character and students. For data collection researchers used in-depth interview techniques, non-participant observation and study documentation. The data processing and analysis techniques used consist of data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. Meanwhile, to check the validity of the data, researchers used triangulation techniques. Based on the explanation and analysis of the research data, it can be concluded that the preparatory step for the punishment of school rules violations in an effort to uphold the character of student discipline is done by verbalizing the punishment in the Student Orientation Period (MOS) activities, flag ceremonies and through classroom wall magazines and billboards. . As for the implementation of the punishment given by the teacher, but it is not consistent with the existing rules and the implementation also does not contain educational elements.

Motivation is the self-driving power of students to learn on an ongoing basis. Furthermore, motivation has a particular position to achieve goals. Therefore, without motivation, the learning process will not go well. Nowadays, often the social environment and the development of modern life affect student learning motivation. Because of that, the optimal role of the teacher is needed to foster student learning motivation. This study aims to determine 1) The purpose of the teacher as an intrinsic motivator of student learning in Islamic Religious Education Subjects in SD Negeri 05 Timur Pontianak (Elementary Schools). 2) The purpose of the teacher as a motivator for extrinsically learning students in Islamic Religious Education subjects at SD Negeri 05 Timur Pontianak. This type of research is qualitative research. Data collection techniques through in-depth interview techniques and participatory observation techniques. Based on the analysis results, the findings of this study are: 1) The role of the teacher as intrinsic learning motivator in students is done by increasing the desire of students to acquire skills in learning, obtaining information about science, hopes of achievement (academic and non-academic achievements) desire to be the best and hope to be accepted by parents.

Students are young generation, the nation’s hope to build a better country. As a young genera-tion, students must have a strong character, independent, responsible, critical, logical, creative, and innovative. Through constructive learning, students are expected to be able to inde-pendently improve and use the knowledge to assess and analyze, solve problems, think active-ly, critically and logically, and take the meaning of what is learned. Therefore, the learning process is student -oriented activities. Constructive learning is not only concerned with the cognitive aspects, but also oriented to the development of skills and noble character of the student. Lecturer facilitates a democratic learning that allows students to develop independent learning. Lecturer served as a facilitator, mentor and director, and evaluator of learning.

Various studies illustrate that pedagogical competence is studied more psychologically in the learning process but has not revealed the strengthening of project-based learning in madrasa teacher learning. This study analyze whether increasing the use of project-based learning (PBL) by madrasah edago teachers in Indonesia improves the pedagogic competence of madrasah teachers in learning. This type of research is experimental and uses a quasi-experimental method. The instrument used to collect data is a questionnaire. The technique used to analyze the data is descriptive qualitative analysis, quantitative and statistical inferential. The subjects of this study are teachers from these madrasas who teach one of the four core subjects of Islamic religious education in total of 139 teachers. The result of the study is that the pedagogic competence of madrasah teachers is only considered a determinant of the teaching practice of Islamic religious education. However, we found that the pedagogic competence of madrasah teachers can be positively influenced by the increased use of PBL in learning. Among the madrasah teacher pedagogic competence subscales, PBL positively relates to student engagement and teaching and learning. Analysis using student data shows that students’ positive responses to Islamic religious education learning practices can mediate the relationship between PBL and the pedagogic competence of madrasa teachers. This research has implications for developing the PBL model in improving the pedagogic competence of madrasa teachers in learning Islamic religious education.

THEIMPLEMENTATIONOFMORALSANDINDEPENDENCE- BASED CONTEXTUAL LEARNING MODELS (Class Action Research on Moral Subjects in MAN 1 Pontianak): This study explores the implementation of contextual learning in order to improve student’s learning independence. The study was conducted in MAN I Pontianak using analytical models of Miles and Huerman. The study concludes that : (1) the process of learning using traditional methods tends to generate negative output marked with : (a) students are not accustomed to think analytically, (b) unable to give an opinion, (c) do not focus on learning, and (4) have a low absorption level; (2) On the contrary, through contextual learning methods, students are able : (a) to design and to build their knowledge, (b) to conduct a question and answer with a critical, systematic, analytical and logical; to be able to solve the problem together, (c) to check the results of learning, and to apply the knowledge gained. (3) Contextual learning model proves to be effective in improving student learning independence.

AbstractSchools discipline aims to keep the peace and the good implementation process of learning in school. Besides, the habituation of student’s discipline is very vital that the students get used to obeying the rules, accustomed to being an orderly, neat, and organized in a range so that students are comfortable to achieve a better future, for themselves, society, nation, and state. However, many students in the school who are less or even break on school discipline, so the result is a deviation and dependency character (moral) that occur in society, especially in young children (school age). This research approach is a qualitative approach with descriptive methods analytic types of case studies. The location of this research is Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 (MAN) Mempawah. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and document analysis. While the data analysis technique is a reduction, display, and data verification. The results reveal that the internalization of disciplinary character in MAN 1 Mempawah conducted seriously through the process of values transformation, transaction, and trans internalization as well as through various extracurricular activities and disciplinary culture in schools. AbstrakDisiplin sekolah bertujuan untuk menjaga ketentraman dan terlaksananya proses pembelajaran di sekolah dengan baik. Selain itu pembiasaan kedisiplinan siswa sangat vital, agar siswa terbiasa taat pada aturan, terbiasa tertib, rapi, dan teratur dalam jangkauan sehingga siswa nyaman untuk meraih masa depan yang lebih baik, bagi dirinya, masyarakat, bangsa. dan negara bagian. Namun banyak siswa di sekolah yang kurang atau bahkan melanggar disiplin sekolah, sehingga mengakibatkan terjadinya penyimpangan dan ketergantungan karakter (moral) yang terjadi di masyarakat terutama pada anak usia sekolah (usia sekolah). Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif analitik jenis studi kasus. Lokasi penelitian ini adalah Madrasah Aliyah 1 (MAN) Kabupaten Mempawah. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen. Sedangkan teknik analisis datanya adalah reduksi, penyajian, dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa internalisasi karakter disiplin di MAN 1 Mempawah dilakukan secara serius melalui proses transformasi nilai, transaksi, dan transinternalisasi serta melalui berbagai kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dan budaya disiplin di sekolah.How to Cite: Rianawati., Yusuf, M., Herlambang, S., Ramli, Y.
