Abstract

This research is motivated by the low student learning outcomes in Mathematics. This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of grade IV students at SDN Jayi I through the application of the Realistic Mathematic Education approach. The subject of this study was the fourth-grade students of SDN Jayi I as many as 24 students consisting of 13 female students and 11 male students. Data collection techniques used are tests, observations, interviews, field notes and documentation. This research was conducted in 3 cycles with 3 actions in each cycle. The results of the study show that the application of the Realistic Mathematic Education approach can improve student learning outcomes. This is indicated by an increase in the average value from before giving the action to the third cycle. The average value obtained in the first cycle reached 56.70 with a graduation percentage of 37.5%. In the second cycle the average value obtained increased to 66.33 with a graduation percentage of 62.5%. In the third cycle the average value obtained increased to 71.66 with a graduation percentage of 79.7%. In general, it can be concluded that the application of the Realistic Mathematic Education approach can improve student learning outcomes in Mathematics in the fourth grade of Jayi I Elementary School, Sukahaji District, Majalengka District. Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi masih rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV di SDN Jayi I melalui penerapan pendekatan Realistic Mathematic Education. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SDN Jayi I sebanyak 24 siswa yang terdiri dari 13 siswa perempuan dan 11 siswa laki-laki. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes, observasi, wawancara, catatan lapangan dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam 3 siklus dengan 3 tindakan pada tiap siklusnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penerapan pendekatan Realistic Mathematic Education dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini ditunjukan dengan adanya peningkatan nilai rata-rata dari sebelum pemberian tindakan sampai dengan siklus III. Nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh pada siklus I mencapai 56,70 dengan presentase kelulusan 37,5%. Pada siklus II nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh meningkat menjadi 66,33 dengan persentase kelulusan 62,5%. Pada siklus III nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh meningkat menjadi 71,66 dengan persentase kelulusan 79,7%. Secara umum dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan Realistic Mathematic Education dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pelajaran Matematika di kelas IV SDN Jayi I Kecamatan Sukahaji Kabupaten Majalengka. Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent to which teachers and elementary school students perceive the use of augmented reality digital learning media. The method used in this research is the descriptive qualitative research method. The results of this study say that learning using augmented reality is very suitable for use at the elementary school level. Because basically the learning of elementary school children is still teacher-centered and the use of learning media itself is still minimally used. There are still many teachers who lack an understanding of science and technology. The teacher's perception of the impact of augmented reality is that by utilizing technology, students not only gain cognitive abilities, but students also gain the abilities and skills in using and utilizing technology wisely which is one of the skills in the 21st century. Furthermore, students' perceptions of media Augmented reality digital learning is that students can enjoy learning, enrich their knowledge of the material studied through augmented reality, and students are more enthusiastic about learning. Augmented reality is a learning media by utilizes technological developments.

Abstract

Education has a very central role in building quality human resources in order to survive and live life in a global era full of competition, so we need a pattern of science learning that is oriented to the paradigm of technology-based learning. Science, Technology, Engineering, And Mathematics learning is one of learning that is able to develop the competencies of students to solve problems faced in everyday life through the use of technology. Since the role of teachers in education is very important, preservice teachers of primay school must have a deep knowledge of science. In other words, preservice teachers of primay school must have good scientific literacy. scientific literacy is one of the important aspects that must be mastered by preservice teachers of primay school, because it influences the learning process in elementary school. scientific literacy is very important to solve various problems related to ethics, morals and global issues due to rapid changes in the fields of science and technology.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of multiliteration learning models assisted by big book media in improving the reading comprehension skills of students in grade V of elementary school. This research is an experimental study with the research design used in this study, namely Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. The data analysis technique in this study was the T-test. The results showed that based on the results of the different test with independent samples test, it was known that the Sig (2- tailed) value was 0.00 less than 0.05 thus it could be concluded that there were differences which are signed between the average reading comprehension of students in the experimental class with the group of students in the control class. The average score in the experimental class was 63.39, with a maximum value of 89.66 and a minimum value of 31.03. Meanwhile, the average score in the control class was 39.71 with a maximum value of 68.57 and a minimum value of 38.10. In general, it can be concluded that in improving reading comprehension skills in grade V elementary schools can be using multiliteration learning models assisted by big book media.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low listening ability of elementary school students. The purpose of this study is to determine the improvement of listening skills of fifth-grade elementary school students by using augmented reality-based learning media. This study uses an experimental model with a pretest-posttest control group design with a sample of 60 students. The instrument used in this study is to use a listening ability test, besides that the test results are analyzed by looking at the differences in students' listening abilities between students who learn by using augmented reality-based learning media and students who learn by using conventional learning media. The results showed that (1) there was a very significant difference in listening ability between the experimental class and the control class, and (2) the listening ability of students who studied using augmented reality-based learning media was higher than students who studied using conventional learning media. Through the use of augmented reality media, learning activities can be more fun and meaningful so that students do not feel bored studying learning materials.

Abstract

Problem solving ability is an ability that every student should be able to master so that the learning process runs smoothly. In problem solving, students are expected to have the ability to understand concepts, solve problems and be able to relate concepts to each other. The ability to understand problems must be related to students' daily lives, so that students can easily and longer remember the material given by the teacher. The aim of this research is to analyze the problem solving abilities faced by each student in solving volume cube problems. This type of research is qualitative research with qualitative descriptive methods. Subject selection was carried out using the Purposive Sampling method and 6 students were obtained as research subjects. Data collection was carried out using test and non-test methods, for the test students were given questions in the form of cube volume questions and for the non-test interviews and observations were carried out. Based on the research results, it shows that students who have high problem solving abilities almost master all indicators of problem solving abilities because there is only 1 indicator that students lack mastery, namely the indicator of solving problems with a plan. Students who fall into the category of moderate problem solving ability are able to understand problems and formulate plans but are still considered lacking in problem solving ability because there are several indicators that one of the students lacks control over, namely understanding problems and solving problems with a plan. Students who fall into the low problem solving ability category are considered to be lacking in problem solving ability because they lack mastery of each indicator, namely understanding problems, preparing plans, implementing plans, and looking back.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the challenge of improving the literary literacy skills of elementary school students, which are often considered boring using conventional learning methods. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of digital teaching materials in improving literary literacy skills, as well as the interests and motivations of 5th grade elementary school students in Majalengka Regency, West Java.. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a pre-test and post-test design in two groups: the Experimental Group which used digital teaching materials and the Control Group which used conventional methods. The research sample consisted of 60 grade 5 students, with each group consisting of 30 students. Data collection techniques include literary literacy tests, interest and motivation questionnaires, and classroom observations. Data analysis was done using statistical tests to compare changes in pre-test and post-test scores between the two groups. The research results showed that the use of digital teaching materials significantly improved the literary literacy skills of students in the Experimental Group compared to the Control Group. The average literary literacy score in the Experimental Group increased from 45 to 72, while in the Control Group, it only increased from 43 to 55. Students' interest and motivation also increased more significantly in the Experimental Group. In conclusion, digital teaching materials effectively improve students' literary literacy skills, interest, and motivation. The implication is that teachers and schools are advised to integrate technology into literature learning, and policymakers need to support using digital teaching materials in the national curriculum to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of students to understand science, research aims to improve students' comprehension skills in Grade V science learning in Cikasarung I Elementary School through the application of the environment-based brain-based learning model. This research is a classroom action research where the researcher cooperates with the fifth grade teacher of SD Negeri Cikasarung I as an observer. The research subjects were 24th grade students of SD Negeri Cikasarung I consisting of 12 male students and 12 female students. The techniques used in data collection are tests, observations, interviews and documentation. Data obtained in the form of test results as primary data and the results of observations, interviews and documentation as secondary data. The data analysis technique used is qualitative descriptive analysis for observations of each cycle. The results showed that the application of the brain based learning model with the nuances of the environment in science learning can improve the understanding of fifth grade students of Cikasarung Elementary School I. Conclusion, the application of the environment-based brain based learning model can improve students' understanding of fifth grade science learning at SD Negeri Cikasarung I.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa kelas V SD Negeri Padahanten Kecamatan Sukahaji Kabupaten Majalengka. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan desain Kemmis dan McTaggart, yang dilaksanakan dengan tiga siklus dan setiap siklusnya terdiri dari dua tindakan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes, observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pra siklus dengan tingkat ketuntasan 30% dengan rata-rata 68,97 mengalami penurunan pada siklus satu tingkat ketuntasan 19% rata-rata nilai 62,02, namun pada siklus dua mengalami peningkatan dengan ketuntasan belajar 30% rata-rata nilai 68,44 dan siklus tiga ketuntasan belajar 76% rata-rata nilai 77,02. Selain terjadi peningkatan jumlah siswa yang tuntas, sikap dan keterampilan siswa juga mengalami perubahan ke arah yang lebih baik. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Predict Discuss Explain Observe Discuss Explain (PDEODE) merupakan model pembelajaran yang efektif sehingga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas V mata pelajaran IPA dan model ini juga dapat dijadikan sebagai referensi untuk memperbaiki proses pembelajaran

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low writing skills of grade V students. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Discovery Learning model on the writing skills of elementary school students. The research method used was quasi-experimental. The sample in this study were grade VA and grade VB students of SDN Munjul II in the 2024/2025 academic year with research subjects of 20 experimental class students and 20 control class students determined through purposive sampling. The data collection technique in this study was through a narrative writing test. The results of the analysis showed that the results of the independent sample t-test for the experimental class and the control class showed a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.048, which is less than 0.05 (sig <0.05) so that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. This means that there is a significant difference in students' writing skills between the experimental class given the Discovery Learning model treatment and the control class given the Direct Instruction model treatment.
