Abstract

Sebagai konsekuensi pemberlakuan Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN (MEA) maka akan terjadi arus bebas pasar tenaga kerja, barang, jasa, modal, dan investasi diantara negara-negara di kawasan ASEAN. Kondisi ini akan menjadi peluang dan sekaligus tantangan yang harus dihadapi oleh segenap bangsa Indonesia, khususnya para guru yang mempunyai peran sentral dalam membangun bangsa. Mengantisipasi perubahan-perubahan yang begitu cepat serta tantangan yang semakin besar dan kompleks, tiada jalan lain bagi guru kecuali hanya mengupayakan segala cara untuk meningkatkan daya saing para guru serta produk- produk akademik dan layanan lainnya. Membayangkan sosok ideal yang punya kompetensi besar, ikhlas mendidik dengan etos kerja tinggi, penuh kewibawaan, menjadi teladan dengan segala tutur kata yang digugu serta perilakunya ditiru, tentu pikiran kita langsung tertuju pada sosok seorang guru. Dialah guru yang ditahbiskan sebagai seorang profesional. Hanya saja sosok tersebut lebih kerap memenuhi imajinasi, karena dalam realita, semakin hari terasa semakin sulit menemukan sosok sedemikian hebat itu. Padahal, sosok tersebut begitu dirindukan semua peserta didik yang sangat dahaga akan ilmu dan haus akan keteladanan. Pendidikan berkarakter yang selalu digaungkan, ditambah lagi dengan kurikulum baru yang mengedepankan sikap dan keterampilan, tentu cuma akan menjadi sebuah kesia-siaan andaikata guru yang berada di garda terdepan perubahan perilaku peserta didiknya tersebut belum mampu menunjukkan karakter, sikap, serta keterampilan yang memadai dan menginspirasi, yang sering dirangkum dalam sebuah kata “profesional” itu. Kata kunci: Pendidikan, Guru Professional, Persaingan Global.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the role of pesantren in internalizing the values of religious moderation through the system applied in education organized with the pesantren's tradition. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation studies involving kiai, ustadz, and students in the pesantren environment. Data analysis was carried out using thematic analysis techniques through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions drawn, and strengthened by triangulation of sources and techniques to ensure the validity of findings. The results of the study show that the internalization of religious moderation in Pesantren occurs holistically through the integration of formal curriculum, curriculum (formal and hidden curriculum), and Pesantren traditions. The example of kiai and ustadz as well as the collective culture of pesantren has proven to be a key factor in shaping the religious attitude of students that is moderate, inclusive, and oriented towards social harmony. This study concludes that pesantren function as a foundation of moderate Islamic education that is effective in maintaining social cohesion in a multicultural society. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of strengthening the role of Pesantren in the development of Islamic education policies and practices oriented towards religious moderation and social peace.

Abstract

This community service program focused on strengthening madrasah digitalization based on religious moderation to improve the quality of Islamic education at MTs Ummul Quro Putri Plakpak Pegantenan Pamekasan. The program aimed to enhance teachers’ digital literacy, improve digital documentation and communication practices, and integrate religious moderation values into educational technology use. This service employed an Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach through five stages: asset mapping, collective visioning, program design, priority action planning, and participatory implementation. The activities included socialization, digital literacy training, mentoring in digital learning media, strengthening Islamic digital ethics, and organizing digital documentation practices. The results showed increased teacher awareness and skills in using digital media, improved documentation practices, stronger student awareness of ethical digital behavior, and the formation of a small madrasah digitalization team. The program concludes that value-based digitalization can strengthen Islamic education quality when supported by local assets, participatory engagement, and religious moderation principles.
