Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop an android-based learning media in thematic for grade IV elementary schools in Cikalong 1 to increase learning motivation. This research uses the type of research and development, the development model used in this research is ADDIE. The ADDIE development model has five stages namely, analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The result of the research on the development of the developed learning media obtained an average value of the level validated by material experts and media experts which was 87,05% with the valid category. The results of the questionnaire response from the teacher and 20 students obtained practicality of 91,25% and the result of the student's response questionnaire obtained a percentage of 92,12% and the result of the student motivation test percentage of 93%, meaning that the android application media attract students attention and increase students learning motivation.

Abstract

Local culture in certain regions has a big role in shaping the characteristics and characteristics of the members of the community. Likewise in terms of mathematical literacy, the cultural elements of the local community often contain mathematical concepts within it which are able to play a role in the effort to develop mathematical literacy abilities. In the context of classroom learning, local culture can be used as content in teaching mathematics so that it becomes easier to grow students' mathematical literacy skills. This paper examines how the role of local culture in mathematical literacy in elementary school students in the Cirebon region by studying the cultural content and local wisdom that exist in Cirebon society and linking it with students' mathematical literacy.

Abstract

This research was conducted to obtain lecture tools (syllabus, SAP, textbooks and worksheets) that use metacognitive strategies, and see the effectiveness of lecture tools in shaping students' abilities to solve mathematical problems. The research design used is ADDIE development research. This research will be conducted on third semester students of the PGSD study program, Faculty of Education and Humanities, Pelita Bangsa University, TA 2022/2023 in the Elementary Mathematics Learning course. This teaching material is declared valid based on the validation results of experts, practitioners and media experts which are marked by the acquisition of a hih score so that it is suitable for use. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendapatkan perangkat perkuliahan (silabus, SAP, buku ajar dan LKS) yang menggunakan strategi metakognitif, serta melihat keefektifan perangkat perkuliahan dalam membentuk kemampuan mahasiswa dalam memecahkan masalah matematika. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan ADDIE. Penelitian ini akan dilakukan pada mahasiswa semester tiga program studi PGSD Fakultas Pendidikan dan Ilmu Budaya Universitas Pelita Bangsa TA 2022/2023 pada mata kuliah Pembelajaran Matematika SD. Bahan ajar ini dinyatakan valid berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli, praktisi dan ahli media yang ditandai dengan perolehan skor hih sehingga layak digunakan.

Abstract

The determinants of student achievement in schools are widely studied, including factors at school. Research on principal leadership, teacher performance, and student success has been carried out by many other researchers with varied results. This study aims to explain these two factors on student achievement based on teacher and student assessments. The research method used is quantitative through survey techniques. Statistical analysis used is non-parametric statistic Mean-Withney test. This research compared perceptions of teachers and students, male and female, from two school institutions. The comparison results show that both teachers and students agree that the principal has an effect on student achievement (U = 364,000; p = 0.229). In addition, teachers and students agreed that teacher support affected student achievement (U = 369,000; p = 0.266). These results indicate that both students and teachers see a relationship between the leadership role of school principals and teacher performance with student success. These findings can contribute to the development of psychology and education.

Abstract

The implementation of TikTok as an innovative learning tool for elementary school students is carried out through a community service program. The use of TikTok social media in the learning process aims to increase students' engagement, understanding, and creativity in the learning process. The program was designed using lecture and question-and-answer methods, focusing on the importance of using TikTok wisely and responsibly. The results of this program show a significant increase in student engagement, material understanding, and creativity development in educational content creation. TikTok has proven to be an effective engaging and interactive learning medium that motivates students to be more active in the learning process. Despite the challenges related to supervision in the use of social media, this program illustrates the significant potential of TikTok as an educational tool that can be adapted to meet students' learning needs in the digital era.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low writing skills of grade V students. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Discovery Learning model on the writing skills of elementary school students. The research method used was quasi-experimental. The sample in this study were grade VA and grade VB students of SDN Munjul II in the 2024/2025 academic year with research subjects of 20 experimental class students and 20 control class students determined through purposive sampling. The data collection technique in this study was through a narrative writing test. The results of the analysis showed that the results of the independent sample t-test for the experimental class and the control class showed a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.048, which is less than 0.05 (sig <0.05) so that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. This means that there is a significant difference in students' writing skills between the experimental class given the Discovery Learning model treatment and the control class given the Direct Instruction model treatment.
