Abstract

The Bandar Lampung coastal area naturally has the potential of a tsunami hazard. Historically the coastal area of Bandar Lampung City had been hit by a tsunami with a height of 10-30 meters in 1883 when the eruption of Mount Krakatau occurred. The partial collapse of Mount Krakatau, which occurred at the end of 2018, also had a tidal wave impact as high as 1-2 meters in the Bandar Lampung coastal area. This study aims to produce Thematic Maps of Tsunami Hazard Zones in the Coastal Areas of Bandar Lampung City as a source of information for the community and stakeholders. The method used is spatial analysis with GIS through the overlay method. The result shown that eight sub district in Bandar Lampung City are prone to tsunami hazards with risk categories up to very high risk categories.

Abstract

Kelompok Tani Hutan (KTH) Agro Sumber Rejeki atas inisiatif sendiri telah membudidayakan sereh wangi (Cymbophogon nardus) sejak tahun 2016 sebagai tanaman sela di wilayah hutan produksi Register 40, Kabupaten Lampung Selatan. KTH memproduksi minyak serehwangi secara rutin sebanyak 2,5 liter/hari. Kendala yang dihadapi KTH saat ini adalah keterbatasan jumlah pasar minyak sereh wangi di Provinsi Lampung dan belum dimilikinya pengetahuan serta keterampilan masyarakat akan manfaat dan teknis pembuatan produk-produk berbasis minyak sereh wangi. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat akan manfaat minyak sereh wangi, meningkatkan pemahaman tentang persyaratan obat tradisional serta meningkatkan keterampilan teknis dalam memproduksi balsem sereh wangi. Metode pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan penyuluhan berupa ceramah langsung dan pelatihan pembuatan balsem citronella. Hasil evaluasi kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan manfaat minyak sereh wangi dan persyaratan obat luar serta keterampilan teknis pembuatan sebesar 61 poin dari nilai awal sebelum dimulainya kegiatan pengabdianKata kunci: Minyak Sereh Wangi, Balsem

Abstract

The construction process frequently necessitates the demolition of existing structures, resulting in substantialconstruction waste. A significant portion of this waste comprises demolition debris, particularly from concrete buildingmaterials. This research aims to develop standard concrete by partially substituting conventional coarse and fineaggregates with concrete waste materials. The substitutions involved replacing 25% and 50% of sand and gravel,respectively, by weight, using a K300 concrete mix design. Adopting the SNI 03-2834-2000 method, the mix design for 1cubic meter of concrete comprised cement (528 kg), sand (776.16 kg), gravel (807.04 kg), and water (205 kg). Theresults indicated an average sample weight reduction, with the first sample at 12.91 kg, the second at 12.79 kg, and thethird at 12.77 kg. This weight decrease suggests that using waste as a partial aggregate substitute impacts concretedensity. Compressive strength tests revealed a reduction of 5.98% in the concrete containing a 25% waste mixture, withaverage compressive strength declining from 307.22 kg/cm² to 288.94 kg/cm². A more pronounced reduction occurred inthe 50% waste mixture, where compressive strength decreased by 15.70% (from 307.22 kg/cm² to 259.06 kg/cm²). Thistrend aligns with the understanding that higher waste content correlates with greater mechanical strength reduction, likelydue to the differing physical properties of waste materials, such as lower density, which impact overall concreteperformance, particularly in compressive strength.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan pendidikan berpedoman pada kurikulum yang telah disusun secara sistematis dan bertahap yang diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran. Pengembangan pendidikan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) di Indonesia harus diarahkan untuk beradaptasi dengan dinamika global dan nasional khususnya terhadap Revolusi Industri 4.0 saat ini, menyesuaikan dengan kebutuhan dunia kerja dengan menyempurnakan kurikulum dan mengintegrasikan dengan banyak pemangku kepentingan. SMK Negeri 8 Bandar Lampung berdiri berdasarkan Surat Keputusan Wali Kota Bandar Lampung Nomor 511/14.40/HK/2014 tanggal 11 April 2014. Kurikulum yang digunakan di SMK Negeri 8 Bandar Lampung adalah Kurikulum Merdeka. Bandar Lampung saat ini adalah terbatasnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru dalam pemanfaatan teknologi software engineering SuperPro Designer yang digunakan dalam bidang Teknik Kimia Industri. Padahal SMKN 8 Bandar Lampung memiliki fasilitas Laboratorium Komputer yang memadai namun belum terpasang software pendukung lanjutan Teknik Kimia khususnya aplikasi SuperPro Designer. Dengan adanya kegiatan PKM ini diharapkan fasilitas pendukung dalam proses belajar dalam hal ini aplikasi SuperPro Designer dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru di SMKN 8 Bandar Lampung.

Abstract

Plastic waste is waste that cannot be decomposed so it will cause serious problems to the environment. The National Waste Management Information System (SIPSN) reported that in 2020 plastic waste was found to be 17.2% of the total waste collected. Several types of plastic can become porous charcoal through the heating process in a furnace so that it can be used as an adsorbent for liquid waste from the laundry industry. Laundry liquid waste containing excess phosphate will disrupt the environment such as eutrophication. This research aims to determine the effect of the HCl activator on carbon from polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastic bottle waste to reduce phosphate levels in liquid laundry waste. This research uses varying concentrations of HCl as a carbon activator, namely 1M, 5M, and 10M. The activated carbon is added to the liquid laundry waste and stirred at a speed of 100 rpm. Phosphate content analysis was carried out using a spectrophotometer in liquid laundry waste before and after the adsorption process and BET (Brunauer-Emmet-Teller) analysis on activated carbon with activator HCl 10 M. The greatest decrease in phosphate levels was 10 M HCl concentration of 52.87%, with a carbon surface area of 203.1222 m²/g and a particle size of 29.53 nm. The adsorption capacity of activated carbon with a 10 M activator is 0.1499 mg/g. Keywords:PET, Adsorbent, HCl, Laundry Waste, Phosphate
