Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat kepuasan lulusan terhadap penyelenggaraan dan mutu layanan, serta persepsi pemangku kepentingan terhadap kinerja lulusan PS S-1 Biologi FMIPA-UT. Penelitian dilakukan pada 8 (delapan) kota UPBJJ-UT yang memiliki lulusan dan teman sejawat  dari program studi Biologi. Sampel lulusan yaitu seluruh lulusan Biologi 3 tahun kebelakang pada tahun 2010 hingga 2013 sejumlah 24 lulusan. Jumlah sampel dari lulusan, atasan lulusan, dan teman sejawat adalah sebanyak 71 responden. Pengumpulan data dilaksanakan dengan metode kuantitatif  melalui pengisian kuesioner atau angket dan diperdalam dengan wawancara. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penyelenggaraan program dan mutu layanan program studi umumnya sudah baik atau memuaskan bagi para lulusan. Namun demikian masih ada hal yang perlu ditingkatkan, yaitu adanya penambahan mata kuliah yang di-TTM-kan  di setiap UPBJJ. Selain itu menurut persepsi pengguna lulusan, sikap dan kemampuan dan kinerja lulusan sudah baik, serta bersaing dengan perguruan tinggi lain.

Abstract

Alongwith the recent development ofinformationtechnology, achievingcompetencypracticumcoursesmaybe obtainedthrough a combination ofdry labandwet lab. On the other hand, the locations ofUniversitas Terbuka biologystudentsare veryscatteredandrelatively highcost oflab work. Thiscanbe handled whenthe implementation ofpractical workcanbe doneindependentlyso thatstudentsdo nothave tobe presentinthelab. However, notallpracticumcompetencecan bedoneindependently, so it needsa combination ofpracticalimplementations. This paperpresentsthepracticalapplication ofdry labcombinedwithwet labtoachieve VascularPlantTaxonomy PracticumCourse competency. CompetenciestargetedintheVascular Plant TaxonomyPracticumCourseare to beable tocomparecharacteristicsbetweengroups ofvascularplantswitha fewexamples offamilies andmembers type. The studyofpracticumsubjectsindicatethat thecompetencyrequirements canbe achievedbyutilizinga combinationdry labandwet lab. Dry labusedtostrengthenprior knowledgeabout theplantsthatwill beobservedandtodemonstrate the steps of practicumimplementationinthe fieldindependently. In addition, dry lab made easierto classify theplants. Whilewet lab can be usedforpractical observation activitieson plantorganswhichrequirespecial equipment, as well as touching and smelling activities. The implementation of combination on dry labandwet lab practicum canreducestudentsvisittothelaboratory, so that thecost ofpractical workcanalsobe reduced. Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi informasi saat ini, pencapaian kompetensi mata kuliah praktikum dapat diperoleh melalui kombinasi antara Dry Lab dengan Wet Lab. Di sisi lain, lokasi mahasiswa PS Biologi sangat tersebar dan biaya praktikum cukup tinggi. Hal ini dapat diatasi antara lain bila pelaksanaan praktikum dapat dilakukan secara mandiri sehingga mahasiswa tidak harus hadir di tempat praktikum. Namun demikian, tidak semua kompetensi praktikum dapat dilakukan secara mandiri, sehingga perlu kombinasi pelaksanaan praktikum. Tulisan ini menyajikan tentang penerapan praktikumDry Lab dikombinasikan dengan Wet Lab untuk pencapaian kompetensi mata kuliah praktikum taksonomi tumbuhan tinggi. Kompetensi yang ditargetkan dalam mata kuliah praktikum taksonomi tumbuhan tinggi adalah mampu membandingkan karakteristik antara kelompok tumbuhan berpembuluh dengan beberapa contoh suku dan jenis anggotanya. Hasil kajian terhadap materi mata kuliah praktikum tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi yang diinginkan dapat dicapai dengan memanfaatkan kombinasi Dry Lab dan Wet Lab. Dry Lab digunakan untuk memperkuat pengetahuan awal terhadap tumbuhan yang akan diamati dan untuk memperagakan langkah-langkah pelaksanaan praktikum di lapangan secara mandiri. Selain itu, Dry Lab memudahkan untuk pengklasifikasian tumbuhan. Sedangkan Wet Lab dimanfaatkan untuk kegiatan praktikum pengamatan organ tumbuhan yang membutuhkan peralatan khusus, perabaan, dan penciuman. Pelaksanaan praktikum kombinasi antara Dry Lab dan Wet Labdapat mengurangi kunjungan mahasiswa ke tempat praktikum, sehingga biaya praktikum juga dapat dikurangi.

Abstract

The kind of audio technology makes it possible to choose the technology that can make students easy and convenient to access the audio program. Audio streaming technology is technology used to put the audio programs on the website. Available in various formats audio programs that can be used for audio streaming technology. The aim of the research is to make the selection of audio technologies available for use in e-Learning system at the Open University (UT). Data taken with the questionnaire and download audio programs in various formats on the UT website. Data analysis to see the frequency calculations are presented descriptively.The results showed that the 4 (four) format used on audio technology, which is MP3 (MPEG layer 3), WMA (Windows Media Audio), OGG Vorbis, and AAC (Advanced Audio Codec) can be concluded that: most audio format easy to use are MP3, MP3 audio format is the fastest format can be downloaded by students, as well as audio technology that produces the best sound quality is MP3.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the large intensity lighting (Eaverage) based benchmark Indonesian National Standard (SNI) at the Computer Laboratory of the Faculty of Science and Engineering (FST) is 500 Lux by of direct measurement, data analysis and simulation using software Calculux. Based on the results of the measurement, calculation and analysis of large value obtained Eaverage of 304.398 lux, so it can be seen that the laboratory has not reached the recommended ISO standards for laboratories. It is necessary for the simulation to achieve compliance in accordance with the ISO using Calculux v5.0. After performing simulations to obtain the fulfillment of the ISO standard, showed that the amount of light on a computer lab is 8 units (304 398 lux) should be  increased to 10 pieces with the same kind of light, so that it can reach the standards set, which is equal to 500 lux.

Abstract

Paper ini bertujuan untuk mengaplikasikan teknologi solar sel dalam mengurangi biaya penggunaan energi listrik pada Usaha Ayam potong di Daerah Kampung Daun-Baumata. Melalui aplikasi alat ini, maka  usaha peternakan ayam potong yang berlokasi di daerah Baumata dapat memberikan solusi ketika terjadi pemadaman listrik dan sekaligus dapat mengurangi biaya operasional penggunaan energy listrik yang berasal dari PLN. Pada sistem desain alat ini dipasang panel solar sel 100 Wp, aki untuk pengisian energi listrik 140 Ah, dan inverter 1300 Watt untuk menghidupkan lampu neon dan penyediaan sumber energi.Metode yang digunakan adalah mengaplikasikan panel solar sel untuk mengisi aki dan merubah tegangan DC dari aki melalui inverter menjadi tegangan AC. Hasil penelitian diperoleh penurunan pembayaran listrik dimana sebelumnya menggunakan energy listrik sebesar 3.6 kwh/malam dengan 3 buah lampu pijar sebesar 300 Watt.  Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh penghematan penggunaan energi listrik yang berdampak pada efisiensi pembayaran listrik. Dalam 1 kandang menggunakan 3 bola lampu pijar dengan daya masing-masing 100 Watt. Setiap malam dinyalakan selama  12 jam (jam 18.00 – 6.00). Artinya energi yang digunakan W= P.h (Kwh) atau 0.3 kw x 12 jam = 3.6 Kwh. Jika harga listrik per kwh (Januari 2017) sebesar Rp1.467,28, maka diperoleh penghematan pembayaran listrik sebesar: Rp1.467,28 x 3.6 = Rp5.282,21/malam atau 158.466/bulan

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the efficiency of solar cells based on elevation angle. In this system installed panel of 100 Wp solar cells, electrical energy for charging the battery 140 Ah, and a inverter 1300 Watt to turn on the fluorescent lights and the supply of energy resources. The method used is to experiment with the adjust the angle elevation of solar panels in the charging battery cells. The results showed the maximum capacity of the electric power that is able to operate in the application of 350 Watt with elevation position 25O.

Abstract

This study aimed to know the feasibility of poster about grape (Vitis vinifera L.) nutrient content which were sold in Pontianak as a learning medium on sub material of nutrient in class XI SMA. This study was descriptive with questionnaire as non-test data technique collection. Validation was done by the experts; they were 2 Biology Education lectures and 3 biology high school teachers in Pontianak. The technique of data analysis used Content Validity Ratio (CVR) and Content Validity Index (CVI). The result of data analysis showed that the poster was feasible for a medium learning for the material sub class XI SMA nutrients the entire assessment criteria had reached the minimum Lawshe CVR value that was equal to 0.99. Abstract

Kilo Watt Hour Meter or kWh meter is a tool for calculating the amount of electrical energy used by electricity consumers, both residential and industrial customers. The electrical energy used is then converted into the electricity price that must be paid each month. Currently, most kWh meters in circulation are smart kWh, which use electricity tokens as transaction calculations. Customers must fill in 20 token numbers via the kWh meter keypad to fill in electricity tokens. Filling in this 20-digit token is not easy, this is because usually, this type of kWh is placed in a higher place to avoid the reach of children. This placement sometimes causes problems with replenishing the token, and users must start over from the beginning. This research aims to create a tool to fill in electricity token numbers that can be controlled using an Android application, making it easier for users to fill in electricity tokens remotely via smartphone. Apart from that, this system has feedback in the form of notifications that display numbers that failed to be filled in on the kWh meter. Test results show that this system can function well from 10 meters without obstructions and 9 meters without obstructions.

Abstract

Torque ripple analysis and calculation methods in an axial-type Magnetic Gear (MG) design with four rectangular NdFeB magnetic layers have been reviewed and discussed. Smooth and steadily transmitted torque is an essential characteristic of a magnetic gear. Reducing possible mechanical vibration, position inaccuracy, and acoustic noise is necessary. Therefore, this study aims to design a new engineering method appropriate for calculating the torque ripple of the MG transmission by testing its mechanical and electrical properties. Two simultaneous torque tests compare the MG brakes from zero to full load. In addition, the transmission torque of the axial MG is measured and calculated using technical methods. The results showed that differences in dynamic torque occurred in the MG at various air gap distances.

Abstract

: This research aims to determine the validity of Android-based virtual laboratory products with the Adobe Animate application. Practicality of Android-based virtual laboratory products with the Adobe Animate application. Student responses to Android-based virtual laboratory products developed with the Adobe Animate application. The research methods used are R&D with the ADDIE Analyze model (identifying problems and finding solutions to the problems found), Design (designing the components needed to develop products and other instruments used at the implementation stage), Development (product development) , Implementation (implemented in the learning process involving students), and Evaluation (measuring the quality of products that have been developed and processed before and after learning using a virtual laboratory). The research results show that the Android-based virtual laboratory product developed has an average readability score of 89.98% with very good criteria. The Android-based virtual laboratory media developed has met the very valid criteria with an average score of 95%. The practicality of the laboratory being developed has met the very practical criteria with an average score of 82.5% and students' responses to Android-based virtual laboratory products include the criteria of agreeing with an average percentage score of 83.33%.
