Abstract

This paper aim to know polymer isolator performance of epoksi resin 20 kV in condition of salt fog and compared to cleanness fog. Measurement done in a cloud chamber (Chamber Test) which its the temperature is arranged to become 3 level: low (00 - 250C), medium (250 - 350C) and height (350- 450C). And then is done measurement of good blowby current in condition of clean fog and also salt fog by taking polymer isolator sample in condition of cleanness and pollutant. Result of study indicates that isolator performance hardly influenced by condition of area of especially residing in coast area that is often foggy salt. In condition of clean fog without pollutant is obtained by examination of leaky current 20 uA at temperature 400, while at condition of salt fog 25 uA. Finally, in condition of light pollutant of rising blowby current becomes 21 uA at condition of cleanness while at condition of salt fog becomes 26 uA.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the efficiency of solar cells based on elevation angle. In this system installed panel of 100 Wp solar cells, electrical energy for charging the battery 140 Ah, and a inverter 1300 Watt to turn on the fluorescent lights and the supply of energy resources. The method used is to experiment with the adjust the angle elevation of solar panels in the charging battery cells. The results showed the maximum capacity of the electric power that is able to operate in the application of 350 Watt with elevation position 25O.

Abstract

A rectangular NdFeB permanent magnet DC motor design has been made and tested experimentally. The use of rectangular permanent magnet rotor teeth made in layers aims to increase the torque of the DC motor. Measurement and testing of DC motor force and torque using a spring balance. In addition, the adjustment of the air gap and the addition of a magnetic layer were carried out to determine the performance of a DC motor with varying rotation. This DC motor design has eight poles with 150 turns per coil and an arrangement of 1-4 layers of permanent magnets with an air gap of 1-4 mm. The results showed that the more layers of permanent magnets with a smaller rotor and stator magnetic air gap, the greater the torque. In measuring the motor's torque with four layers of permanent magnets for an air gap of 1 mm with a field voltage of 50 Volts, the electrical-torque is 0.6910 N-m, and the mechanical-torque is 0.027 N-m at a speed of 780 Rpm. Then at a voltage of 60 Volts with the same air gap distance, an electrical-torque of 0.085 N-m is obtained and a mechanical-torque of 0.0293 with a speed of 860 rpm

Abstract

Peningkatan pertumbuhan teknologi menyerap banyak energi dan merupakan insiden krisis energi periodik yang sangat menakutkan.  Saat ini, telah terjadi perubahan pola penggunaan lampu biasa untuk menghemat lampu dari ballast konvensional ke ballast elektronik dan lampu hemat energi (LHE). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis dan mengevaluasi  penghematan energi listrik dari penggunaan ballast konvensional menjadi ballast elektronik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, penggunaan lampu hemat energi memerlukan biaya awal yang lebih mahal dibandingkan dengan lampu biasa, tetapi dalam operasi sehari-hari menjadi lebih ekonomis sehingga diperoleh penghematan energi antara 20 - 80%. Adanya pola penggantian dari lampu biasa menjadi lampu hemat akan dapat membantu PLN untuk mengurangi energi reaktif sehingga akan mengurangi rugi-rugi energi yang terjadi pada jaringan listrik. Sebagai tambahan, adanya perubahan penggantian ballast konvensional menjadi ballast elektronik akan dapat meningkatkan faktor daya listrik sebesar 55,61%.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan energi matahari dengan teknologi solar sel pada usaha penjualan dan pembakaran ikan untuk mengatasi kesulitan sumber energi listrik telah diaplikasikan. Dengan teknologi ini, bisnis pembakaran ikan dapat dilakukan pada malam hari sebagai pengganti lampu petromaks. Selain itu, tersedia sumber energi bagi sebuah kipas angin untuk membakar ikan. Metode yang digunakan adalah pemasangan satu panel sel surya 100 Wp, baterai /aki 140 Ah, dan sebuah kapasitas inverter 1.300 W untuk mengubah tegangan DC menjadi AC. Hasilnya diperoleh peningkatan pendapatan karena kegiatan penjualan dapat dilaksanakan sampai pada malam hari tanpa mengeluarkan biaya seperti penggunaan minyak tanah pada lampu petromaks. Kapasitas maksimun daya listrik yang mampu dioperasikan sebesar 350W dengan posisi kemiringan 250. Kemudian dalam kegiatan ini dipasang lampu neon sebanyak 5 buah masing-masing daya 11 W, dan disediakan 3 buah stop kontak untuk persediaan sumber energi listrik kipas angin dengan daya 75 W.

Abstract

The electrical protection system is designed with the aim of preventing or reducing damage due to interference on equipment that is traversed by short circuit currents, in addition, with a protection system, the undisturbed area can be minimized as small as possible. In a house, a Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) is usually used as a means of protection to break the short circuit current that occurs. However, an MCB has limitations including it cannot be controlled from a certain distance, so if the MCB is to reconnect after it has worked, the user must raise the lever manually. The purpose of this research is to make an electrical protection device for household use that can be controlled and monitored remotely. This system is built using the esp module. 8266, pzem-004t sensor and solid state relay by utilizing the telegram application as control and notification. The test results show that the values ​​of current and voltage as well as electrical power can be displayed by smartphone users via the telegram application by using certain commands according to what has been programmed.

Abstract

Various commutation techniques, such as forced commutation, ignition angle control, and symmetrical angle control, have been developed to improve the input power factor and harmonic level. However, all of these techniques will produce only one pulse per half cycle of the converter input current, and consequently, the lowest order harmonic is the third harmonic. A comparative study of active filter converters between single pulse and PWM control has been investigated. Both converters are given identical R and RL loads to compare power factor (PF) and Total Harmonic Distortion (THD). The method used is a simulation with the PSPICE program. The performance of both rectifiers is evaluated based on the input current waveform, THD, and PF. At RL load, the input current distortion decreases drastically, with a THD of 100.67%. In PWM control, harmonics are reduced with a THD of 25.48%. The rectifier power factor in the active filter obtained PF of 0.25, whereas in PWM control, PF increased by 0.65.
