Abstract

Lean Manufacturing merupakan pendekatan untuk mengefisienkan system dengan mereduksi pemborosan. Pendekatan ini dilakukan dengan memahami gambaran umum perusahaan melalui aliran informasi dan material di lantai produksi dengan membuat value stream mapping. Aktivitas ini dikelompokkan dalam value added, non value added, dan necessary non value added. Penelitian ini menghasilkan value stream mapping (VSM) perusahaan yang meliputi aliran material dan informasi. Dari VSM diketahui peta aktivitas-aktivitas pemborosan di lantai pabrik. Penelitian ini berhasil merinci besar value-adding activity rata-rata sebesar 50.30%, non value-adding activity sebesar 21.83% dan necessary non value-adding activity sebesar 26.36%. Dari PMEA diketahui nilai RPN terbesar pada aktivitas yang berhubungan dengan jig. Untuk mereduksi pemborosan perlu dilakukan management jig yang lebih baik. Kata kunci: fishbone diagram, FMEA, lean manufacturing, value stream mapping.     Lean Manufacturing is an approach to make system more efficient by reducing waste. This approach is done by understanding the general outlook of company using value stream mapping of information and material flow in production line. These activities are classified by value added activities, non-value added activities, and necessary value added activities. This research delivers value stream mapping (VSM) of company including material and information flow.  VSM shows the map of wasting activities in production line. The result of this research is details of activities, that value-adding activity in average 50.30%, non value-adding activity in average 21.83%, and necessary non value-adding activity in average 26.36 %. FMEA shows that the biggest value of RPN is activity that related to jig. Better jig management need to do to reduce waste. Keywords : fishbone diagram, FMEA, lean manufacturing, value stream mapping

Abstract

Inventory management is one of the most important aspects in light steel construction business activities. The application of inventory management affects the continuity of the production process and improves the quality of service to consumers. Inventory is defined as an asset which includes goods owned by the company and has the potential to be sold within a certain business period in an effort to meet consumer needs at any time. Galvalume raw material inventory for the spandex roof production process often suffers from shortages due to immature planning. The shortage of inventory causes production not to run smoothly. The purpose of inventory management in this paper is to obtain an inventory policy to optimize the total inventory cost. The method used in this study is economic order quantity. Based on the results and discussion. Ordering raw materials will be made 6 times in a year with an order quantity of 116 with a safety stock of 12 units and will be ordered again when the raw materials are in 46 units. Total Inventory Cost (TIC) which was originally IDR 26.350.191,- can be saved to IDR 21.038.827,- so that the total savings that occurred amounted to IDR 5.311.364,- (20,15%).

Abstract

Oil palm plantations are highly developed in Indonesia Especially North Sumatra. In the process of oil palm harvest, will produce palm kernels that fall to the ground. the oil palm seed is a mature palm fruit and can be sold. Based on preliminary observations with partners, they have difficulty in collecting fallen palm kernel. So many of the seeds of palm oil are abandoned and not sold. Farmers' income is reduced due to wasted crops. The absence of work facilities that occupy and the exhaustion of workers is the cause of farmers do not collect the seeds of palm. The activity of collecting palm kernel seeds is still done manually. The use of farming tools to collect palm kernel seeds facilitates the collecting of fallen palm kernel, so that the harvesting activities become effective and efficient. In the end it provides increased income for farmers. There was an increase in Partner's revenue of Rp.372.000, - and Partner 2 of Rp. 618,000, - in September 2017 using a palm kernel collecting apparatus.

Abstract

Generally, furniture industry apply make to order in production systems and job shob (batch) in flow production. To produce a number of products with a uniform design of the required tools in the form of jig. Problems occurred at one of the furniture industry is the high sets up time due completion of the jig for use. Damaged Jigs, no precision, and unavailable jigs become the main reason for set up time be longer. The impact of time disrupted production and production targets are not reached. These problems can be overcome with management tools so that the tool/jig is ready for use in times of need. Using the tool management long setup time can be reduced because equipment is not ready for use and storage techniques by replacing the jig into removing the clamp handle can minimize the need of storage space. The settings storage location having regard to the level of usage can accelerate the process of supply to jig machining settings that the setup of jig include storage layout using the principles of popularity, making the procedure management of the jig in the room. The results obtained that with tool management setup time can be reduced to 61.17%.

Abstract

A work environment describes a place for employees affect them to do their tasks. A good work environment will certainly make employees do and spend all their energy and mind to work optimally. A comfortable feeling of the work environment can reduce boredom at work. This comfort feelings have an impact on increasing motivation and producing employee job satisfaction. The condition of the working environment in palm oil industry is currently classified as messy where there are still some tools scattered on the factory floor, there is mud and slippery puddles in various places such as floors or stairs. Conditions like this certainly need to be repaired immediately to avoid the risk of work accidents and increase employees' comfortable. Improvement of working environment conditions can be done by various methods, one of the methods is 5S method. 5S spelling as (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, Shitsuke) is one of the effective tool in management to improve the work culture of workers and the conditions of the work environment in a factory. Based on the evaluation results, the evaluation categories of 5S implementations are Seiri of 16 score, Seiton of 16 score, Seiso of 9 score, Seiketsu of 8 score, Shitsuke of 7 score. The results of this total score show the 5S value of palm oil mill is in the average score of 56 total score.

Abstract

Masalah utama yang dihadapi gudang adalah tata letak produk yang kurang optimal, yang terlihat dari banyaknya ruang kosong yang tidak dimanfaatkan secara maksimal dan penempatan produk yang tidak mempertimbangkan frekuensi pergerakan produk. Hal ini disebabkan oleh penerapan metode randomized storage, di mana produk ditempatkan secara acak hanya untuk mengisi ruang yang tersedia. Akibatnya, admin gudang menghadapi kesulitan dalam menganalisis kebutuhan ruang dan throughput terutama karena proses perhitungan yang kompleks dan berulang. Kondisi ini berimbas pada rendahnya efisiensi pemanfaatan ruang serta jarak tempuh pengambilan barang yang tidak ideal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem pendukung keputusan berbasis Python untuk relayout produk di gudang. Sistem ini menggunakan pendekatan metode penyimpanan berbasis kelas dengan menerapkan prinsip klasifikasi ABC. Setelah implementasi, dilakukan evaluasi terhadap efisiensi pemanfaatan ruang dan jarak tempuh pengambilan pesanan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa sistem ini berhasil meningkatkan efisiensi pemanfaatan ruang serta mengurangi jarak tempuh pengambilan barang. Sistem ini memberikan solusi yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan operasional gudang dan menciptakan tata letak yang lebih terstruktur dan efisien.
